Woeful case of cache blindness and time optimism today on my planned kayaking trip. Found a few, couldnt find a few and ran out of time for the rest . Oh well, Ill be back with a better plan and maybe some more geo eyes to help . TFTC
Out for a morning paddle, nice and early to match the good tide and almost no wind.We had made our way across the water to another challenge, and then continued on until we arrived at this one letter box hybrid. We were happy to note that it was was visible upon arrival and the retrieval was safe and quick. Then back in the boat to turn around, and hopefully catch the tide as it started to turn while we cache and make our way back to the car. Thanks Brislions Domsky
Regarding the kayak, I set out from the Dohles Rocks Boat Ramp just after 07:15 hr, and my targets were the new-ish letterbox hybrid cache, and a couple of challenges east from the boat ramp. I ended up kayaking a total distance of 8.3 km, with a moving time of 1:45 hr and a total time of 2:00 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/12696448036). It was just after low tide, and so my initial paddle downstream was easygoing, seeing a school of jellyfish close to the surface. It was then a tough slog paddling against the current, and as I approached the mouth of Pine River and the openness of Hays Inlet, the wind made the waters quite choppy, and I was relieved to finally hit the safety of the wetlands inlet. Other than a few small drops of rain and a gusty wind, it was otherwise a nice morning to be out on the water. The paddle downstream to this cache was by far the easiest of the morning, as it was with the current and nicely protected. I parked my boat, and spotted the cache within a couple of minutes of my arrival. My TOTT was deployed, and cache retrieved without issue; The cache container and logbook were in good shape. There is no doubt that I'm sure I'll need to return this way in the near future for a yet to be published cache, but I didn't mind the excuse for a paddle. Thanks [Brislions](https://coord.info/PRW5NVN) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
An early start today GG1 & I were up before the sun and on the way about an hour prior to sunrise. As we unloaded the yaks there was a robust breeze blowing on the boat ramp but as we entered the water it disappeared and conditions were perfect for our paddle to this joint {FTF}. Arriving at GZ we looked in the dark for about 5 minutes until it was spotted. Thanks Brislions for a fabulous adventure.
Muggle65 and l loaded the yaks last night so we could just wake up, get dressed and drive out to the boat ramp. It was dark when we arrived so not many stink boats around. Only one trailer in the car park and another preparing to launch. It was breezier than l would have liked but not so strong as to be off-putting. As soon as we hit the water, the wind died off to nothing. Quick easy paddle to GZ where we looked for the container by torchlight. M65 soon spotted it and made the retrieval. A fave point from me as this one completed my next loop. Thank you Brislions.{*FTF*} with Muggle65.
