Day 10 of my fortnight+ road trip up to Brisbane and back to Blue Mountains. A leisurely drive up. Avoiding GC power trails. Randomly driving to various spots that take my fancy. Geospouse Graubunden now with me for five days. This was one of my targeted geocaches for the old placement date for my Jasmer calendar. Did use a finders log to redefine our GZ coords for a better find opportunity. Thanks Tigey Wigey & Piglet for your hide, my 2260 find.
In Brisbane for the weekend with Anne of Green Gables 2. Ive been targeting old caches, so this cache was definitely on my to do list. Im glad someone came and found the cache yesterday as I could see their track in. Searched around for a bit then read previous logs with updated coordinates and these were spot on and found cache.TFTC
TFTC! Everything is absolutely saturated, so couldnt sign today but replaced back where we found it!
Easy find once we got on the right side but needs owner maintenance it was filled with water, couldnt sign the log with @Lacuna__
An early morning start to the day with echocage1.Had been in here before but with the latest rain the yellow daisy (Pilbeams curse to someone from Rockhampton) has taken over and you can barely see where the track should be.Signed and now to face the traffic.TFTCache Steve & Deb
Davinells had a plan, to reach a milestone by the end of the year. But that meant some serious caching, so Ive come to Brisbane where I can cache until I cant walk anymore.Ive been at it for most of the day but theres still some daylight left and this oldie was nearby. I took note of the updated coords in prev logs and walked around the fields and then headed into the scrub. A short search at GZ and the prize was found. Great to tick off another Q100 cache.Tftc Tigey Wigey & PigletFind #4943
This oldie has been on my radar for a long time. This afternoon, I decided to continue my quest to relinquish my membership of the Fat Bastards club with an extended walk in the bush around Mt Petrie. I decided it was finally time to grab this one and side tracked here before my walk. Parking up in the clubhouse carpark (now I understand the cache name! ), I ambled around the perimeter of the field before venturing into the scrub. I was lucky to find a suitable log crossing and thus managed to avoid wet feet. The corrected coordinates I had from a previous log many moons ago were spot on and the cache was found exactly where expected. Thanks for placing this and then maintaining it for nearly 21 years, Tigey Wigey and Piglet ! Pete#7,486
Out and about chasing older caches.Had a little GPS bounce but got there finally.Log signed and replaced.TFTC
While were up in Brisbane Im taking the opportunity to fill in gaps in my Ausmer calendar and finding this helps fill a gap. Thanks to EchoCage for being my chauffeur and guide today. It was quite a strenuous walk for an aging geocacher, but down Dale and through a creek, but interesting to see the regeneration of the bush going on compared to the weeds on the other side of the creek.
What a relic! So much fun finding these old cases - but of bush bashing from the base field to find as significantly overgrown since the rain. Stilly in good condition but no hinges connected anymore.
Out and about this morning to pick up a few south side caches on a beautiful sunny winters day in south east Queensland.
Found a safe place to park the car and made my way to ground zero to locate the cache. Didn’t take long before the cache was in hand and pen applied to the log. Returned the cache to its hiding place and trudged back to the car
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

This was another oldie I've had on my list for some time. So after finding Native Title, I drove down to the baseball field. Interesting about the 2000 Olympics.
Very quiet here today, so I wandered around the field and made my way through a small section of grass, sticks and weeds - I'm glad it was dry. I'm sure it wasn't the easiest way in but it was some sort of geotrail/animal trail. I used the co-ordinates given by previous finders and found the old ammo tin quickly in an obvious place. SL and returned the same way as it didn't seem any easier other ways. Glad to tick this one off the list. Tftc

For this one we really followed our geosenses & after a bit of a walk managed to find what we were looking for!
Loaded it up with some swag, log signed while out with Itste

