A plan was made with Net61 to find the caches along the HRT trail. We have ridden the trail before, but today we were doing it with 4 wheels (car) rather than 2 (bike). The sun was out, but the day was not too hot - perfect weather for this series. A nice quick find here as we head into Matamata for a well deserved lunch break. TFTC
I had a plan to come down from Auckland with supernannny to do the HRT trail from Te Aroha to Matamata. But she had offered to drive us everywhere in her hybrid car which is soo cheap to run and which was really nice of her. It was pouring with rain when she arrived to pick me up at 7am, did some caches along the way apart from the power trail, visited a friend in Hamilton for a much needed coffee, then home about 10pm. Took me longer to read the hint than find the cache...lol. Nice easy find here G. Me and SN thank you!
Thanks, Glyn...another nice and easy find here. .. We are both a bit soaked to the skin by now.. so sadly, I will leave your other newish ones near here for another time .
A nice quick find here. Struggled to write on log so took photo (may be because pen is not liking the rain now). Tftc
Pen didn't like the rain. We have signed the log but may be hard to see.See photo.
Had been down in Opotiki recommissioning equipment. The line started up well with minimal issues. With everything going well I could head back to Auckland. Of course had to make a few stops on the way!I also wanted to complete this leg of the HRT series which I had started on my way down to Opotiki. There were a few caches before that but on the same road so it seemed rude not to attempt these as well.Another Quick find here.TFTC
We found the trail, we found the marker and we found the cache. A nice quick easy find on the trail and we were pleased no one passed by as they would have wondered what we were up to.One more cache to find nearby before turning around and heading towards Te Aroha.TFTC
On a mish with the NZ Flossy. A great day for it A nice trail to get our heads back in the game before heading to Dunedin. Many thanks.
Found a bit lower than hint. Has probably moved, now more like hip height, but sitting happy so returned as found
Kiwi Does Stuff and ourselves made our way over to Matamata to complete some caches in the area. All were in good condition, TFTC!
Surprising amount of other walkers and cyclists around today - must be the weather! Great to be out on our bikes today on this sunny Sunday, adding smileys to our map. Cache found as described in the clue and is all good. TFTC
On the way home after a day in Te Aroha taking a slightly different route picking up a few caches. Love this track and good to see it being used by walkers, runners and bikers and of course cachers TFTC
Out & about while camping at Horahora for the weekend. Not much traffic around this afternoon, quick park & grab TFTC.
Discovered covered in natural with just the geocaching logo showing. Quite appropriate really. TFTC.
After saying good bye to MCC We decided to go for a wee drive to Morrinsville & MatamataNice quick find here today thanks
After a farewell eventWe zipped off to Morrinsville & MatamataNice easy find sign Log cover back over now off to next oneThanks
Out caching with my brother Tbird53 in Matamata and some of the HRT nearby today. Nicely hidden cache, TFTC
One of ten caches picked up when hitting the Matamata area including part of the local rail trail ride with pinnochio59 today. We used the car for the first few, then jumped on the bikes after lunch to collect a few more along the trail. This one was a quick find. #7729. TFTC.
Boges and I are over finding new caches in Matamata. While he signed the nearby cache that I had already found I wandered down to this one. Still had not found it by the time he got here but spotted soon after. Thank you for the placement.
On a mission with KGD around the rural Waikato. The weather was kind. No one about as school was still in tftc
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) The plan was to run a lap of central Waikato and finish up at the 18@18 event tonight. Our plans blew out somewhat when a decent amount of new hides dropped around Matamata the night beforeHad our sights on the next cache along and nearly overshot this one. Spotted the marker first, then had to scan for the hint-host. A quick find - Thanks G-2. TFTC.
**22,013**** FTF **Nice to grab all these nice new caches, thanks to Caleb for escorting Gramps around the area so that we could run around in the rain collecting them. TFTC
