Barely saw this globe in passing, hidden from street view by trees. It is located at the Belz Amusement Park in Tulsa, OK. Had to drive around the fairground and park to find a way in close enough to get the picture. Finally found a gate open and no one in site and went for it.
This whole earth globe is made of black granite. It's located in the middle of the city of Cape Town, South Africa.
We found our world globe on a stroll through downtown Ottawa. Great spot - check out the pictures! TFTH.
Found this one in the area of the KOEX exhibition center in Seoul Korea. The globe is a sculpture cast in metal and standiong outside the center. For geins I am also uploading a picture from a few hundred feet away with a globe in flowers. It is not permanent so it cannot be logged itself, but I thought it worth sharing.
I will provide photos in the next couple days when I return to Virginia. I cannot download from my camera ... poor planning on my part ... no cable.

"The Life Sphere" globe on display at Coyote Point Museum in San Mateo, California. The globe is about 4' in diameter and is at the center/bottom of an enormous mural as part of the displays here about the cycle of life and nature. Since this is indoors, the coords are necessarily approximated from the ones I took outside and around the building.
This Globe was given to Andrew Johnson School by Service Merchendise as they went out of business. It is hanging in the Cafeteria, where I work. It is in a Public School so I hope that is O.K.

This beautiful globe is situated in the Central station in Stockholm. It's normaly fresh water under it - good for thirsty travellers.
Found several whole earth glodes in the Albuquerque Museum of Natural History near Old Town.
This is located outside Old MAin at State College Pennsylvania - PSU. Donated to the president of the university by the engineeering department in 1928. This unique globe is also a sundial. Quite aengineering marvel today.

Wonderful park here in Frisco Texas, this globe actually rolls around with water under it on the weekends I believe. Thanks for the cache. --Frisco Finders
Found this one easily enough. It is a monument to the veterans of this town. It began as a WW II monument, but Korean and Vietnam war vets are also honored.
This globe is located at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They have these globes in front of many of the animal exhibits to sho where the animals come from. This globe is in front of the penguin exhibit, however there were no animals there as the zoo has closed for the season. It was open tonight and redecorated for a children's Halloween festival.
I found this one at the Savannah Intl Airport. This statue is called "Flight" and is of an Angel holding the globe up with two airplanes circling it. My apologies for the quality of the pics, my flash was not working and even after lightening the pics the details are not great. TFTH!!!

This globe is unique in the fact that it is always rotating. I can remember of a globe being in this location for about 30 years or so. I think someone else had it before the present owners. There may have been some years when it was not there, However I do not remember for sure.

Found this yesterday near Wakefied, NH. Located at Palmer's Motel on White Mountain Highway (RT. 16) In looking through the picture gallery, I see it was logged on 2-24-05 by tigquilt. Took picture for my own records.

Hi! This one is a globe hanging upside down under the roof of the Entry hall in the themepark AUTOSTADT by Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. It weighs 4.5 metric tons and is 12 m in diameter. On this globe the Autostadt would be located at the place where you can see the small clock displaying 10:12 am local time. The sculpture´s name is EXOSPHAERE. More info at http://worldprocessor.com/autostadt/index.html

Las Vegas, Balley Hotel shopping "center"
I found this while vacationing in Las Vegas in one of the ubiquitous shopping centers in the city.
Because I couldn't get a signal in the shopping mall I ballparked the coords in MapSource.

This globe is in the Veteran's Memorial in Viroqua, Wisconsin. This one is HEAVY because it's solid rock. The water under it provides lift, and the whole globe spins on it's axis. And no, the things in the background aren't monolith's from 2001:ASA.
In Seattle's Volunteer Park, there is a large Earth globe next to a statue of William H. Seward, which I find ironic, since it isn't in Seward Park located a few miles away, which, of course is named after him. I guess this is Seward's Folly II .

Located on the roof of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper, this globe itself stands right at 25 feet high. The eagle on top adds another 10 feet.

Whole Earth Globe
Epcot (Future World)
Orlando, Florida, USA
There were a number of whole earth globes at Epcot, but we thought this one was the coolest that hasn't yet been logged. This globe is at Epcot's Mission: SPACE attraction - one of the more amazing rides at Walt Disney World.
The globe itself features moving clouds at various levels, making it fun to watch the ever-changing cloud patterns. Around the globe is a "whoosh" representing the trail of the spacecraft taking off from Earth to travel to Mars.
Thanks for the locationless cache!

