Logs
A much needed walk through the Fairy Forest after work to blow out some cobwebs, and to grab a couple more caches from this series.*TFTC LuckySteaks #1,031*
#24976. It was getting mugglier as we got closer to the car park. Had a nice chat with a muggle while looking for the cache. Quick find once we were on the right side of the hint object. TFTC.
As we drew closer to GZ, we saw a guy sitting on the end part of the tree, reading. Just one thing for it, explain what we were doing then look for the cache. He seemed interested and once we found the cache, we showed him what it looked like. He seemed impressed that we found it so quickly, so we owned up that we had read the hint first . That is one mighty tree! TFTC.
After a check to how the weather would be, it was off on a 3 day trip to the West Coast, weather tunred out to be great , and a lot of great caches found-, Many thanks to all the caches placers Bitsprayer
Mrs Biggles and I went for a drive to Springfield to pick up a spinning wheel. Time to find a few caches on our way home. This was still MIA on my last visit here. Good to have it replaced - and found. TFTC, Biggles.
Looks where we thought it should be but not there looked all around the tree but couldn't find
Replacement in place. Slightly different location than the initial hide but coordinates and hint are still relevant.
I went for a wee wander to check on this one after another DNF. It is no longer there. I will sort a replacement.
Found a good chunk of bark and luckily didn't have to explain ourselves to the only people we saw who arrived while we were searching here.
Seemed a pretty straight forward obvious hint....no dice for me this morning though. Either very well hidden or awol.....
Now that would have to be the biggest hint item ever!!! Found without the needed log so quickly and rather roughly (it was starting to rain) added our signatures. All OK apart from that and not a dangerous hide. Thank you we enjoyed the chase once again.
After lunching on delightful pies at the Darfield Bakery Mrs BE and I went for a walk in the forest seeking the Fairy Forest #1 - #4 caches. We were both disappointed at the almost total lack of birdsong in the forest. We heard just 1 piwakawaka and 1 other type (which we couldn't see as it was high up in the tree tops). We both wondered why there were so few birds here. Surely the Fairies hadn't scared them away? TFTC.
Came to collect this set, to got for a walk and get a few more points for the Cosmic Challenge. Quickly located in this night little walk, a couple others were out and about this afternoon... looks like I just missed BaldEd too. This one was interesting.... I found the countainer with no drama. But no log book. Weird?! May need a visit from the CO already, unfortunately.TFTC LuckySteaks, 2 find(s) of 6 today, making this find #4910
FTF A cold but interesting walk. A short shower of rain but it takes more than that to send us home. An easy find. TFTC
