2:50pm Interesting that most others made it straight to the cache. Even after I'd given up on technology and relied on the clues, my GPS *insisted* that the cache was 25m west of where it actually is! Anyway, I (DiDi) found the cache and had a fun time rifling through the contents and reading the log book (while BaBa had a great time sleeping in the car and chatting to me on our radios!). I'd have found it quicker except that, like Maya, I stood on top of it while searching everywhere but under my feet! Piggies claimed the Chaos Cash, the cable ties and a lollipop. We left a screwdriver, a telephone double-adaptor, some pooch-food and something else - can't remember what!!!

Found by Ray and Maya (Nomads) in company with Bret (G1) and David at 9:30PM on Monday June 25, 2001. As a light fog began to settle in the gully, we set off past the scout hall in search of the cache. An eerie experience walking through the forest in the dark. We had no trouble arriving at the location of the cache, but finding the cache was a little more difficult as Maya happened to be standing on it. We exchanged a bundle of tie straps for a music CD. It was great to meet G1, family, and friend whilst in Sydney, having had several discussions with him previously regarding his cache partnership in Melbourne. Thanks to all for the evening’s entertainment. Ray and Maya - Nomads.

G1 and the Arthurs found it!
This is the first cache we have sought and we found it pretty easily, thanks to the twin trunk clue and some patience. Kids had a great time shuffling through the contents, they took a party popper and we left some coins. Well placed and so close to suburbia, but no-one else knows it is there (not even the scouts working on the entrance to the scout hall!)

Team Chaos blundered straight into this one. Yippee! Phil wanted the 64meg but alas it was gone...couldn't even console him with the hard drive!.. Took the puzzle (to be solved and relocated), whilst Phil shuffled through the techno bits. Added another fossil (a trilobite!) and $400 Chaos Cash (no monetary value). Phil threw in a another bagload of goodies. We covered the cache with leaves, but should still be easy for the geocacher to locate!

We had to go to a party at 1pm so came over the Northside to get in as many caches as we could by 12 noon.
This is No 1 for the day, liked the tunnel. Liked the yo-yo even more and left a mouse pad for the cache.

14:45 This make 3 out of 3 for today.!
an intresting location, the Great Wall view on the return trip is kind of amazing. didn't see any snakes. A relaxing wind-down for the end of a great days Geocache hunting.
tidied up around tha cache, someone had left the mess from a party popper there, (bit of a give away) added some goodies to balance out the rather techno stuff. Took the Found It candle, now we have a pair!, and the gamepad. cache in good condition.

A lovely wander along the water with the frogs chorusing to me as I went my way. Easy to find. Took the cds and left a found it candle plus other stuff. Cache was in good condition and all dry.

... I'm getting closer. Magellan keep a fix much longer allowing me to get tantalisingly close. Spent about an hour uprooting large twin (and triple) trunked trees, evicting reptiles and getting blisters (I hope there are some bandaids in the cache!). Third time lucky?

Damn! As soon as I got under the M2 my lousy Magellan refused to reestablish a fix. No shortage of twin-trunked trees either. Lots of bush-bashing, twig-snapping and shin-barking (add cursing). Spiders!! I even saw a bird in one web! ...I'll be back!

So near, yet so far! My wife and I and 3 children sought this cache while we were in Australia for a 3 week holiday. On our way back to Sydney from Nelson Bay, we decided to locate an Australian Geocache. At around 6:00 pm on April 1, 2001, we found the access route near the Scout Hall and proceded up the trail, at which point our GPS batteries died. We replaced the batteries with those from our torch and trekked through the woods and down a paved drainage channel to within 175 meters of the cache. At this point we decided to turn back, as it was getting too dark and the sillouettes of large spiders above us were somewhat of a concern with all we'd read about poisonous spiders and snakes of the outback (and the city outskirts). Your country was otherwise beautiful and we hope to return in a year or two to retry the adventure.

Found It!! My first cache. The hardest part of the hunt was finding the right trackhead at the scout hall. After this the rest was fairly easy. I was on the alert in the M2 tunnel for any close encounters of the slithery kind but only some harmless skinks and lizards made up the welcoming party. The tracks were a bit wet underfoot from all the rain but easygoing. Found the cache by mainly using the twin trunk tree clue and a shuffle of leaves. Lots of silicon head stuff inside but added a simple CD-R and a bottle of Mt Franklin water. Took out the Sydney 2000 binoccies (love olympic stuff) and some of those party bombs. (what no lollies) anyway great fun and looking forward to tracking down my next and maybe creating my own cache.
Thanks for the fun.

Hi there,

Had some fun tonight looking for the treasure, we took the hard drive and cap and left a game pad and yet another drink.

No snakes in the tunnel under the M2 tonight, thank GOD!!!

Covered the stash with leaves again, lower track is best.

Bye for now.

Found it OK. If you are in the Lantana you are in the wrong gully....

Last trip for the millenium. Nice location. The contents were a bit techo, so we traded some stuff to balance it out a bit.
