Logs
Found with , that said we both adventured under the bridge. Thankfully no one spotted us. spotted the cache and guess what I saw it earlier but discounted it thinking it was part of the structure. Got it down easily, signed log but had a few issues getting it back up. So I adjusted the hook and gave the long stick (a telescopic one 6.7m in length for window cleaning) to who had no problems getting it back up and we then shot off to the east. TFTC
With Redb and Lynjoh, we came here today to log the nearby masterpiece from the same CO. At GZ the cache was quickly spotted, and we were pleased that John knew what was required to retrieve it, so he had brought along the necessary equipment. Thanks for this cache, Mister Doctor. I'm constantly surprised by your imagination and workmanship.
Another clever Mister Doctor cache for us today. Cruatyvarmint and I were joined by Lynjoh who knew exactly how to tackle this tricky fellow and had come armed with just the right TOTT and know-how. A fun end to a most rewarding day. Thanks for the cache Mister Doctor....loved this one too.
Found with icw (eventually). I should have taken notice of the terrain rating as I made things difficult for myself. I did find a pair of interesting artifacts -- lightning protection testing points. I suppose such a structure would attract the attention of the Van de Graaff accelerator that masquerades as a storm cloud. I returned to my favourite past-time of staring into space and spied a rocket ship that I had previously missed. icw got it down and after the official log signing I returned Buzz Lightyear's vessel to the heavens. Tftc and a fav point.Incidentally on arriving at GZ I found the ghost of the original Launch pad cache. I'll contact the CO and see if they want it returned.
Apologies for the late log. We were away for our anniversary the previous week so had heaps of logs to catch up on! Today we met up with quiet1_au after (his) work and were heading towards GZ and I was on the phone when a dog started barking at me walking past the car he/she was in with the owner. As I was deep in conversation with my niece, I jumped out of my skin lol Then I realised said owner of the dog also happened to be the owner of the cache!!! lol Great to bump in you and have a brief chat Mister Doctor! We discussed fishing poles and attachments and hoped ours was up to the task! We then arrived at GZ and GMelb was able to retrieve the very cool cache fairly easily. Log signed and now for the returning of the cache. I was the first to have a go but being short and having pretty old very short sighted eyes and looking up that high was making me feel dizzy - whilst similtaneously laughing - so I handed it over to q1. After a couple of adjustments to our hook and waiting out a very slow bike rider, q1 was able to make the replacement. What a fun start to today's caching run! We always look forward to Mister Doctor caches as they always provide fun and entertainment. A favourite point to be awarded once we earn another one lol TFTC Mister Doctor - GJMMelb
G&J of GJMMelb and I passed this one a couple of weeks ago but didn't have the required TotT at hand so decided to revisit on our next caching run. Today they came prepared (I had left mine at home...) so we met nearby and headed to GZ - bumping into the CO on the way. After a good chat and some helpful advice (now on the cache page) we were ready for our attempt. G had first go and got the cache pretty quickly. Logged, it was was J's turn to have a go at putting it back and as warned this is the tricky part even with a little modification to the tool. My turn, and we modified it again (similar to but not exactly like the new picture) and this time we succeeded (but not before having to wait for a muggle to pass) TFTC - a favourite point from me for the fun - and a much needed traditional cache to complete my second 365/366 "loop"
Out with Spiffy- and geofamilies. Soon spotted and a lucky fish it was down. But took some skill and bending of the wire end on my fishing rig and steady hands it was back in place! Fav.Thanks to Mister Doctor for the fun and the adventure.
Omegaman1971Support Your Local VillainLive - Laugh - LurkFirst To Find: 194Sidetracked Cache Finds: 142Out and about with Rebel Acts on this sunny Tuesday. It's always great to be out putting smiles on the map, especially on a work day...Elon Musk would approve of this cache for sure.Cheers for the cache and the opportunity to get out and have fun.
Out and about with omegaman, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. I can see how this got broken, it still seems a little broken, getting it down was like space x landing but getting it back with my current set up was not going to work but I have twenty years experience at the Mcgivor school of caching and a quick mod with with what I had on hand soon had us launched again. To think we probably walked under the this the day before publication. Thanks Mister Doctor for the cache.
What fun! We were pleased to see that this one had once again taken off so we made our way to GZ armed with a suitable TOTT .. after a look around we sighted the well disguised target and I was able to retrieve it without too much trouble.. signed the logbook .. then Houston We Have a Problem we did more orbits than the ISS before retrieving another TOTT attachment. And having another go It wasnt happening.. then drawing on inspiration from the challenges of Apollo 13 we did an on the spot redesign of our TOTT using whatever was available .. success .. the eagle has landed .. a big Thankyou to NASA chief rocket scientist Captain Mister Doctor a well deserved favourite point given
After attending an earlier event at Ceres, Skylizard and I stopped for this one on the way home. We were armed with an appropriate TOTT with which Skylizard made the retrieval without too much trouble. Loved the cache container. Log signed and time to return. This was quite difficult - not helped by the particulate end on our tool. I returned to the car to get an alternative. With admirable persistence, finally skylizard made a successful return to where it came from. TFTC Mister Doctor, as always your creativity is impressive. A favourite from me.
Flying back to the workshop to develop docking port mark 2. Back in a few orbits time
I will never get a job at NASA as I crashed the rocket. At first I could not see it, but that is no surprise as my eyesight is not fabulous. Eventually I spotted it and set about unleashing my tool to launch the rocket into my hands. The launch was successful, however the reentry was a complete failure. I ended up with both the rocket and its tether at my feet. The CO was contacted and the rocket is now heading for the NASA workshops. This is a fun cache, but it is the second rocket I have destroyed, so I may steer clear of caches with the word "Rocket" in the title in the future.

FTF gone, was very worried heading down the freeway as I know a few of the hounds.I had left my appropriate tool in the carport but the McGuyver trick was enough to retrieve and a blank logbook was my reward however the trickier trick was to come , couldnt quite replace perfectly but Im sure this is still in keeping with the spirit of the hide.Oh, and 3.5 metres is probably a measure taken from waist high - much closer to 4.5-5. Tftc and adventure.
