Plugged this into the nav and had to take a couple of detours as the road it asked us to take didn’t exist.
Was good fun driving the bush tracks in the darkness and reminiscing about other adventurers in the past.
Got fairly close to GZ and walked the last part in.
Don’t know how I missed the container from my angle but luckily SirFancy didn’t and we were adding our names to the log.

This evening SirFancy and I were joined by Kapelula for some adventures up in Jarrahdale.
Focused on the TB Art Series and most caches were found quickly and we managed to grab a new hidden month on my Jasmer grid too.
An fun night up in the hills had me collecting18 finds & 1 DNF.

Thanks john53 for placing Jarradale Hide-away for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 21:29 on 10/1/2023.
This is find number 6498 for me.

Down this way so as this was close headed over in our quest for old caches. Soon found but as others have said it wet. Unfortunately I didn’t have a spare log and bag. TFTC
Found it. TFTC Team Cache Hunters. Came back to this area to do this Sweeney Todd series and a few others. This one is one of the others, it had to be as its a golden oldie Happy to make the find, replaced as found.
Came out to Jarrahdale to collect some more smileys. Cache in very bad condition here. Looks like rats have eaten most of the log book! Agent_Q was correct and is still very wet. Have placed more rocks on top to stop it falling. TFTC
Out for a drive thru some puddles!
This cache was located however it was not in good shape. It's say sure to the recent rains the cache had been washed away down hill and is contents had spoilt out. See photo.
I collect it's content and placed it up a the bank a little. This cache will need attention as it was wetter than an otters pocket.
*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*

Quick find- as approaching GZ I could see all the contents that were in container we all over the groans soaking wet. I signed log book best I could and put everything back in container. CO will need to fix. TFTH
After having a ride at Langford Park, I hit a few caches nearby. Thanks for hiding this one so long ago! I got in to GZ in my part time 4wd which was a fun drive. I reckon GZ has changed a lot from when you placed this one. No track left on the rail line and heaps of spikey bushes near GZ. TFTC
Went for a bit of a drive and thought we would fine a geo cache, it was a medium size box in plain sight next to a rock.
This cache was opened and the contents scattered around the place.
I picked up everything I could find and put it back in the container. Will need a new notepad.

Out with Kapelula to collect some more finds in the Jarrahdale area. After collecting the Earthcache we decided to come get this cache. The geo- suv got to this one easily happy to say. Nice find and it’s in good condition. Thank you for making our day more enjoyable by placing this cache.
Out on a wet day doing a bit of 4WDing around Jarrahdale, as well as picking up a few caches. All in all, a pretty sweet, but wet day! [^]
Found this one in the drizzle. Cheers John and Blake!

Out for a morning geocaching with me myself and I! Plan was to finish off the Procrastination Series, then finish off the Book Series, and grab any random ones on the way. And that's exactly what I did!! 57 finds, only a couple DNF's. Pretty happy with that! Apologies for the generic log, but there is quite a few of them!!
TFTC!
TFTC!
Awesome spot, fun little bit of 4x4 to get close enough to walk. Beautiful and peaceful bit of forest TFTC
We headed down to Jarrahdale today to continue on cleaning up the map and claiming those smilies, we had a great day full of lots of laughs and adventures, we only had one DNF for the day but came up trumps here, most of the finds were nice and quick with coordinates being pretty spot on, thanks to all CO’s for placing the caches, we collected some TB’s along the way and will move them on TFTC
Found at 1:46:00 PM.
Wowee, what a day! Today rudi63 and I made plans to tackle the Procrastionation Installation series. So after getting picked up early for a Saturday we set off and found a couple of caches on the way with our first finds being around 0800 and last about 1430. After smashing out the Procrastionation Series with many variants of our names in the log books - some say wc & r63, some are our full names and some are stamped. Really depended on how we were feeling at each one [:o)] - we paused to consider our next move. Thankfuly we had rudi63's 4WD as although most of the track is passable by 2WD there are definitely some places where the extra 2WD really came into its own. Part way through the Procrastination Installation series we also stopped off to gather a night cache in the middle of the day [8]
The decision was made to start the Stephen King series and then turn off to grab the earthcache. Well that didn't work out as we passed under Nettleton Road when we thought we were level with it. Not to matter as we were flying along completing the series. We had one cache that was burnt out but rudi63 had a replacement that suited this sort of series in his car so the owner need not worry.
After a very enjoyable Stephen King series (they are awesome books as well) we made our way towards the Civilisation series earthcache. On the way I grabbed a couple of caches that rudi63 had already done, including one of the older caches in WA. Earthcache complete, we headed for home but first we went and turned a on the Civilisation series into a as well as stopping off for a couple of other easy grabs.
All in all a succesful day with 105 finds to each of us! Not bad considering I was thinking I would get about 40 today
Thanks for the cache john53, it was cache number 2587 for me and was number 103 in my run of 105 finds and 0 DNFs for today's geocaching effort.
Cheers

