Thank you AcaciaWattle for hosting this event and doing a very informative tour of the rainforest. Great day, great weather, great company. Thanks again.
Thanks for hosting this event . We needed an event for a challenge cache, but as we are doing other caches for a challenge we didnt go on the walk. Thanks AcaciaWattle for hosting and I hope the walk went well.
A last-minute decision to travel up to the Sunshine Coast especially for this Event was worth it; I had only hoped that the rest of the family could complement me (although I'm not sure how a five-month-old and three-year-old would have handled the 1.5 hr tour through the reserve). It was my second visit to the reserve, and today's trip was a thoroughly enjoyable experience! There were many learnings that I will do my best to memory, which included: blue quandong and how it should not be confused with the blue condom (thanks [@dahumbug](https://coord.info/PR8W6P9)); natural red apple that can be eaten, although [AcaciaWattle](https://coord.info/PR177AZ0) did not recommend it; the "kla kla" bird was actually a frog (it was a question that we were all thinking, but thanks to [JACS Team](https://coord.info/PR10E63) for asking); the large red cedar's nook should be interrogated and drilled into, with our suspicion that the tree would be fine afterwards (we will campaign on this point in the future); the specific tree term that we did not know (aka not a red cedar, black pepper or stinging tree) was actually "tree"; a popular term for the candle vine or candlestick vine is the "candle light vine", although that term was still to gain popularity (ahead of its time?); and the illusive/alleged trapdoor spider gets trees confused with fence posts, not that we would know as we weren't allowed to tame it from its lair. Thanks [AcaciaWattle](https://coord.info/PR177AZ0) for the event organisation and hosting. In particular, for your patience and putting up with our sense of humour! I hope to see a future tour organised in the next few years that I can educate the kids to the reserve. I really enjoyed the history and education part of the tour.----------Today, [georode](https://coord.info/PR2V198) and I attended the [Rainforest Meander ](https://coord.info/GCAZ098) Event and Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve near Maleny. We then headed north to Kirby's Creek and Curramore for a long walk, and then we tree-fished in Landsborough. After returning [georode](https://coord.info/PR2V198) home, I spent my last hour geocaching around Beerwah, on what was a spectacular day of weather! The [Exploring Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/c4644fe7-d773-4532-9119-634c0e36d492) Adventure Lab was also completed whilst undertaking a guided tour by [AcaciaWattle](https://coord.info/PR177AZ0).
Enjoyed the Event and geocaching friends and all the information about the rainforest. Enjoyable walk. Thanks for your time . Thanks AcaciaWattle. All good with this Event
Jumped on this event when I saw it published particularly with the addition of the guided walk after as I had seen photos of the reserve and was eager to explore - with a guide no less. I arrived early and took some time to collect the nearby traditional and then sit in silence, soaking up both the sun and the sounds of nature whilst waiting for the event time to commence. Wasnt too long before I was joined by the host and then slowly but surely the other attendees arrived. The tour was informative and I learnt quite a few things - both of nature and the cheekiness of cachers. It was a very enjoyable experience with lots of laughter. Managed to complete the requirements of the Adventure Lab and Virtual whilst here. After collecting the final information needed I did change my mind and decide to grab some lunch whilst figuring out the Adventure Lab codeword and was joined by the CO. Lunch finished I hadnt quite cracked what I needed but noting a clue in the journal entries I made a quick dash back in to collect the Codeword. Success!! Time to bid farewell and continue my slow caching journey homeward. Thanks for a fantastic outing.
Sorry to say, but my family is dragging me away from attending this event (kicking and screaming metaphorically speaking). Hopefully I can attend the next one!
Just sent you a message Im so sorry we cant make it anymore. Hope you have a lovely walk.
Hi, apologies for the belated RSVP, but will aim to attend the event. See you then!

Its Mary Cairncross. I cant say no to that. Great idea Acacia/a-Cacher. This has Sunday morning coffee vibes all over it. Winner! In case it wasnt clear well be there.
I am adding this event to my diary. I would also like to join the walk (@1) after as I have seen some photos of this area and it has been on my list of places to visit.
A great spot for an event and coincidently I will be home that weekend. I am also interested to join the walk afterwards. Looking forward to it.
