Stayed overnight with friends in Rutherglen after having a most successful day with the sweeps. Now heading to Yarrawonga for a few days and picking up a few caches along the way Another multi that agreed with the check sums first go TFTC de ja.vu
Day to myself, so I decided to head over to Rutherglen and Corowa and complete some of the recently published caches. I spent many weekends caching this area and 12 months before the Mega and really enjoyed the different puzzles and types of hides. So glad to see some returning in some familiar and new spots. Another clever hide, unusual bugs have taken home at GZ.TFTC!
Out and about today poking around Rutherglen and district with Grannan55 and Geodogs. Another stroll along the bike trail, a cool breeze gently blowing. Thank you for placing this cache here for me to find. All good here. Now, onto the next one for the day. TFTC
A couple of surprises at this one, our last cache for the morning. Once again we did our sums and headed for GZ. When we uncovered the container we were greeted by a flurry of bugs as well - surprise #1. We were just signing the log at 11.28am when two cyclists approached and asked if we were bird watching or bug catching - surprise #2. We did explain that we were geocaching - which was something new to them. They told us that they were both in their 80s and lived in Corowa and had ridden from Rutherglen to Moodemere to meet up with their son. We had a few minutes chat and then they continued their ride back to Rutherglen and we walked back to the GeoCruiser. #11,301 TFTC de ja vu - and now to head back to Eldorado to see how the Market is going.
[FTF] We set out to check out the new cycle track and of course the new caches! By the time we got to this one we were soaked with rain and splattered with bugs... but we managed to make the correct calculations and headed back to find the cache. A clever one - deserves a favourite point! Thanks de ja vu for creating a great trail of caches along the newest section of cycle track.