Miss-Placed and I came down to meet Becknmonts for one last caching adventure before she ventures further afield. We headed off from Gero finding a few geocahes along the way, we stopped at Moora for Breaky and with quite a few laughs along the trip down, we got there.
Day 4 early start again we have a lot of geocaching planned again today, off we go jiggling just a little bit again, lots of big puddles, nice dirt tracks on stand by me series and a few others along the way

This is our last caching day with BecknMonts before she heads to the dark side, so we decided to pick up where we left off standing by me on the railway track, then maybe picking up few a the smaller series as the day continues.
Thank you to all the cache owners for placing these caches and maintaining them. It has been a great trip and deciding to go for quality caches and not number hunting was a brilliant choice on our behalf and we have done nothing but laugh and enjoy the caches we have have found.

Gabs1963 and Miss-Placed came down to meet up with me for one last caching adventure before I venture further afield. We finished being civil to each other yesterday morning, and we started to stand by each other. Today we are hoping to finish the series as well as get some random caches. I love this area, and hope to be back soon. TFTC SVKR_WA
Found Jarradale Hide-away. Cache was very muddy on the outside. All is well inside . No trackables to trade TNLN SL TFTH john53.
Catching up on logging caches as I always forget todo this part after finding with Cravo10 and Barnzy12
I'm not usually home from work when I am unwell however I have several trainees under me at the moment and as I wasn't feeling very well they insisted I stay home, don't mind if I do. I had a great sleep in after planning my journey last night and saving the caches to an off line list.
I woke to the sound of rain and was instantly demoralised, soon however the rain slowed so I got in the car. Halfway to the starting point the rain stopped and the sky's cleared the making of a good geocaching day.
The main agenda today was the procrastination series however after the heavy rains the geocar was a little out of its depth. I soon turned around and started on some other caches in the area until attempting from the other end. Again the geocar ran out of solid ground and will have to return to get the patch in the middle.
All caches were found in good condition started logging in pen until that gave away and then moved to pencil. All caches were placed back as found.
It's very disappointing to see the dumping of rubbish in some of these areas. This area sees some real attention from the motor /dirt bikes and can come around some corners very quickly.

Originally found under family caching name clan-wallace, now re logging under own name.
We came at this one from the wrong direction altogether as we had no satellite coverage & so made it a lot harder than it needed to be. A nice old cache in good condition.TFTC
Teamed up with Granett today to stop procrastinating and tackle the Procrastination Series and a couple of others nearby.
At the end of that Series, Granett mentioned that we weren't far from this cache, which is one of the early caches in WA.
Sat for a few minutes looking at the map, worked out the best way in and off we went. Managed to drive to within 30 - 40 metre of the cache and after the short walk, we found GZ, and then the cache.
For a cache that is more than 12 years old, the container is in great condition. Read through some of the old logs, left out marks in the new log book, and away we went.
TFTC john53. A fave for this cache surviving so long.

After completing the Procrastination series with SVKR_WA we ducked off to find this old hide. Always good to discover a well aged cache that has lasted the test of time. I sense there may be few more visitors here in the near future.
Awarding a favourite here as it fills a spot in my found by month calendar and it slots in to my list of top 20 oldest caches found.
john53 I found your cache at 10:55am, this was the 42nd of 42 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 2666. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

TFTC! Was out today with he intention of completing the procrastination series, the jarrah dale log chop series along with a couple of oldies and some odd ones I've missed on other visits to the area. Was a great day out with a good amount of finds in nice enough weather. Thanks

After grabbing a few other caches in jarrahdale I Decided to see if this cache was still there after not being found for over 12 months. After searching every nook and cranny I re read the hint and searched some more. Then something caught my eye, I wonder? So with the dogs off investigating other spots I started to dig under what had been a landslide and a few moments later the cache was revealed. This cache should be on an add for sistema. Despite being buried the replaced container from 2011 was in perfect condition ( thanks to WA K team) as were the contents inside. This cache is nearly 13 years old and great to see the WA geocaching community keeping it alive. Decided to head back down the railway line to where M4YB and megawat60 were at 'twist of fate' having told them of my find and that the cache was alive and well they decided to go for a smiley after all. Seems this cache like being found by 3 people at a time as the last logs on 10/8/14 were signed by 3 people as well hopefully this cache doesn't go another 12 months before being found again. Cache has been replaced in its same spot as found minus the dirt so now matches the description once again.
Wow what a testament to the worth of a Sistema, all still in perfectly good condition even after a potential landslide covering most of it as the dirt was pretty caked on.
I really enjoyed reading back over the logs on this one and great to see so many names most of whom I know know personally.
Such a great old cache I always love to find these and a great bit of bush land.
Thanks john53.