Sims_family and Dromaniax are on day Four of a our 10 day trip to Queensland and back again towing a 12x8x7 foot trailer that is loaded to the hilt and weighs quite a bit. Fuel efficiency has gone out the window with the Ginja Ninja (My Orange Mitsubishi Triton) going through fuel faster than I have ever seen before.
Day Four the trailer has been left on the Gold Coast to be unloaded so we have a day to ourselves without it. After a night in Brisbane Dromaniax and I went for a morning walk to grab a few caches nearby the hotel before targeting caches around the Brisbane suburbs.
This was a cache that was on the must do list as it was filling a Jasmer month we were missing. After parking we made our way around the baseball area with good head torches we had no problems seeing are way but then things got dense. The over growth here is really something but I was determined to make it through and get to GZ. Once through the first 10m or so it did get easier and the hunt was on and it wasn't long till I was opening the very old cache. I always love this style of container and I did enjoy the adventure.
Thank you Steve & Deb for this very old cache

Today is the fourth day of the Sims_family/Dromaniax big road trip to Queensland and back again. A free day to cache to our heart's content.
We are towing a very big trailer, which was chockers, but when you have a mission, and someone else is paying for the fuel, and there is the opportunity for nine days of caching fresh fields, you jump at the chance.
We have a long list of target caches and hope to cross quite a few goals off the list on this trip.
This cache was one of the must-find caches as it fills a JASMER hole for us.
We were lucky there was no baseball training tonight, and we have excellent head torches.
As other finders have commented, there is a significant amount of foliage, sooner person was the spotter, and the other person entered the deep dark jungle.
The head torch kept disappearing, the foliage was really thick, but only for around ten meters then it thins out a little.
After a few minutes, the cache was found. The hinge on the lid is only fixed at one point, but otherwise, this cache is in awesome condition for a twenty-year-old cache.
Thank you, Steve & Deb, for maintaining this traditional cache for so long.
A Favourite Point from us for the adventure.

I am slowly collecting oldies for the oldies and finest challenge cache and today this one was my target. Just 80 metres from GZ i saw that it was going to be a bit of a bush bash and once i got close to GZ i used my geosenses to spot the cache. Gee the field is kept nice and great history. Wonder if it might get used for the next olympics. Thanks for all the fun
Another one for my Jasmer and another ammo can. Had to fight through some intense greenery from the oval.
Brisbane and Sunny Coast, it is great to be back! I have lived here for a short period many, many years ago. At that time generally only caches at prominent spots or with plenty of favourite points attracted my attention. A lot has changed since then and I am all into the deeper caching stats since quite some time. Some years ago I wanted to put faces to names, so had planned to attend the local Mega Event and find numerous caches while being in the area. Unfortunately, the pandemic got in the way and meant that I had to cancel all travel arrangements last minute. This left me with a list of literary hundreds of caches, which included solved geoarts, caches that were worth getting to due to their old age or their rare type, challenge caches, or caches that would count towards filling my individual size and type D/T matrixes. Fortunately, this list that took months to prepare was not for nothing, as now I am finally back in the area, even if it’s just for a short trip. In the lead up to my current visit I updated my list and tried to streamline the route as good as possible to make the best out of my limited time. The grand aim aside of getting a couple more caches for filling my Jasmer calendar was completing lots of loops! This included completing my 4th and 5th overall D/T matrix loop and completing the D/T matrix using only mystery caches, and only micro sized caches and only small sized caches caches!! Of course the shabby weather couldn’t stop me from putting my plan into action. So, I am now very happy to log my find of this cache after all this effort. Thank you very much Tigey Wigey & Piglet for creating and placing Back to Base-ics! It certainly was a great trip which brought me to great caches and locations!

Today, it was a very early start to kayak from Wynnum to Green Island as per the Community Celebration Event. Sea conditions were rough, but we managed to make the 5.6 km paddle to then enjoy the event, and it was easier to paddle back with the wind. Whilst on the south side with the kayak, THE GREEN GECKOS, Muggle65, E_Smiley and I then took another kayak paddle (although much shorter) from Cleveland to Cassim Island to see the Toondah wreck, which was an enjoyable and leisurely paddle amongst the mangroves.
Following a bite to eat, E_Smiley and I then targeted a few nearby oldies, before taking a walk around The Puzzling Trail. A very enjoyable walk and highly recommended; I managed to make a few more stops in the Capalaba area, before heading home.
Whilst we were nearby to this oldie, I managed to convince E_Smiley to come with me to provide support, as she had already found it before. I had seen some trouble with this one from domsky and Willis007, but it looks like that trouble has been resolved recently. We parked at the baseball park, with a game taking place during our visit, as we walked past and headed towards the edge of the nicely mown and maintained area. Perhaps the hardest part of this one was the initial wall of green that you fight through, but then there were some loose tracks to follow across the creek. I had a couple sets of coordinates input, and in the end, I didn't really need to use any of them as the geocache wasn't too hard to find, although Peppa's coordinates of S 27° 33.966' E 153° 13.103' were bang on the money. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Steve & Deb for the cache placement, and Tigey Wigey & Piglet for its ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 01/2003 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 100 oldest yet active geocaches.

