I came up the big road, that has so much bad stuff said about it, and survived, also had a couple of BBQed snags, survived that also, Thanks to organizers, for making the event go so well, trip back home was uneventful too
Came up from the Gold Coast to lend a helping hand with the fundraising for the 2025 Sunshine Coast Beach Party event. Great turnout of helpers, so oily did the opening shift for 1.5 hours starting with the peeling of the onions, no tears, thank goodness!????It was lovely to see the local community putting their support behind this fund-raiser, and it was fun helping out on the day ????
Alyce and I decided to head up the coast to see how things were going at the Bunnings BBQ. We were rather surprised at how many customers came through to grab themselves a feed, we couldnt help ourselves either. Thanks to everyone that turned up to help out.#4440 - TFTC
Well that was an interesting experience I don't think I have bbq'd for so long in one spot ever had lots of cachers come through to have a chat, and even had a couple come up and say they had literally just started caching - so new they had only downloaded the app 5 mins ago had to go caching afterwards of course
What a great event and it was nice to see the support from the caching community for this event. It was hard to get some people away from the serving area as let others play, lol, but it was very much appreciated and the time that was put in. As the first Monday BBQ for bunnings and us being the first cabs off the rank it was very much an unknown, but we handled the obstacles and got through the day with a good outcome. Again I would like to thank those that came along either to help, to buy product, or gave moral support. Thank you and see you at the next fundraiser.
I came, I helped, I cut onions, I was 'Phil' (fill-in). It was a good day, with some great helpers. Perfect weather too. Now home to do some paid work!
Thanks for organising this beautiful event and cooking a lecker sausages SCBP25
Heading home after a short Sunny Coast getaway. Made sure to stop in for breakfast and say gday to the cooking team. Thanks for the sausage SCBP25 ??
Had an enjoyable hour and a half helping out at the Bunnings BBQ, hopefully it will raise a few dollars for the up and coming event.
Enjoyed our first BBQ Event. I was the bird pied piper.. Sausage yum and 2 cans of drink later. Thanks SCBP25. All good with this Event.
TFTC smile 20605 ?? What a Event Thank you SCBP25 for placing this Event for our enjoyment ????
As suggested by the event organisers, we arrived with my muggle brother Siggi later in the day, first to enjoy a snag and a cold drink.Congrats to the cooking team: the sausages were well cooked, and the onions still with a bit of bite. I noticed the different tasks in the food processing line so I can step in more next time. Thanks for organising this event, SCBP25
Stopped by briefly for a snag this morning. Good to here about the event plans next year, hope the fund raising was successful, thanks for organising the event.
We enjoyed catching up with everyone at the BBQ. We were glad that we made the trip over and we could help out at the event.
I popped in a couple of times while working.Congrats on a great snag sanga.Happy Geocaching Wesso Family
Thanks to MissTT, I didn't get to do much in the way of help, but luckily MrTT woke up at 5am to be am early part of the action. In the brief time I was there, there was a steady stream of customers. It looked like a huge success.
Thank you SCBP25. It was very busy while I was there, and appears to be a great success.
Mr CNQ arrived on Bribie from Charters Towers this evening and will be able to duck around a grab a sausage tomorrow morning, and find out about the beach party next year. Did some sizzles for Townville mega but can't stay as doing house jobs for elderly parents.
I am planning to be there ( having a small brekkie so I can possibly eat a sausage. Try to convince 2 always hungry men to join me). Thanks for organising this event!
I remember I was in town for one of Townsvilles Bunnings sausage sizzles. I even worked for a few hours in the morning then went out to meet the dudes after that. I pitched in and got behind the grill and cooked up some snags. Great fun in 30+ degree temperatures . It was good to lend a hand and help out with a bit of fundraising for the TSV Mega. And be happy to help out againif it was on a weekend.Monday will be a bit of a stretch for me as I prob be working. If Im not working count me in.
