Logs

The lurehunter called by for another check. All good, but two online logs have been removed as there is no evidence of their visit on the physical logsheet. If you make the climb up and don't sign the log, then expect your online log to be removed. Some trash was also removed from GZ, please practice cito if you can. Happy hunting!

Teamed up with Janet (Janetwil) to retrieve this cache today, also bought along a TOTT in the form of my grandson. Took a couple of minutes to spot the cache but once that was achieved he soon had the cache in hand, log signed and returned as found. FP for the adventure. TFTC JDOutdoorsAUS

Thanks to dickbev and their lovely grandson I was able to sign this log today. The morning started off a bit wet but by the time we were at GZ it was nice and sunny. Once the cache was spotted he was up and down in no time. Thanks JDOutdoorsAUS for placing this one in such a nice place. Fav from me.

STF! 8.40am. From Duppers' log, this one sounded right up the alley of one of my geokids, so we tied it in with the chance for her to knock off another chunk of her 100 required hours of L-plate driving. That was as terrifying as ever for me in the passenger seat, which made the tree seem less daunting than it might otherwise have been. At GZ, I clambered my way up to the cache, just to prove to myself that I could do it, and then I came back down and let the geokid scamper up and do the signing duties. Then she enjoyed the nearby swing while I took in the view, before we headed back to the car for 30 more minutes of white-knuckled terror. Great cache and adventure FP from me; thanks, Lure Hunter!

**FTF** It's been a while since I've had the time to chase a FTF. I had an hour and a half this morning between an appointment and a webinar and so I checked to see if anyone had grabbed FTF before I left my appointment and saw that there was no one so far and so I decided to make my way over the bridge to GZ. I was surprised that a young local cacher hadn't already been out to find it. It was only on logging that I realised why! I realised before I left the car that I didn't have a pen in my caching bag so I dug through various spots in my car and I eventually found one. I made my way towards GZ, happy that the tide was out because I probably would've needed Boat shoes or ended up with wet runners to get to GZ. I looked around at the obvious tree, went to grab my phone and my pen, and then realised that I had dropped my pen. Of course the pen was brown and looks just like a stick...of course. Retracing my steps, I couldn't find my pen anywhere. Thankfully there were two more spare pens in my caching goodies box so I grabbed both them and returned to GZ at all over again. I climbed up one trunk of the tree and couldn't find anything so I climbed up another tree another trunk. That's when I discovered that the cache was probably right above my head when I climbed up the first trunk so returning there. About 2/3 of the way to the cache was a bit precarious as there wasn't many great footholds, but there were a couple of bumps in the trunk. I didn't have my normal tree climbing shoes with me, but my runners did okay. And of course, as always at least 3 points of contact. Once I had the cache hand it was a little tricky to make sure I was steady enough, so I ended up putting one arm around the trunk and with my other hand opened the cache. I was obviously delighted to find that I was the first name on the log...WOOHOO...**FTF** I took the obligatory photos and then made my way back down the tree. I'm sure the guy paddling up river at the time wondered what this strange woman was doing up tree. Thank you, The Lure Hunter, for placing the cache here and for giving this monkey a bit of an extra workout this morning. I'm very glad you had removed the hooks on your cache guardian.