Visited on a Sunday morning so there were no games on. Parked in the empty carpark and made my way between fields and in behind the fenced off facilities, to the right. I must have picked the right path because it was only a very short trudge through weed and grass and mud to the other side where GZ quickly made itself apparent. A nice find here!! Signed the log very happily and made my way back to the others as it started to drizzle. One step closer to that oldie challenge! TFTC
Back again.
Probably a good year and a half ago we logged DNF on this.
After Peppa found it sometime later, we were determined to get back out here again sometime and give it another go.
Today was the day, lovely sunshine and good weather and we knew we would need to be prepared to do a bit of a creek crossing.
We had made the creek crossing last time, however we had just not gone quite far inland enough.
This time, we almost walked straight up to GZ, where we signed the logbook at this Hide.
Lovely to find this oldie!
A big safe ammo can still standing strong.
Thanks Steve & Deb

No luck for us here today unfortunately. I just wasn't in the mood to brave the long grass, scrubby trees and marshy ground. Maybe next time...
Omg The Greenery made this one and absolute mission super happy tour found it to market off the list but when found it was completely full of water. Logbook was completely intact thanks to Peppa and her double bagging have moved cache to slightly higher ground at Peppers coordinates.
Before I ventured down I put in the revised coordinates. Note to crash thru the green wall. Hope no snakes where looking for me today.
Got it. Signed.

Out for a day of caching with KerriMG. In the area so had to stop by this oldie.
Interesting history about the Olympics. Maybe again in 2032?
Using Peppa’s coords I ventured through the grass and made my way to the over side. Then it was a quick find.

Out for the morning with nikid1 & couldn’t drive past an oldie. Bolstered by the recent log from Peppa we parked at the baseball fields & made our way towards his coordinates. The wall of green is still very much there & rather tall, lucky nikid1 is the brave one of our duo & fought her way through to find this oldie & get our names in the log.
Thanks for the cache Tigey Wigey & Piglet & for keeping this oldie alive Imbunda

After getting a couple of PAFs regarding this cache I thought it deserved a revisit… so after seeing friends at Victoria Point I stopped in…
I didn’t even get my feet wet this time… but that initial wall of green is thick… I used my corrected co-ordinates which were out… but I was confident I knew where the cache was… it was buried a little deeper than I recall and full of water…
So I’ve emptied it, double bagged the log with some silica and returned it a little more upright… oh and I was only 7m from the posted co-ordinates today… I’ll amend my corrected co-ordinates when I get to puter…
Play on…

No luck today. I looked for about 90 mins and spoke with 2 previous finders. It has to be there somewhere, it just wasn't going to make itself known today.
Found this cache after some search.
There was a lot of water in the box, and the log book was wet.

This looked like such an innocuous traditional on our map, although it turned into a big adventure. After recent rains, the grass approaching GZ is very long and lush, and the small creek is quite deep and flowing well. We managed to cross to the other side without getting too wet, and then spent a good half hour looking around GZ. Even with a phone call to a previous finder, we had no luck with this one.
Hopefully it is still there.
Thanks

This cache was a target for me today... I felt bad that our DNF logs got the cache disabled, so hatched a plan to return... due to the recent rain, this may have been a foolish plan... our original point of entry was a soggy marsh, but by following the geotrails I was able to hop, skip and jump my way across the water...
This time I ventured further along the waterway and managed to make the find within five minutes... quite different to our last visit... my GPS had me at 17 metres from GZ...
Try
S 27 33.960
E 153 13.105
I grabbed the PT and left some Spanish coin... tftc...

