21025 - 11:23:00 AM; After a couple of nights in the Blue Mountains with the geohoney for a couple of days of R&R, we are now headed for Sydney for the last night of our trip. After breakfast in Leura, we set off towards Faulconbridge for this Postcard Day Event as we passed through. I managed to collect a couple of caches along the Corridor of Oaks before the start of the event and met another couple of attendees while I was at it. A nice day, a nice venue and good company too! It was nice to meet some familiar faces as well as some newies too and to exchange a few pathtags as well. Hope to get back up this way for some more caching adventures in the not too distant future. #7692- a small group headed to Faulconbridge for this years Postcard day. We had chats about caching and other things and signed a large postcard log as well as looking at some Blue Mountains postcards. It was lovely catching up with people we hadnt seen for a while as well as meeting a cacher from Canberra, LuckyL10n for the first time. Thanks to everyone for attending a relatively local event for many of us, and for those who came further, it was great you could come. Cheers

Made an effort to drive up the hill for this Postcard event and souvenir day. As an added bonus we came with JJCC, so lots of catch-up was involved. It was fantastic to chat with the crew that attended the event. Another successful event WaywardWoman, thanks for organising. The following TBs came through for the mileage: Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's FootballCollected 2 TBs at the end of the event: The Whaley, 15 Year Anniversary Tag

Well be there.

Hmm, competing events so a decision to be made ... do I head to the city or to the Blue Mountains that day? Time will tell ... it's too early for me to resolve that conundrum right now!

01-Sep-24
I'll be there.
