#8297With a last minute cancellation of family plans that would have had us well out of town, we were free to hit the water this morning - in beautiful crisp conditions too, and a mirrored river to paddle on. Thanks for holding a fantastic event Matt....
Two of us novos catching up with Novocastrians lol on what turned out to be a beautiful morning on the Newcastle Harbour for a water event! Great idea, Big Matt! There was a very slight breeze which was gradually blowing us all into the harbour where we would paddle back into the old dry dock basin; this occurred a few times which was good as it kept us moving around, allowing us to rotate around the group better, eventually catching up with almost everyone. TFTE, Big Matt and Shell!#2058
What a great way to start the day. out on the water in Newcastle Harbour. good to catch up, and prelim a little for next weekend. tried out the new garmin mount on the yak. worked well. TFTE. I think there may be some caches coming
Find#2932A gorgeous day for an early morning paddle. Great to see a few turn up to such a unique event. Thanks Matt for putting it all together TFTEC Big Matt and Shell
A great way to start the day and what a lovely day on the water! Nice to pull up the oars and have a chat and float in the harbour. Thanks all for attending and big thanks to Matt for arranging,
Thanks Big Matt for hosting.Getting out on the water is always nice. Doing it with like minded souls is even better! Photo to come.
I am not really a morning person, but it was nice driving up to the event watching the sun getting higher. A good paddle to test my fitness level, which needs improvement. Really great being out on the water catching up with friends. Thank you for hosting Matt
Sorry, I'd intended coming but had a bad night and not feeling up to the long drive this morning.
Rather than come down really early I had stayed over at Hamilton. Sadly I slept in, getting to the Event at 0745. Great to catch up with fellow cachers. Lovely and quiet morning on the Hunter. Bringing through Trackable Shirt and Spare Car Keys. Thanks Big Matt!
Last minute cancellations mean we'll be there.... it will be a great opportunity to test out some gear we picked up for next weekend....
Looking at the forecast for tomorrow it looks like we are still on! Light winds early before picking up in the morning. Don't forget your life jackets. http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/forecasts/hunter.shtmlSee you there!
This will be a good test for my hand before Colo the following week. thanks for organising Matt
Yeah this looks awesome! A few novos accompanied by [Lil' Geoff](https://coord.info/TB9QQJD) are aiming to be there, weather permitting.#2041
Looking f-oar-ward to it! ??Today I learned that if you're in a kayak, and it flips over in water.......you can safely wear it on your head... because it's capsized.
Sorry to anyone that was confused by the times on the previous version. Hopefully this one is a bit better.