Megawat60 and I had been at the Twist of fate multi so he could grab the coords there. Back at the GeoJazz, we saw WebblyWA coming the other way, thrilled at making the find of this cache. So I thought, why not?
Some doubts were cast as to the GeoJazz's ability to handle the track, but it has 4 Wheels doesnt it?
I took it slowly over the bumps and ruts and we made it in one piece (at least I hope we did).
Another find here by megawat60, and we had great fun reading the logs from all those years, some cachers we know, some we have never met.
TFTC john53! and I think 53 was a great year too!

Spent the weekend camping out at Manjedal Scout Centre preparing for a youth leadership camp in January. After leaving the campsite, I headed down Johnson Rd with some trepidation in my geo-i30...parked up near the railway line and walked the 600+ metres in to the cache, as I didn't want to get stuck. Pleasant stroll in, listening to the birds and watching the roos go jumping by. Didn't take too long to find it, and saw that jasenjanine and DangerMouse09 had already been here this morning. TFTC John53.
Headed out Jarrahdale for a bit of an adventure in the bush & to see what caches we could find along the way Finding a few caches along the train line, we continued along to this one... We had fun driving the bumpy road & finding lots of muddy mud along the way! Once at GZ the cache was quickly spotted & DangerMouse09 eagerly made the retrieval [^]
Thanks Team Cache Hunters(John and Blake)... We love finding these old caches & we took some time reading through the old logs before decided which way next

I was in the area finishing off a multi and could no go past this one. The container is still in good condition and the hints helped to locate it. Thanks. I signed the log and placed one of our signature tags in the cache for the next finder . TFTC john53
Quick find thanks to the description. Thanks for bringing us out this way. Plenty more tracks to explore. Traded toys. TFTH
We were worried with recent burning off and the last Dnf. But it's all good, cache dry and in good condition. Thank goodness for the photo that's no little stick. Tam found this. Tftc
Our caching mojo left us. After reviewing the listing on line, once we got home we were definately in the right place. However we didn't find it after a good deal of time was spent searching. This doesn't mean to say we think its missing as we have been embarrased by our dnf's before. But this was to be our 1,000th GC.com find and we spent a lot longer looking than we normally would before moving on. We went onto Jarrahdale for a coffee and spent 40 minutes waiting for that as well. This cache will join my "Useless Hint" bookmark list even though the hide is pretty well described in the long decription. The rail tracks are 70 metres away.
Finally got around to finishing off the nearby series today. Was hoping to drag Ballidu Lad out for the adventure too, but he wasn't feeling up to it. Next time he says... Found the right track in, and parked very close to gz. My little subaru handled herself very well on this terrain. Quite pleased with my driving and caching skills here. Thanks john53
We followed the old railway line to get to this one - a totally unnecessary drive on a rather bumpy road. Interesting though. The rail lines have been pulled up where the cache is but most of the line is intact.
Found it and a great hide.... I was a pleasent day out as we completed this section..

4th find on a day out with Geogrands which was their first geocaching experience. They had a great time but I think the technology challenge means that they will accompany us instead of striking out on their own,
Saw the previous logs so brought a new container. Container is now a 1.5l sistema.
Hopefully this cache will be ok now for another few years.

A quick find once we re-read the description. A pleasant walk as we didn't want to risk getting bogged, but the road seemed safe enough as we walked. Such a lovely location, thank you! ^_^
Nice drive in and we parked about 70m from the cache. Found without any problems. The cache container has a crack in the side and I have just checked the hiders profile and they have not logged on for a couple of years and their email is disabled, so if anyone reads this before going out there a new cache container will be needed before winter. This is an old cache so it would be nice to keep it going.
Nice walk with the kids asleep in the car. Found easy enough. Cache doesnt seal real well but its all still dry.

Today is AlliedOz B'day and what did he wish for? Caching and lots of it! So an Annual Leave day was booked at work and an early start to head down south for a full days walking and better yet caching!
We followed the track until we were close and finished the remaining distance to the cache on foot.
The kids claimed a spider, we left a "I heart ammoboxes" badge.