World War II Memorial located in Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville, Tennessee
The World War II Memorial was dedicated on November 11, 1997. It features an 18,000 lb. granite globe floating on 1/8 inch of water. The countries on the globe are as they were during the war. There is a small map of Tennessee with lines showing the mileage to different theatres of war. Visitors may stop the globe and turn it with their hands.
The Memorial also has large granite markers that give a brief history of such historic events as the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Battle of the Bulge, as well as scenes from here in Tennessee by using sand blasting engravingsof actual photographs on the markers.
There is a bench that lists the seven Congressional Medal of Honor winners from Tennessee. A time capsule will be opened on November 11, 2045 and contains lists of donors, persons that served, and a separate list of the Tennesseans that served and were killed in combat.
The Memorial is located near the North end of the Park at the 1946 marker and is a must-see for any visitor.

The Louis A. Turpen Aviation Museum at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) features a large Pan-Am globe. It is located in the international terminal, outside the security gates so that it is open to anyone who is interested.
I was driving to a regular cache in Spartanburg SC when I saw this globe. I veered across a few lines of traffic, stopped and the pictures are attached. This is a very nice globe and I was surprised to find out that it had not been logged.
It's in front of the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

One huge globe none can miss! Just 10 minutes from my home and a nice, quick lunch time cache.
I included a TV-guide in the photo to proof the date. It is accessible to the public very easily, 3-dimensional, shows land masses, and can not be moved.
The assignment is to find a large globe and log it here according to the following rules: You log should include a photo of the object with your GPS somewhere in the photo

This is in the parking lot of Star Pizza in Houston, Texas. Great place to eat.
Kugel ball located in Rocky mount, NC. The ball itself is a globe but hard to see etching in pic...I promise all continents are on it though. True globe kugel spinning in MLK Park.
I found this globe while doing other caches in this area. It is located in the window of Village Earth Bead Market. It's completely made of beads including the ice caps and all the continents!
Actually found this one in a virtual ride in an amusement park. Its behind a gate so grubby hands can't get it.
Near the Geographic Center of North America (see GCFE03)

My Grandkids found this one. They took me to the Science Station in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It's near their home and they have lots of fun there. They had to show Grandpa all the planets hanging from the cealing. We spent an enjoyable afternoon doing all the expirments. I purchased an annual family pass for them as a reward.
This globe is in front of the Jai Alai stadium in Tijuana, Mexico. Not sure but I think they stopped playing Jai Alai games here a couple of years ago. Anyway, it was closed the last time we stopped by and seemed closed today. Thanks for this locationless cache.

Southgate
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
While having a locationless caching day (5 for the day!) I was riding past Southgate next to the Yarra River, and having seen this cache in GSAK while looking for candidates, thought this was more than fitting.
Though it's hard to see the continents clearly in the photo, they are there. In the photo with the GPS, you can see the stained glass Antartica at the bottom, with Australia to the left.
The mesh globe has the outlines of the land masses and rotates by the breeze collecting in the the cones above the sculpture. The core inside the globe is made up of rope lights that work at night, and have another independent pair of fans that have it spin in addition to the globe.
I'll try and get a night shot when I'm in that part of town again.

Logging a find from 2004.
My wife and I were spending the day in F'muth.
She went shopping, I went cachingQ
I was logging a series of five caches at Southbank in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This globe is a piece of art in the atrium of one of the shopping centres.
This is a sundial within the botanical garden of Augsburg. Karin and I had some fun in checking the time with it and the GPSr - it was quite right
This is the globe that marks the voyages of British explorer Captain James Cook. Cook is famous in this country for charting the east coast of Australia, including Botany Bay, Port Jackson (now called Sydney) and the Great Barrier Reef. He died in Hawaii many years later, after a disagreement with local tribe members.
You'll find more information on James Cook at this website: http://www.geocities.com/TheTropics/7557/
BTW - The ship he used to chart the east coast, Endeavour, was used to name the last of the Space Shuttle fleet.
