We have had our eye on this locationless cache for a long time, travelling around with a list of unlogged Turner Sculptures so that we could take a slight detour on a trip in order to log this cache. However, all the times that we were relatively near an unlogged Turner Sculpture, we never had enough time to make the little detour. Today, however, on a whirlwind locationless caching tour from New Hampshire to Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, we went to Mystic solely to see the Dolphin Fountain at the Mystic Seaport Mseum.
Of course, being that winter is *cold* here in New England, the fountain is closed for the winter, containing mostly fallen leaves instead of water! However, the beauty of the sculpture is still evident, even amidst the stark surroundings.
Thanks for the locationless cache!
PS: Pictures will be uploaded before midnight.

Found these sculptures on the grounds of Abbey Glen Pet Memorial Park while searching for other caches.
I cannot find any documentation that these are by the Turners, but the style and detail is definitely theirs. It was fun to learn about the father and son team, and explore some of their work. (We originally went to the New York Aquarium to see their work, but all we found was a pedestal....)
Thanks for the cache!!!

I found this one at the NC Zoo in Asheboro, NC. It is "Preening Great Blue Heron". The Zoo recently received 2 new "Turner Bronze Scupltures" as a gift. I talked my way into the Zoo for the picture. The plaque at the sculpture does NOT have Turner on it but it is the correct one. Here is the web page for reference http://www.eenorthcarolina.org/art/arteecenters.htm.
Here is the specific reference in that article about the Turner scupltures...
Wildlife artist David Turner created six bronze statues for the aquarium's memorial garden. A great blue heron, entwined otters, a mallard duck, and a bottlenose dolphin blend beautifully into the garden. They stand as lasting tributes, indicating a deep feeling for, and connection to, the natural world. David also sculpted metal Atlantic spadefish, swimming among blades of sea grass, above a reflective pool at the aquarium's entrance. These spadefish provide an impressive introduction to the aquarium, and again showcase the aquarium's ubiquitous flagship species.
Here is the link to the Turner Sculpture home page that lists this sculpture at $7,000. http://www.turnersculpture.com/gallery/512.htm

I found this Bronze Sculpure in Germany, NRW near Wuppertal. Viele Grüße Team Snowdream
I went geocaching for the first time yesterday with good friends, the SoccerFanatics. Got my first geocache ever and also my first travel bug. Today, we went to Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland, and this is my first Locationless Cache! There were three unclaimed Turner sculptures, they took one, and here are my pictures with the "Black Bear Family".
We've had a tough time with this one, so are very happy to claim it at last, and as our 200th locationless cache. There are five Turner sculptures at Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland. They are "Rutting Whitetail Bucks", "Timber Wolves", "Bobcats", "Boy on Stilts", and "Black Bear Family". The wolves and bobcats were already claimed. We visited the campus and found the remaining three sculpures. We're logging one for ourselves, and a new geocaching friend will log another later today. That leaves one more on campus for someone else to find.
The pictures show "Rutting Whitetail Bucks", copy 2 of 3, by W.H. Turner, made in 1991. We have pictures of the sculpture with SoccerFanatic and GPS; close-up of the deer; and the plaque.

Place marked on the 02.10.50. at 14:01. That "man" of statue is made of bronze. The statue is for lost Estonian soldiers of WorldWar the 2nd.
Here's a really cool Turner sculpture, located at the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher. The sculpture is called "Spade Fish", and although there was no plaque at the site, we were able to find this listed on the Public Commissions page at the website provided in your listing:

The Memorial Garden behind the aquarium has a few smaller commissions by Turner nestled along the paths: a heron, an otter, a dolphin, and a mallard duck...there are probably others that we have forgotten or just didn't notice! We particularly liked the spade fish work, as the fish seemed to be suspended in mid-air.

This bronze sculpture is a part of public fountain before the town´s theatre in Znojmo (Czech Republic).
This Turner Sculpture "Soaring Eagles" is located in the University Center building on the campus of The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA. I did not realize bronze sculpture was made in Virgina. Thanks for the Cache! This was my first Locationless Cache.
One of the Turner Bronze sculptures at the Salisbury Zoo-The Fisherman-done by W. H. Turner in 2000.
Located in the North Carolina Zoological Park, this Turner statue is a very popular work of art. Children and adults like to sit on the bronze lioness and have their pictures taken.
The statue is called "Lioness and Cubs". The lioness is depicted with a cub by her side and two other cubs are playing tug of war behind her.
Thanks for providing us with a fun hunt!

We found this Turner Bronze Alligator Sculpture on a recent visit to Colorado. It is located in the Benson Sculpture Park at 29th and Beech in Loveland, CO. This is a large sculpture park with many pieces. Turner's was one of the smallest pieces in the park.
We were driving down the eastern shore on our way to Florida and trying to pick up some caches in every state as we went. We saw this one on our list but really did not pay much attention to it as it was not a traditional cache.
Anyway, we decided to stay in the Best Western Inn in Exmore and what is sitting in the lobby but a Turner bronze. There was no plaque with the name and none of the staff new the name either, but we figured we would log it with the info we have and hope it is accepted.
We believe this is a pair of Blue Herons, could not find a name.
The coordinates are N37 32.432 W075 49.110
In the lobby of the Best Western Inn.
