#23091 @1105A lovely day to be outside in nature walking and caching. It seemed to be just me and the kangaroos out here today. An impressive rock, I'm sure I've been to before. This one took much longer to find than it should have. Somehow I missed it when I first looked there, and ended up exploring all around the rock and in the various nooks and crannies before returning for another look. Thankfully found it in the most logical spot. TFTC.
With some newish caches in one of our favourite parts of Namadgi, and a couple of hours to spare, we did some late-afternoon caching on the eMTBs in this very beautiful valley. It's the first time in quite some years I've seen the Link Track low-level crossing dry.A great natural feature here that we'd all visited previously, but that doesn't detract from the fun of a revisit. This cache was quickly located where we expected thanks to a very useful hint. Thanks for inviting us to explore your orifice, Tankengine!
Took the bike trail further into the hills and soon arrived to cross the blue metal cobblestone path which would be daunting to some.Pushed on and then realised it was a bush bash with shorts on and no cords.Luckily that giant snake in the picture was down at the creek so i moved quick before it returned .Great, no cords and no torch with the first attempt not finding anything. Got the phone torch going and second attempt had two tunnels but got the right one.Signed the FTF spot and replaced as found. This is what Geocaching was invented for . 10/10 . Special spots and hides and something different.Fav point awarded . If i had only realised there were 4 new caches in the area ? ? Many thanks to Tankengine for the Yowie lair cache location and hide.
I wonder how many split tors there are in the area? It's always good to visit a new one. TFTC
