Logs
We arrived at the nice and quiet GZ and soon saw the cache. It looked like it would be easy enough to retrieve. However, the long slender branch looked like it would be too difficult to replace. Having learnt our lesson from #1, we left this cache alone.
I made a not too long detour on the way home from Sydney this afternoon to polish off Bundeena again. This one was the trickiest for me- the long place it was attached too made it a bit difficult to get off and back on- but got there in the end. TFTC!
Came here with GeoMonkeyAU to inspect it and saw the CO replacing it so we logged it. TFTC
I replaced the cache with a new cache. We were met by GeoMonkeyAu and GeoLorikeet, who logged their find. They retrieved and replaced the cache in our presence.
Arrived here and saw the CO replacing the cache. How convenient is that?! Nice one. TFTC
My only unfound cache in Bundeena. I shall wait to return until it is definitely there, and probably until a few more caches in Bundeena are published, to make the long drive more justifiable. sesblocker
Oh no, just when I thought I would have Bundeena cleared, this one seems to be missing already. We had lots of eyes in the sky, and the CO even provided a photo to help. But sadly, it has somehow gone AWOL. We shall return.
Found It!A bit windy here today but the pole did the job and I soon had the cache in hand!TFTC
Joint {FTF} with a group from the earlier Winter Wonderland Event. The wind was very strong and it was difficult to return to it's correct location. Visited trackables.
Another group {FTF} with wazza9, Nana Nel, aries 44 and MaxI123 all in attendance. The wind had really picked up and was now blowing a gale, this made for a very interesting retrieval. The branches were swaying and bending , the pole was swaying and bending, its amazing the cache was caught at all. After a few attemps, it was retrieved. Putting it back was even harder as the wind had now really intensified. A few attempts later as the caceh almost became airborn, the correct limb was snagged and cache replaced. Thanks for the fun.
A group {FTF} with wazza9, Nana Nel, MaxI125 (including Mrs Max), Tronador and self, following the Winter Wonderland Event Nearby and getting a joint FTF on #2 in this series. By this time the wind was "gale force" with the trees bending so much we could have retrieved the cache without fishing! (just kidding). During the retrieval a light sprinkle fell on our upturned faces as we squinted skyward. A stalwart effort by wazza9 and Nana Nel. TFTC sesblocker and a F.P. to boot.
Group {FTF }Wazza9 retrieved, I tried to put it back, in the wind it was impossible to get there. Wazza9 made it. Signed the log. Thanks to Sesblocker for the hunt.
Couldnt make it out to the Event today but ended up having some spare time this afternoon for a quick family trip out to these new tree caches. Pretty much the worst conditions we could have picked and of course as always with these it took 10 times as long to get up as back down, but all safely returned!
A group [FTF] with attendees from a local Wazza9 event. With all of us from the event having completed the previous cache of this series, we moved onto this one. Yep, sure enough its still blowing winds up to 50Km/h gusts. With Aries44Duo and Wazza9 retrieving the cache we all waited and helped guide the TOTT movement. Got it in the end, with only minutes to spare before the rain started. Thankfully the rain was only very light. Wazza9 signed as the FTF and the first ink on the paper. After a few minutes we all had signed our names on the log. Time to replace. We think it might be harder to replace this one in the wind than retrieving it!?!? WHAT A GREAT CACHE/HIDE!!! TFTC, signed and replaced.FP awarded for the creativity and how fun this cache was. MaxI125
