A great AL, Quick find, not sure what was in the grass . It mae wazza9 jump. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO
TFTC,That was scary. Didn't see it but the movement in the grass and sound was enough.Did the AL some time ago and had no trouble getting to any of the WP's. Visited trackables.
Loved this AL, the construction work nearby made it difficult to reach one of the points but we managed to get access along the beach at low tide without having to cross any fences. Fav point from us! Thanks Geomonkeys
Couldn't complete the AL as one of the waypoints is fenced off and today workers were shooing people away. Unfortunately I couldn't get close enough to unlock the question but I think I would have been able to answer it without seeing the plaque as this location is one of my "special subjects" in Australian history. With it being a school day and middle of the day there was no point in contacting the CO. This is a very long drive from home so I shall return when there are more caches around Kurnell for me to find.
Find# 12394Nice quick find after completing the Adventure lab and getting the extra information needed. TFTC GeoMonkeyAU
This was all a bit tricky with the works on the new jetty here. We got to two of the Adventure Lab waypoints outside the fence (shoes and socks off for one) and then drove around to the main carpark in the national park and walked from there. After then visiting the additional waypoint GZ was calculated and we were back where we had gone past earlier. A quick one at GZ. TFTC!
After completing the Adventure Lab frazeydaze headed over to gz for a quick find. TFTC
Should be able to do this one, no problem. Kurnell history around 1770 was my specialist subject when I was working.
Half day off so lets drive somewhere new - where I havent geocached yet. Completed the Adventure Lab on a wet overcast day. Windy. Less muggles so thats a bonus. And yes, this bonus is my first unknown [FTF]. My find count: 2238 Didnt check the tidal times beforehand, yet fortunately I was able to keep my feet mostly dry to visit one location. When I came back there an hour later for the other AL, I would have to wade in the seawater. Nearby the jetty was cordoned off, no problem for geocachers and others. Popped under that jetty, coming from the north.Useful historical discoveries for those keen on 1770s. Thanks GeoMonkeyAU for creating this bonus cache for everyone to seek.
I was out here on Monday doing the AL, but unfortunately this bonus wasn't ready. That's ok, as I always like to come out to Kurnell, and GeoDogZelda enjoys playing at the dog beach. Of course there are "No Dogs Allowed" in NPs, so she was minded by Mrs Brew, while I visited the WPs. When this bonus was published yesterday, I had returned from a long day bush walking around Wedderburn. So I left it for another time, knowing that if you snooze, you loose. I was aware that FTF had already been "stolen", oops gone, so I waited until I had dropped off Mrs Brew at the hairdresser before getting the final digit in the puzzle. It had been raining, but I was already wet from the new trad a few hundred metres away. Fortunately, this was a quicker find, and the rain had eased a little. The AL was a nice walk around Kurnell, and gave some important insight into our early European history. TFTC