Hard to work out access point as creek looks over grown. Access is best from baseball fields about 10-20m past the fenced off area owned by Redland City Council (look for the danger sign).
First place we looked. Good hiding spot. Clue about log is true. About 10m from GPS coordinates.

Will fix the outer container at a later date but now it has a water proof log and room for swag. Left a Pathtag for next finder.

Not a glorious start to the day out with PirateLinda and Giraffe18... we went round and round with no luck...
Photo of log to prove we found it. Too wet to do anything with. Cache is in need of drying out
Wow what a mission. Firstly that little brook has been a raging river at some stage very recent. Gps marks are close to 10 plus mtrs out. And the hint is not correct anymore. While the log and tree are there the cache is 12 mrs from that point.
It is awesome to have found it and thanks for maintaining it. The cache is full of water and the log is drenched which is understandable with the amount of water that has been through there recently but still managed to sign. Again thanks for keeping the oldies alive.

We certainly earned the terrain rating today! If we'd looked at previous logs we might have realised there is a dry creek bed to cross. Unfortunately, after weeks of torrential rain, the creek has turned into an expanse of water. Some places, where the banks were steeper, the creek was narrower but deeper, and in the end I chose to wade across the shallower, wider part while Mr STW kept hope leather shoes drier and waited on the bank. It put into perspective the mud and damp that we'd sloshed through as we crossed the ovals!
Finally I found the cache which was suspiciously heavy. On opening the ammo can I discovered it was filled to the brim with water! I poured the water out of all the bags but with Mr STW waiting on the other side of the creek and no reply from the CO, all I could do was put everything back in and replace the cache as found. I did manage to sort of emboss our moniker into the soaked log book too.
It was exciting to find an old cache to fill a gap in our charts, so disappointing it needs maintenance. I'll try to contact the CO before submitting a maintenance log. Thanks for maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Out today with my Geocaching’s buddy Grannysmith1947. Our target again was old caches had a few on the list today. But was it a good idea. So hot. As usually we can’t go pass other caches in front us to.
Found 19 caches today. A mixed of Traditional, Mystery, multi and Earthcache. Of the 19 caches were 6 old ones.
This 40 of 50 for Oldest and Finest Challenge
Sorry for the generic post
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC Steve & Deb *367* streak. *2188* Finds

Over in the Redlands for Wacky Wednesday with NyssaFlutterby, and having grabbed another oldest and finest cache near here for us both, we decided to duck past this one for me as well.
A short wander down past the empty playing fields soon had us crossing a dry creek and arriving at a fairly likely GZ. But somehow I missed the cache on first pass. Heading the other end, still nothing so I doubled back and another look made me see what I had missed the first time around.
Thanks for the cache Steve & Deb.

Picked up a few caches, tinning out the number of unfound ones in the area.
Good to log an oldie like this one, getting to closer to the oldest and finest challenge
Thank you for hiding

I had spent a day on Coochiemudlo Island however decided to grab a couple of older caches on the way home.
This was the first of them.
A pleasant stroll past the baseball finds and down into the creek bed soon had me at GZ.
It was not too long before I had the cache in hand.

I've been wanting to do this one for ages and today is the day
I love finding these oldies as most of the time they've stood the test of time and are in good nick. This was no exception, in great condition and full of goodies to look at. Made a swap and happily added my name to the log. All carefully put back in place ready for the next finder. I might add that I may not have found this without reading ESCR's log.
Thanks Steve & Deb for adding to the pleasure of my day.

Made a swap and happily added my name to the log. All carefully put back in place ready for the next finder. I might add that I may not have found this without reading ESCR's log.
Thanks Steve & Deb for adding to the pleasure of my day.

We split up here and started working our way in, I saw in a previous log that it was out by about 15m so started walking at around that distance when I moved something and there it was! Such a tricky hide, I think it was very lucky to find this one!! And another oldie off the list
This was the last one on a lovely day out caching with geogirl and E:)

Back to Base-ics was one of three oldies collect on this trip to the darkside. And my second 'Steve & Deb' find. Left Ms Maddy in the car while I went back to the Base-ball fields. Skirting between the fields, made my way down to the creek. Noted there was no dry path so had to try the walk on water routine. Well it doesn't look like water, its more a coffee shade and the fluid of whatever origins did colour the boots I had on.
At GZ spent some time looking in the general area. Went back to previous logs and noted that the coordinates are a bit out. So popped my head up (meer cat pose) to see where it could be hid. Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm
Went to drier pastures and found something that could be the right size for an ammo tin, For future finders I had about 15m from GZ moving away from the point of entry to this spot. Thanks for placing this cache Steve & Deb and for all the others for maintaining it.

