Thanks for the cache!! We were looking near the path from the top front of the lookout point for ages
We looked in the place and didn't see it, looked at the other one and didn't see it, then when we looked at the first place again we saw it, like it magically appeared - thanks for the find
DNF, looked in two different piles of Punga on the corner but couldnt find it, only had ten mins so may have just missed it.
Die ganze Zeit hatten wir gute Sicht auf den tollen Taranaki und dann kommen wir hier an..voller Wolken. Sehr schade
Doing a bit of a whirlwind trip around the North Island - Lower Hutt-Palmerston North-Hawera - to see friends and family. Have my eye on a few caches to fill in my "months hidden" grid, this being one.Initially I was searching in the wrong area, but as soon as I worked out where I had gone wrong the cache was a quick find. Thanks for another smiley.
Found 2024 placed 2002.Just what I needed for GC9N3FR.Still have a long way to go to qualify for the challenge. There are not too many 2002 cache left in NZ.
First ever find with a friend and the kids after being told about this, we are hookedFun find
Easter Sunday took kids for a walk showed a friend. Walked past it forgetting about the app.
#14,839. Parked for a good walk in Burgess Park. The GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Found after a short search. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*
Found it today while walking in this beautiful park and viewing the beautiful lake Mangmahoe! Tftc.
First find in the walk around the lake. Only the ducks keeping us company and we have hidden a cache in exactly the same place. TFTC
A good cache, invisible from the path. The step was a bit high for my small legs but the cache was easy to find after. TFTC
Beautiful day for a walk round the lake! Never thought of checking if there was a geocache on the way round. Thanks for the cache!
We came and looked for the Taranaki but weather did not allow. Fortunately we found the cache.

Another oldie collected on our NZ north island adventure and another beautiful spot. Managed to find the right path to the hide while being serenaded by a variety of water birds including a variety of inverted black swan. Here I caught a couple on swans synchronizing their upcoming olympic routine. Thanks to trayc.g & smoking gun et all for keeping this oldie active.
Another day in the land of the long white cloud. TeamARF, JACSTeam and I headed south to Wellington. Lots of rainy caching but still some awesome caches and spectacular locations. Thanks to all COs!! One very noisy duck here today!
Day 5: We ( TeamARF, Gcoven and myself) have travelled over from Brisbane, Australia to have a visit since we were not able to make it to the Mega. We have spent some considerable time solving puzzles and making plans in preparation.
Today the plan is to work on collecting things of our list. We have a gigantic list of old, interesting, highly favourited, challenges and a few Geo-arts to try and collect over the next 10 days. There is a good chance we got lazy with our logging and do some joint variation of our initials - TGJ, GJT or JGT.
Please excuse the generic log, just have extremely little data to try and survive on it for the 10 days. However, you can be assured that if we have found your cache it was special to us for some reason or in a special location - so thank you for contributing to our holiday.
I will edit logs when back in Brisbane to add more details to those that need more details and of course I will be adding favourite points as I go along.

No pen so took a pic! A really beautiful spot in a brilliant NP day. Mr found cache, as he usually does! Handy to have a tall partner! TFTC
Having had a bit of a slow start to the holiday period, I finally got on the road and out of town (Wellington) and made it to New Plymouth for a few days. The plan today was to collect a number of specific caches in the area. It was a better day than yesterday in terms of finds vs not, with only one DNF, and it was another glorious day of sunshine, easy driving and wonderful bush walks.
The primary bush walk was the lovely trail around Lake Mangamahoe, an easy walk in a serene environment. All caches found exactly as described and in great condition.
Thanks to the CO for placing this geocache and bringing me here.
I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

Nice place! Unfortunately we did not see Taranaki Maunga, but at least the lake was nice and calming.
Found it on a cloudy day. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the Mt Taranaki but at least the lake. Cache was found quickly after taking the right path. TFTC!
I spotted this older cache and decided to bring the JrGun9 and MiddleGun9 out to find it today.
As we walked to the lookout I checked my phone and, lucky I did because it was right beside us. After a brief look around we quickly found the cache in the most likely spot.

Long weekend away from Wellington, came to check out the Mountain from another angle, made sure no swans saw me while finding this cache
Out with the kids for a walk on a beautiful sunny Sunday. We really enjoyed this one. Easy find and cache in good order.
Thanks, yes the cache was really wet. So we have replaced the cache and hopefully it will keep dry. Cheers
