Always like discovering a bit of local history, certainly more than doing jigsaws, and I've been checking the history signs around here. Found with MummyPenny today. Thanks paddle chick.

We had to do a quick visit to the supermarket today so on the way home we came to look for this cache. We need a mystery today to help chip away at the challenge caches we are working on, one in Christchurch and thanks to the CO we know of some in Wellington that we have added to the list of challenge caches we are working on.We arrived at GZ as it was just starting to drizzle, so thankfully it was a nice quick find thanks to the hint. Having been in the area for quite a few years we have seen a lot of change over the years. We were interested to see the scout hall on the map, considering when scouting started in the area. I remember when there were paddocks of sheep in central Queen Street. Thanks for this enjoyable puzzle and thank you for the smiley

I loved the puzzle, turns out I'm old enough to remember some of the features but was interested in the ones that were before my time. At GZ I was on the verge of having to admit defeat when success happened. Thanks for the puzzle and the hide Smile

Solved this as soon as it was published but the time, weather and distance meant we didn't get in until today to make an easy find. At least there was some parking left in the area which was surprising seeing as the council have taken everything else. tftc#9867

Hazedarus had this solved before I could even look at it and today with several errands to do out this way we stopped by to look for the cache on our way back.Luckily for us we beat the school traffic so had fewer muggles to watch for.Thank you paddle chick.

Solved soon after publication but left for today while running errands and cachingh at the same time. The GPS and the hint called for attention in different directions so both were checked. The most obvious won in the end.Thank you paddle chick

Nice puzzle, but it doesn't show where all the speed bumps are now located. I didn't go out to find the cache last evening since it was raining hard and I am afraid of the dark. The weather was much better this morning, so I walked over to GZ. I needed the exercise and the Geovan is allergic to all the speed bumps along this road. I followed the hint, but it seems it depends on where you start. I eventually had to widen out from the solved coords to find the cache.Others must also be afraid of the dark, since I got the FTF. TFTC.

I solved this last night when the notification came through. I couldn't get some of the streets I joined together to fit where I thought they should until I realised that the map orientation differed from my point of view! I hadn't planned on finding this today but poor planning meant I was one cache short of my target so it became an obvious choice. Needed some nimble finger work to extract from the cunning wee hide. Found with RG72. This is the only planned cache over here for today, but if it wasnt published yesterday we would have got none today. But we were in the area on other business, so popped by. Pretty simple solve yesterday, although we did go out for dinner halfway through. But the way the weather was, and our lack of proximity meant we never entertained thoughts of a FTF anyway. Today it was all good. Took a few minutes to track down but the hint helped. It is really busy through here! TFTC paddlechick