As we were driving to lunch I wanted to swing past this old cache to gather some intel before attacking it. I had read that gumboots would go along away which I normally keep in the boot anyway. My son who has now declared himself an extreme-cacher (trademark pending) just grabbed the gummies out of the car and said he had this.
On the drive he had further outlined the conditions on which he would join me caching, being:
a) no drive-bys
b) mountain-biking caches
c) kayaking caches
d) any trips mum won't go on
e) not when he worked Saturdays
f) not the day after a new PS4 game comes out
I could live within that criteria because he is cheaper to take caching than Mrs Woodyrothwell. He only wants a can of coke and pie for his efforts whereas my wife wants silver service lunch and a glass of wine.
We walked between the fields and when the ground started getting squishy he donned the boots and grabbed my phone and set off. We could see him from on top of the hill but we could also see puddles of mud so we watched his efforts. From 30 metres away we could here him looking here and there and I grabbed my wife's phone to start shouting out some past logs.
"Expand your search area."
"The coords could be out by a bit"
"Its neatly tucked away"
I was shouting out all the helpful information that probably meant nothing to a novice cacher that only puts faith in technology. After about 8-10 minutes I heard the words "hang on" and he lifted up the cache over the trees. I was so proud I could have cried but I was saving up my tears for when I saw the bill at lunch. tftc

After doing a run to cannon Hill for an Archived cache, I raced down here to fine Back to Base-ics as I needed a cache at a Sports field to complete a challenge for GeosportZ 2018. This fit the requirements of within 100 metres. I have passed this Baseball field many times over the years and finally stopped in. I am glad I wore my big gumboots its a bit soggy behind the oval, I found my way in using a feint geo trail its so creepy and overgrown from all the rain, just great another oldie and the environment has changed. I looked for a bit in circles and jumping over a number of big fallen trees, then i used a previous cachers coordinates and yay they worked. I was standing with the listed coords and had 0 metres but nothing was in sight. But the other ones took me straight to the cache. Hip Hip Hooray I can now get the heck out of here I am going to be late for the monthly geocache meeting...signed the log at 5.30pm as the sun was setting. Added more Treasures and all is nice and clean and dry in this cache. TFTC Steve & Deb
While on my way to visit my cousin at Thornlands, I stopped this morning to have a look at where this cache is. There was a man mowing the pitch, so decided to try on my way home.
Pulled in and parked near road side of car park. Noticed workmen on upper oval so decided to walk around the diamond fence to near where I could access GZ. Luckily the creek was only a trickle so could step over it and not get my feet wet.
Near GZ, looked at the obvious places and thinking about the hint, came upon the cache nicely tucked away.
SL, then returned it back to its hide.
Retraced my steps and back to the car without anyone seeing me. Pumping station now complete and able to be walked around easily.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Mrs. VC ventured in alone for this one but after seeing what she had to go through to get to GZ she begged for mercy & returned to the Geo-Beast to keep Winter the Geo-Cat company while I stumbled in.
I tried a slightly different approach & after traversing a variety of terrain types & passing a large but unfortunatley dead python quickly came upon a well hidden cache.
Made our mark & replaced as found.
TFTC where all (except for the poor snake) is good.

After being chased off Mt Cotton by the lightening of a storm, we (Mrs RoddyC and echocage1) decided to try a not-so-difficult terrain one, once the clouds had stopped crying!
There are earth works here - hopefully they will stop before reaching the cache as we did.
Cache was good and dry.
Log signed and replaced at 4:35 pm on 6 October 2017. TFTC, Steve & Deb

