Due to its remote location (to me), and the clues becoming less relavent, I am archiving this cache.

Visiting another unloved cache on the same road was a great opportunity to grab this one as well. First point was interesting given a couple of new vines. I allowed for the age of the cache and took a number I thought was suitable. Thankfully it worked as this terrain is fairly steep for walking or even in a 4wd. Sadly this cache is in serious need of repair, I have done my best to fix the cache and have left a new log book.
TFTC it was a new area for me.

Mos Eisley is a bit like it's namesake at the moment, rundown and dingy Big Grin. Cache container was out in open and sunlight has destroyed the plastic. I left a new log book, pen and hid the cache under some bark to protect whats left.
cache needs;
A new container
A few new swaps (I left a glow stick)
A plastic bag to remove old cache plastic with.

Found it while staying at my caravan at Howqua Valley CP. Steep, but fairly easy walk with my four kids, Justin, Jackson,Callum & Simone. Beautiful view from the top. Took Valentine fridge magnet, left mobile phone hands free mic.
Cache box damaged, log book soaked & no pen. Could not record visit.

Found on our 2nd attempt... Our first attempt yesterday had us trekking through a fair bit of bush due to counting an extra tree which seems to have some new growth on it... Came back today armed wth wiser co-ordinates and found it easily!

After not being able to find the entrance to a previous cache we were pleased to see this one come up on the radar. We hoped that we would be able to redeem ourselves. Even better we were able to turn this one into a drive by. We noted that in the log book people said that they wouldn’t drive up this hill, we couldn’t believe people would walk up it. It’s great to see containers of this size, unfortunately the sun is starting to take its toll on the container and it is becoming a little brittle. The cache container itself was slightly damp on the inside but all cache contents were dry in their cosey zip lock bags.
Took TB Yellow Thing and Shark
Left Magnetic Valentines Frame
Thanks Jedi 4 for a very enjoyable detour.

Team members Keymaster and Queen of Hearts. Couldn't navigate the back raods to this cache so we parked as close as possible and followed the track from the raod. This one was a tough one for I kept tripping over my own feet due to the undergrowth. Easy find hard climb. Q of Heats could only make it half way.

[Located @ 11:30 with Private Ryan.
Visiting relatives in Jamieson, thought we'd drop in and get this one. After describing location from our temp "base camp", our local guide was able to pinpoint it pretty quickly. With all passers-by on the main road thinking our car was a speed camera, we quickly did the maths, and decided to go to GZ via the ]"indirect"[ route.] I was glad we did, the climb was steep enough without trying to negotiate the bush as well! [The container is in good condition and well protected.
Thanks Jedi 4 for a good one.

Put: Mondo Toy
Took: Earphones
Please note that there is an additional tree about to be covered by vines. The vine has started creeping up this tree but it is not yet as covered as the others. This new tree may be more than 10m away but I did not measure it because it was raining.
Phew!!!! That climb was steep! But not as steep as our next cache at GC5C00. We climbed more than 300m up the wrong hill for that find. What idiots we were. Sad

Found on 23/07/04 at 1245 AEST. The walk to the cache is certainly short and STEEP [xx(]. The calculation at the coordinates presented no problems and gave me a rest for the second part of the climb. A quick find at GZ recovering from the climb and a chat to some deer hunters who passed me in their 4WD on the track back down - they couldn't work out what I was doing there Wink.

IN: Hiking Trowel
OUT: 500 pack of cards

An easy find after "A Terrable View". Tried for a drive by but quickly gave that idea away. The short work in was Ok. Got the right answer first time round and proceeded to GZ (I like the easy maths). Spoted cache from 20 meters away - what a wopper (shoe box size). The cache is in good shape and dry
Left toy dog
Tool Sylvester the TB as he wanted to go places.

Thanks Jedi

Now thats a steep hill! I was in the area on a 4 day fishing trip and figured since I was in the area......and since I've had a TB in hand that I've neglected for so long..... Anyway, no problems finding the cache, which was quite exposed (does not seem like its been found for a while) so dropped off TB-Sylvester and covered up the cache. Thanks Jedi.

Found at 5.15pm.
Its been a long time getting to this one due to the bushfires, alot of the area to the north was closed to public access until recently.
Was on my way for a four day walk in the high mountains so called in.
GPS reception was a bit erratic, I found some vine covered trees but GPS was telling me 25m to go.
Since these were the only ones I could see I took a punt. Not sure of how many trees to count so had 2 options, fortunately option 1 paid off.
Cache in good condition, no exchange made.
Thanks for the cache

Found 10:00, with Newell and Sarah. Found easily after a short sharp hill climb (which Biggles Bear and co. didn't need Smile Biggles Bear wished he'd driven ALL the way to the cache).

The EMBI signature item caught Newell's Eye, and a head phone set was left in it's place. Thanks Jedi 4.

Found with Biggles bear on our first caching trip. Took the EMBI signature item which has been shown to many an interested person.
Thanks Embi and especially thanks Jedi 4.

Ha Ha Ha.....Well we did sneak off to find this one...but only cause it was dishes time and I had done the cooking Smile (only fair I say).

We went to the cache area and saw the trees on the way to the waypoint. We figured there was more vine covered trees, but not so.

Something was wrong. So we went back down and counted the trees. We plugged the final coord into the etrex and Darryns laptop.

Two different readings. Somethings wrong.

We fired up the other 2 gps's and all 3 gps's said the same thing and it lead us to the cache.

We didn't have to climb luckily as we had the geochallenger to assist us. My laptop was fine. It's Darryns that always seems to have the datum problem.

I just happened to copy the waypoint from his laptop which confused the macca's.

A trick for young players. If there seems to be a 200m error...its a datum problem Smile

We always work it out though don't we Darryn. Ha Ha

At last... a cache that sounded like an easy one to find! While Embi, Wanderers & Geofreak were out searching for it the previous evening, Maccadad & I took the opportunity to plot various alternatives on Embi's computer. With great relief we noted that the possibilities were all in a straight line along the side of the road.

When we had to hike up a hill to get to the clearing, we should have realised something was wrong. Quickly counted our trees and headed back to the 2WD to drive to the final spot, plugging in the co-ordinates when we were about to head off...

To our dismay the compass pointed right back where we came from! We struggled back up the hill and soon found the container. Nice to see a larger cache for a change! Took a matchbox car and left a set of Tweety magnets.

- BTW it turned out Embi was using the wrong datum on his mapping software, so all the waypoints showed up in the wrong place!

Thanks Jedi4 - look forward to your themed caches!

Found in company with JoMac at 1010 on the last morning of the Vic Cachers Weekend Getaway, and not very far from the camp site. Luckily we practiced climbing hills yesterday at Boulder-dash. While this one was nowhere near as long, it was still quite steep, especially if you do it twice. [xx(] Found the trees ok and the cache itself not long afterwards - one of the larger caches we have found recently. Smile Took butterfly magnetic photo frame, left pack of cards from Boulder-dash. Thanks to the Jedi4 for leaving this memento of a great weekend.

Team Frogger did this cache to finnish off their Vic Geocachers Weekend Getaway. Parked the fully loaded car by the side of the road and attacked the track on foot; the slope may be steep, but at least the distance is managable.
Our tadpole found the cache, and we were happy to see that it was a jumbo cache plenty big enough to hold one of Mummy Froggers hand made greeting cards, so the card and a toy car were exchanged for some blue-tac and the Tweety fridge magnet set (which occupied our Tadpole for most of the trip home Smile ).
Thank you to The Jedi 4 for the cache.
