On a road trip with Jag 50 and she got down and signed the log.

A plan was made with Net61 to find the caches along the HRT trail. We have ridden the trail before, but today we were doing it with 4 wheels (car) rather than 2 (bike). The sun was out, but the day was not too hot - perfect weather for this series. We found a sneaky parking place near gz and both got out of the car to locate this cache. Jag spotted this one on her approach to gz. TFTC

Quite a few prickly bushes on this Power Trail....!But we got down, and managed to find and sign without drawing blood!

I had a plan to come down from Auckland with supernannny to do the HRT trail from Te Aroha to Matamata. But she had offered to drive us everywhere in her hybrid car which is soo cheap to run and which was really nice of her. It was pouring with rain when she arrived to pick me up at 7am, did some caches along the way apart from the power trail, visited a friend in Hamilton for a much needed coffee, then home about 10pm. Wouldn't be the last time today having to be on my hands and knees! But we Aucklanders are a hardy bunch...lol. I wish the rain would bugger off. But managed to sign the log without getting the paper wet.

Soon spotted this one upon approaching GZ. Luckily I didnt get prickled on this one. Tftc

Travelling back down to Opotiki for work and as I had left earlier I wanted to cache on the way down to add to our numbers. I had checked and found a new addition to the HRT trail and this looked just the sort of detour that would be of interest.All the caches along this trail were in good condition and were easy to find and log. I took note of all the clues in the lids for future reference.Thanks for setting this up!

Having spotted it, I decided the gloves and umbrella approach was optimal for retrieval. TFTC.

After a nice walk to GZ we were pleased to make a quick find here as the hint sounded like it might be a bit challenging, especially when we saw the prickly bushes. But fortunately the cache was well placed and required minimal prickle interaction. Now on to the next one.TFTC

Having just returned from UK where every cache had us covered in Holly scratches , stinging nettles and thorns we saw the prickles and had an ahhhh moment- luckily cache was not too far into the prickles and soon was in hand. TFTC

Got a call from Boges to have an afternoon clearing this trail of caches. Boges allowed me to retrieve the cache while he waited to sign after I handed it to him. Thankyou for the placement.

It was the first day back at school for the kids so it was a peaceful afternoon with KGD to go for a country drive and get these treasures. The weather forecast was for heavy showers but they went around us. Thanks for putting this together

Plans today was work further up in the Waikato, than up to Waiuku if time was on our side caching.Arranged to meet Squirrel Nutcase at Karapiro, than got a phone call about new caches Matamata.Quick phone call and plans changed. new meeting point Tirau.quick coffee and Matamata bound.Squirrel Nutcase soon had this one in hand.TFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Re-routing, re-routingThe original plan was to meet Gap further up the country. But the multiple pings in my email inbox this morning signalled something big The universe knows Im chasing a milestone, and this HRT add-on must be the answer to someones prayersA bit of a prickly dig. Having an influx of emails this morning, Kiwi Does Stuff and ourselves made our way over to complete this trail. Appreciate the caches! All were found in good condition.

After a massive rush of emails this morning, we delayed our visit over to checkout some other things. With the weather still looking good we made a run for it. TFTC and TFTPT