Out with Mrs RoddyC today and we swung by here picking up a few caches after our aborted attempt at Mt. Cotton due to the storm. There is some major work going on between the oval and this cache but we got past the barrier and carefully made our way to GZ. We had to choose our path carefully as some of the ground was soft from the rain so we added some mud to our already soggy shoes. The cache was dry and well and just clear of the earthworks going on so hopefully they won't extend any further and affect it. TFTC
After a couple of attempts in gaining a path to the cache while avoiding earthworks, we eventually located the container. TFTC!
Pulled up on the side of the road but nope we weren't getting to the GZ via that route. Drove around the block looking for a back entrance nope! So we pulled into the parking area and walked over. The construction is close but not close enough that you can't get it and got it we did!
Enjoying a trip up from the GC with geo friends where we managed to just sneak around behind the construction site then over the little but thankfully dry creek bed where a nice quick find was made. Thanks Steve & Deb for the good hide and TFTC
Out with geofriends collecting some old caches and when we were walking towards GZ we thought the construction area may have stopped us - but luckily it was OK. Thanks for keeping these older caches going.
There were a lot of groundworks being carried out here with some big machinery. Fortunately for us it stopped about 10 m from where we wanted to head down the slope towards GZ. We had no trouble locating the well hidden and nice geocache which we found in good condition. Thanks Steve & Deb for keeping this old geocache alive for the likes of us. These oldies are becoming rare and we particularly came for this one today because of it's age. Cheers and happy caching! [^]
When we arrived at this sporting complex there was no-one else around. But as we were leaving cars and players were arriving in droves.
At GZ it wasn't long before we spotted a likely hide. Nicely hidden. All in good condition here.
Always nice to find these older caches.
Thanks Tigey Wigey & Piglet

It's the Ipswich show holiday today so I have the day off while the rest of my family are at work and day care. Even though its raining I came to grab some oldies. TFTC
We parked nearby GZ and walked across the pitch for this one . After avoiding walking through spiky plants and avoiding getting injured, we arrived at GZ [^] . We had a 10 minute then deiced to read some previous logs we used the coordinates provided by a previous finder for this cache this navigated straight up to the cache which we soon had in hand . Thanks for the cache Tigey Wigey & Piglet . TFTC!!!
I'd already found a few caches over closer to where I live, and still had some time up my sleeve, so decided to come out here and search for this "Oldie", as I'll need heaps of these for a challenge cache at some time in the future
At ground zero I searched around in a few of the wrong spots, but eventually turned up the cache. A nice ammo tin [^]
From the debri around the place, I'm wondering if this area gets flash flooding during heavy thunderstorms [?]
The log book was extracted from the cache and dutifully signed and dated. Then everything was replaced back as I had found it. All is ready for the next "Oldie" hunting geocacher to come in here and find it [8d]
Then it was back to the geomobile and off home for me having happily found all m target caches for today
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache Tigey Wigey & Piglet

Coords that worked best for us: **S 27 33.964 E 153 13.101**, but the GPS did like to wander.
Well after finding the last electrifying cache, we thought we would try this one based on my statement that "It should be easy..." Famous last words! After going in a hundred circles and with a bit of perseverance the head honcho of TheWilkinsGang found what we were looking for! Hooray! Dodging snake holes and spiderwebs (except one - the neighbours have now heard my vocal range) as well as prickly bushes and cherry tomatoes (why don't they grow that well in my garden?) we made it back to the car alive - tick free (hopefully) and with one more smiley on our map. TFTC, cache is dry and in good condition (and probably safe from muggles, I would say)

Finally get a minute to post this find. Once we walked to geo zone GPS started bouncing all over the place so put it away and looked for geo trails, Dan and I went one way and Jazmin went another. Very overgrown, lots of newly fallen trees here. Walked into some fishing line...no wait, not fishing line, its very strong spider web, o so slowly backing out of it. Found a trail, walked around in circles a bit but then I spotted something that may be hiding a cache, Bingo we found it! Nice and safe spot for it, all good here, nice and dry. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC Tigey Wigey & Piglet. We really enjoyed the challenge. :^)
Today I was out working on my Jasmer Challenge and this cache was on my list and the third find of the day. Thanks for placing. In good condition.

Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
With some free time today we headed out to grab a few of the older caches in the area and this one was first up on the list for us. We set off from the parking area and soon arrived at GZ where we had a quick search and soon spotted the cache and added our names to the logbook [^]

Pass by this one every day on my way to work and decided today it was time to go in. Due to the lack of rain recently it was not as bad as I had been told it was. Can imagine it would be more difficult with water in the creek.
Looked around for about 5 minutes before widening my search. Soon located what I was looking for. Signed the log book and returned as found. TFTC.

This was a great cache. My son sat in the creek finding endless numbers of balls which kept him totally fascinated. That gave me the chance to wander further in to make the find. All is good with this lovely cache. Thanks for placing......
Another older cache conquered today after our Coochie caching adventure. The smart phone didn't want to play today, so caching sense had to kick in until we finally located the container. Tftc Tigey Wigey & Piglet
Out and about with Blake during a bit of a school holiday break. We were in search of some old caches scattered around the Brisbane area.
This was our first stop. On the way to the cache we found a couple of baseballs that had seen better days.
Blake had a shot at signing the log book. He has had a bit of practice during the first couple of months of school.
Thanks for the cache Tigey Wigey & Piglet. Cheers!!

Angloj and I left Toowoomba bright and early hoping to grab a few caches around this area. Having grabbed another old one earlier this morning we decided to grab another one here. Angloj went one way and I went another way. I was the lucky one that came up with the find. Great to see such an old log book even if it isn't the original one. TFTC Tigey Wigey & Piglet
Kestal found as I decided to go around to find another way in. I heard a "got him" and she signed the log
After the frustration of getting to the last stage of Redlander and getting stuck, I needed a cache. An old cache for preference. This one was nearby so I headed over.
There were workmen in the car park and I wasn't sure if u was allowed to park in there so I parked on the side of the road.
Getting out of the car, I scooted around the outside of the field and through an area that looked like it had been cleared recently. This newly cleared land turned out to be very close to GZ. I hope that it is safe.
The cache was quickly found and the log signed. It is always interesting reading back through the old logs even though this wasn't the original log, it was still 11 years old.

NurseyJulie and I headed out to find a couple of the oldest caches in Queensland. We parked at the gate to the nearby sports field and wandered to GZ. Recent slashing made the walk easier, but I was more worried that the cache was safe. I was worried unnecessarily. At GZ, I located the cache in an obvious spot. We added our names to the log and rehid the cache before heading back to the car. TFTC
Out with Selva Girls today finding a few of the oldest in QLD. No play today in the nearby field sadly. We made our way to the GZ and some recent slashing made it a bit easier for us to reach our goal. The GPS was a little out but an appropriate spot for a cache was discovered by SG. Added our names to the log. TFTC TW&P
This was to be our last cache for the day after a great afternoon on Coochiemudlo Island.
On our way back home we stopped by here and after parking the car, we watched some baseball practice in action.
We headed off towards the cache and after reading some previous logs, found what we were look for
Great to see another old cache still going strong, thanks Tigey Wigey & Piglet

6/11/15 Out today with Marina25 to collect some caches for a certain challenge we are working on this month. We finished all our planned finds and had a short time to spare before school pick up so decided to grab this cache as our final. We wandered in and found the trail to follow. We arrived at GZ but no luck with the cache. We search a little further and still nothing. Time was running our so I quickly read some previous logs and the hint. Ahhhh......a little further this way and bingo...there it was and soon the log was signed...just in time too. TFTC Tigey Wigey and Piglet
Took a bit longer than we wanted but with a reread of the previous logs, and after scraping of a few ticks the cache was soon in hand TFTC
Out and about with Orange Crew today (he is corrupting me again). We are searching for some of Queensland's oldest caches for a certain challenge, with a few extras thrown in for good measure along the way.
Trek into the jungle to find this, at least no water in the creek. Fortunate for OC who fell crossing back.

Ahh, that moment when you arrive and the name which seemed unusual suddenly makes sense . We wandered over and after a head scratch and a quick read of the logs, we realised where we needed to go .
We soon found the great container, which was neatly tucked away. On the way back through the long undergrowth, I didn't see the big rut under the long weeds, and fell and smashed my knee.. OWWW . Shook it off and kept going, all good now.
This cache was found in good condition after a reasonable search, bringing our grand total to 1823 smilies. Thanks Steve & Deb for showing us this area, and for placing and maintaining this cache for us and others to find.
