Logs
Near GZ we were intrigued by a sign for a house with no nails which was just 3.3km away so we made a brief attempt to look for it a bit later on but our phones suggested it was a lot more than 3.3km away and in the opposite direction so we will have to look into this further sometime. It definitely sounds like something worth seeing. But our mission was to find the cache and it was located nice and quickly. This was the second to last one we needed to find before working out the location of the bonus so we eagerly headed on to the next one to get the last piece of the puzzle. TFTC
Flat means more peddling, but the Kaimai views are amazing. Cache is all good. TFTC
On a road trip with Jag 50. Obviously a great corner for doing burnouts.A quick find here.
A plan was made with Net61 to find the caches along the HRT trail. We have ridden the trail before, but today we were doing it with 4 wheels (car) rather than 2 (bike). The sun was out, but the day was not too hot - perfect weather for this series. We parked in a safe spot down a side street as there was evidence that the hooligans had been doing burnouts near gz. A quick find here amongst some small rocks and we were back in the car on our way to Matamata. TFTC
Thanks to the CO for planning and setting out this power trail. Nice to be a part of it with my own cache. Most of them are quick park and grabs but the odd one taking a bit more time. Took longer than what it should have to find the rock pile
We both had a look around at first, as Gorby has written .I could not see any piles of rocks. While I went to get my phone, to check previous logs, Gorby found it.. under some tiny stones! At least we got to sign it...
I had a plan to come down from Auckland with supernannny to do the HRT trail from Te Aroha to Matamata. But she had offered to drive us everywhere in her hybrid car which is soo cheap to run and which was really nice of her. It was pouring with rain when she arrived to pick me up at 7am, did some caches along the way apart from the power trail, visited a friend in Hamilton for a much needed coffee, then home about 10pm. As we are heading south, we parked up in Armadale rd on our left, and crossed the road from there. We had an initial search without turning up anything. Supernannny went back to the car to check out the logs on her phone, in the mean time I spotted a bit of white, it was the pill bottle cap (with pill bottle off course) found under rocks? Naah, stones I would call it. SN came back and I showed here where the cache was, we were happy we had found it.
Travelling back down to Opotiki for work and as I had left earlier I wanted to cache on the way down to add to our numbers. I had checked and found a new addition to the HRT trail and this looked just the sort of detour that would be of interest. All the caches along this trail were in good condition and were easy to find and log. I took note of all the clues in the lids for future reference.Last for the day... The final cache gave us a round number for cache finds plus I still had a 2 hour drove to accommodation. On the way hone I will attempt more of this trail! Thanks for setting this trial up!
Part 2 to complete the new HRT caches, tail wind on the bike. All caches in good nick... Thanks for setting these up.
This has been a very enjoyable trail some great hide and quick find thanks for the afternoon
After a night in Auckland we decided to go to Te Aroha to Matamata to do the trailNice we rock pile
**#21,187**Didn't quite make it to Wardville, still had a dozen or so caches to find!Soon spotted the rock pile for a quick sign, rolled the logsheet up nicely again and made sure the cache was once again covered
Got a call from Boges to have an afternoon clearing this trail of caches. A little search and the hide was spotted. Thank you for the placement.
It was the first day back at school for the kids so it was a peaceful afternoon with KGD to go for a country drive and get these treasures. The weather forecast was for heavy showers but they went around us. Thanks for putting this together
On a mish with the NZ Flossy. A great day for it A nice trail to get our heads back in the game before heading to Dunedin. Many thanks.
Day trip with McJandals collecting these new caches. Having fun catching up and discussing how we should have got our bikes Oh well next time . Thanks for putting out all these caches and giving us a good day. TFTC
We, of course, carried on with another {FTF}. It took a while to recover adequately, but it's all ok. Thanks pomtom44 ??

With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Re-routing, re-routingThe original plan was to meet Gap further up the country. But the multiple pings in my email inbox this morning signalled something big The universe knows Im chasing a milestone, and this HRT add-on must be the answer to someones prayersWe caught up with nufrat at this location. Best of all, she was just signing the logbook Thanks pomtom44. TFTC.
