Like Gorby, JAG had tried to solve this using the cartridge and had problems. After consulting with Gorby, discovered he was having similar issues and had spent a number of hours trying to solve it. The next morning, JAG woke up with an idea on a possible method to solve this. Tried it out, and got some good looking coordinates. So after getting a FTF at Piha, JAG stopped to grab this one on the way home. A nice parking area and safe spot to search for the cache away from the traffic. A couple of sweeps at gz and the cache was soon spotted Thanks Rusty for hiding another Westie cache
Well, Gorby has said it all, really !I had heard about these two reverse wherigos , but hadn't really investigated further .I did, however, notice they were named after two of the Matariki Stars. Then I got a call from Gorby ; he had managed to get some co ordinates ...thanks to help from a geocaching friend. He kindly agreed to collect me on the way. I was chief navigator! It wasn't too long before we arrived .... Luckily, there was space to pull over. After checking quite a few trees...Gorby looked a bit higher , and thankfully, spotted it!Thanks for this ! I then came straight home , and did the solves myself, before logging! Thanks, rustynz!
Yesterday, I was very excited when I saw this werigo come out, but I was over the moon seeing one more come out! They were close together, really nice to see the C.O make this happen, from what I have seen it isn't very easy to put these together! Well done rusty. Then the fun began, let's just say after more than 4 hours stuffing around, I couldn't make it happen, I tried deleting whereYouGo, but then the version I downloaded didn't look any different. (old technology I suppose) It didn't want to play. Then I had to re-enter my credentials a few times. Then I got started, and was able to click on the box that is supposed to give you the meters to the cache, as soon as I did that, the app crashed and put me back to my home page, fluffed around with a few other ideas, then finall gave up. But not all is lost! Today, another cacher suggested something that could help me get the co-ords, and I tried that and away I went. Had co-ords just like that. I can tell the C.O it wasn't my preferred way of solving the werigo, but after more than 4 hours yesterday, I was ready to take what I could get! So seeing as I had to head past supernannny's place today, I asked if she wanted to come along, ( I had told her I was pulling my hair out) she did and I went and picked her up. Rode a pleasant ride to GZ, and just about shot past it. Took a couple of minutes to find the cache, the phone was going to and fro, but I spotted it at head high, and SN signed us in. Thanks rusty for the hide, have seen them before, but I always like them, a fp from me.
