Found this one yesterday, my second attempt hence why I knew it existed.

Found this cache at 2:10 pm, whilst we were travelling from NSW to the Pilbara on the roads less travelled.
Sorry fro the delay in logging it on but we have only just got bach home after 2mnths away.
The cache is waterlogged. tried to dry itout. The view from up there is spectacular. We didnot notice the signs until coming back done.
Took: something? Left: Coloured glass egg.
Took Geocoin Canberra Australia.
Have noticed that it is archived now. What a pity.
Thanks Ian and Sue for the hide.

Are you aware that the road to the top has been closed to the public?

One of our favorite spots to view the area has finally sucummed to the Readymix quarry.

When we visited recently we thought it wouldnt be long before the track was closed and now it seems it has finally happened.

Closing another chapter of our Karratha caches.

Gave this an attempted on Friday, after walking over 1km to the site, spent at least 30 mins searching for the cache with no luck. I should have read the hint.

16-Mar-08
Don't have a 4WD, but checked it out on Sunday. Only 1.15km from the main road. May attempt to walk it this coming long weekend.

After a little looking and disturbing some of our cousins we found it. Another great spot to overlook nature and industry of the region.

The road up left a bit to be desired but the wiew was worth it when we made it to the top. I would suggest that it is 4X4 "ONLY".
The instructions were spot on and the GPS took us to the exact spot good hide.

Good views.

I was standing on the rocks and saw something that I could use to poke around. Then the more intelligent side of my brain kicked in and realised that it was the clue mentioned in the hints and I was standing right on top of the cache.

Thank god for the clue the readings were all over the place due to the rocks.
Great view

Another great place to view the area. Replaced the cache container with a new 1 litre clear Decor container, and left pencil sharpener for the log. LCC, T finders card, tiny paint set and rubbish, L jeep. Dropped Dr Hibbert tb for a visit before grabbing him again to continue his travels.

Found this one too, cache in poor condition. Might spring a new lunchbox for you next time I'm out this way.
Whole area was covered in threads from Golden Orb spiders, looked like someone had lost a lot of fishing line.

Great view on a warm and hazy day. Took a toy cowboy figurine and left a stubby holder. Cache container cover is in poor condition and needs replacing. Wrapped it up in a towel found lying around as best I could and covered with some flat rocks to protect against adverse weather. Great to read the log and see how much this spot has been enjoyed by others.

Team Route me Baby , Virgin cache...decided to walk from bottom of access track for a little exercise, took few mins to find cache once the bigger rocks had been eliminated. Box lid not in gr8 condition & still had water in from last downpour . Tried to dry out as much as possible & zipped up Harry Potter cards in coin purse that we left. Coax cable had slipped down so re-positioned accordingly. Re-positoned surrounding rocks to try to provide some kind water runoff.
Wifey didn't want to hang around too long when we heard "things" moving around inside of rock pile !
Thanks to cache founders ...as we are locals we will be pursuing many of your other caches in the Karratha area & hopefully when we are experienced enough will create a few new caches of our own...

Congratulations on your first find. We have this cache marked for repairs as we inspected it last weekend but neglected to take a new box with us.

Looks like a job for Ian next weekend - it should give him something to do other than lamenting the fact that he is stuck up there and I am down here!!!!!

We checked this cache today as part of our regular maintainence - had expected to find it water-logged after a record rain this cyclone season but to our delight/surprise it was absolutely bone dry!! Fantastic views over the now flooded salt evaporators - it will be months before Dampier Salt recommences harvesting.

Drove up the hill to this one. Looked at the size of the rocks and hoped that we wouldn't need to roll any of these around. But we found cache quite quickly. It was a beautiful morning and excellent views.

TNLN Thanks Team Pathfinder.

I came, I found, I needed the help off the hint. Still all in all a great day out. Seen a movie, found 2 caches and had a couple off beeres at Whim Creek pub. What more could you ask for. To live in Hedland of course!!!!
Oh yes, logged it at 1545.

It took a few minutes to find this cache in the rockpile, but find it we did. The view is for miles in any direction, with good views of the salt evaporators. TN-LN-SL. Thanks to Sue and Ian for a great spot.

Whilst looking for this cache, one of the kids spotted a snake coming across the rocks at us. Dogs, kids and adults went flying, luckily all in the same direction, away from the snake.

Once we had calmed down I had to go back and find it myself. No other helpers wanted to on this one.

Swapped a toy man for the badge and a parrot pencil for the manicure set. Onwards to the next one

Excellent views to the salt pans. We clambered all over the rocks before finding the cache. The clue gave us the hint we needed. Sometimes we are sure these rocks mess the GPS up. This cache has had its share of visitors hasnt it, including snakes. We took a few photos before doing the swaps. We put in a nice manicure set and took out a Duplo man.

What a great view!!! This is a spot I must remember whenever I have out-of-town visitors who want to view the area. They too can share the "exhilerating experience" of not owning a 4 wheel drive!!! Definately not a cache for a hot day if you intend to get some exercise and do "the climb".

Thanks Team Pathfinder for introducing me to it.

This was our first cache & we finally found it on the third visit. Warning - do not use the UTM coordinates as they are about 300 metres out. The kids were excited and took an item and left a favourite toy (favourite for a 4 y/o). Great views.

Pretty easy cache to find. This adventure provided us with an excellent view of dampier and as a tourist, this was well appreciated. Cracked a tinnie, gulped it down then returned to base camp.

No problems in locating this cache.
An excellent view is available of both Dampier and the salt fields.
Cache log indicates that it was visited on 13 Jan 03.
I removed the CCs key ring from the cache and replaced it with a FRED (Army can opener / spoon).
