The wherigo app was on the phone, so decided to see if I could navigate to GZ using the 3 sets of numbers. Took pictures of my progress and happily got to find the cache at GZ. Thanks rustynz for the wherigo hide, it worked perfectly tonight.
Like Gorby, JAG had tried to solve this using the cartridge and had problems. After consulting with Gorby, discovered he was having similar issues and had spent a number of hours trying to solve it. The next morning, JAG woke up with an idea on a possible method to solve this. Tried it out, and got some good looking coordinates. So after getting a FTF at Piha, JAG stopped to grab this one on the way home. Soon spotted this one which was just within reach. Thanks Rusty for hiding another Westie cache
Yay....another Reverse Wherigo ! I hadn't heard about them before!Luckily, I was having a quiet day ....after lots of logging last night ....from a power trail. Gorby phoned up to see if I was interested in learning how to solve Reverse Wherigos. He had tried for many hours to do it the orthodox way....but no joy .But we had both heard of an alternative way....I am so pleased to have learned something new .!This one has a really good parking space .And I didn't need a ladder! Thanks, rustynz....and thanks Gorby for letting me be navigator...Favourite Point for sure!
Without going over again the drama I had on the C.O's other werigo, I can say me and supernannny went from that cache onto this one. Another pleasant ride in my sister's car to this GZ, familiar area and I was reminiscing with SN in my younger days I used to ride up these hills towards Piha, no electric bikes then! Found some trick parking, and knew we would be there just a short time, so got to GZ, and there seemed to be a few options, and the hint says above head height, and for a scary moment I thought we need a ladder! Thankfully that wasn't the case, not that would have stopped me, I could have easily gone home and gotten one. So supernannny signed us in and returned the cache to where we found it. Thanks rusty, as I mentioned on the other werigo, I wished I was able to solve them the way they are intended, a fp all the same.
