Also as it's location is on private land, well outside the area clearly specified at the entrance to site as available to visit (see photo which I'll upload when I can) - eg: No access without direct permission from the owners past the shark, I'd suggest it be archived & the cache retrieved.
Maybe bushes are non existent? Actually they are existent! Very large and very prickly! I have some permanently embedded in me now... Prior logs very confusing but I thought the cords were ok. GC.
This cache did a good job of thoroughly frustrating Geomum and I; we just couldn't fathom where it could be with every bush around the GZ well felt-up. We were just about to give up when Geomum made an awesome find. TFTC!
What an amazing place . thanks for encouraging us to visit a place we would other wise never have known about TFTC
This was our last attempted cache late in the day as it poured down with rain. No luck anywhere, plus we weren't keen on going off track with the fissures and cracks that are present in the area. Oh well.
Down here for some orienteering. Had actually given up finding this one but on the way back bumped into Kev who was checking out the nearby Earthcache. He said that he had found it about a year ago but that the GPS had been about 10-15m out. So, with that advice went back and widened the search a bit which immediately saw the cache in hand. TFTC
Took a few minutes in the dark to grab this one. Limestone cliff faces impressive.
We found it after a bit of a search as the bush is dead but found after reading last clue.
Found after a bit of a search Cache is now at ground level covered with a rock in meantime Owner e-mailed
It was not so hard to find this one as 'Earhquakes II'.

Second time lucky for this one. We were here a few years ago and failed to find it. Worth revisiting this interesting site for two caches. tNLn TFTC
A pretty amazing place to have a look around, well worth the walk in. Container was very exposed in the open so have shifted under some branches, still well within the hint range
Thanks

An awesome location with some amazing landscape. An area we would not have visited if it was not for geocaching. Many thanks Bitsprayer for bringing us here. Found with Yeetrees.

Found with YuGeo4, definitely worth visiting, this one was found by YuGeo4, I must be losing my touch, but that’s fine, I was far too busy enjoying the rock formations to worry about it, excellent cache site. TFTC TNLNSL (1340)
This was our second visit to this site. On the point of giving up again Mrs D accidently found cache intact and waiting to be found and signed. TFTC
We had been on a roll until we reached Earthquake. Searched all around GZ but must have missed the cache. We do have plenty of scratches and thorns as evidence of our attempt. We will have to come back another day. Great location impressive landscape.
Great location. No wonder that people got confused about this area.
Thanks a lot for the cache, without it we would haved missed this spot!

A fascinating place. Very pleased we visited the Vanished World exhibts at Duntroon before coming here. We enjoyed poking around looking at fossils plus the extra-ordinary landscape. Thanks for putting a cache here. TNLN
First find on an afternoon of caching after orienteering off Earthquakes Rd. Nice spot, thanks!
Like Kaikawaka we were caching after an orienteering event just the other side of the hill. Neat place. Picked up Furby TB.
Truly amazing area, thank you for taking me there. Easy find - but thats good as it gives you chance to explore. Although, I must concur with the warnings by the cache owner - those crevices are really deep! Take care at night.
Have been here before without GPS, so enjoyed a different focus. Still a great place to visit.

Found by our youngest member. He's very proud. Beautiful quiet spot on a stunning afternoon.
Well worth a visit, neat cliffs and an amazing thing to see the whale fossil. Nice to see the efforts made to open up such places to the public and the excellent information on site. I will certainly make a point of showing others this place in any future travels in the area.

800th cache, yay! Took long enough, for some reason I'd looked over the cache many times - it was very well hidden. however, I couldn't let it go and one last search bought results. TNLN Thanks.
Had interesting time with this one on a very hot day. On my new gps has maps so decided to take the shortest route from the road to the cache, jumped a gate and climbed the hill only to face a vertical cliff strait down. I could see the track that you are ment to go on and even the cache site only about 60m away but had to back track and read the cache details properly and found the track start only about a hundred or so metres from my orginal start point. Quick find but the crevices look uninviting but facinating.
Lovely walk on a really hot afternoon. Fascinating geology, well worth a visit, thaks for the excuse to do so and for making me aware it was here.
An amazing spot, lots of deep fissures to wend around and spectacular cliff TFTC
Wow this was stunning! What a great place to explore. Found with no trouble. TNLN TFTC
Found on our way home to Christchurch after a great weekend in Naseby. What cool rocks, and big holes! Found the cache easily using the clue, it was starting to drizzle a bit. TNLN Thanks
Just Sir Rick and Pippi out hunting today - the Lady was working.
What a terrific spot for exploring.
Etrex led me straight to the cache.
TNLN - cheers.

Pissing down with rain. Took a present left a pen. Grerat fun playing around in the crevices. Think they are actually called tomo's.
My son and I looked and looked, got our car stuck in mud. i had to drag him away at 9:30pm.. had fun, met some sheep and a stray bull. thanks again Bitsprayer...
Found it at 14.45 hrs. Drove by many times-never visited. By geocaching I did!

What a fantastic place. Thanks for bringing us here.
We finally got down this side of the river, after missing that turn in Kurow, and deciding to keep going anyway.
The cache is very visible. The paint is missing off the lid, and there is no vegetation. I covered it with a few sticks to make it a bit less visible. TNLN, thank.

What an amazing place!!!! Apart from the fossils (I actually thought they were a bit boring) the geology of the location and the crevices were awe inspiring.
Definitely worth the visit.

It was quite a prickly affair to get to this cache. Great fossils. Saw the cahe from 4m away. Tried to hide it a little better but did not succeed.

What a cool place! Reminded me of Weka Pass, but I think this place has more fossils Found the cache - surprised it was so exposed (relatively). Had a good wander around afterwards. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [794]
What a neat place, another example of taking up geocaching, and see world. Took elephant left starfish. Thanks Bitspayer.

Well, I certainly didn't know this place existed. It's really quite amazing - and a bit scary - I wouldn't want to be standing at the cache site when the "big one" hits. Then you'd really get "stoned"!! The reason for whale fossils is that the sea was right in here 30 million years ago. Cache was an easy find thanks Bitsprayer. No swaps, cheers from Grandalf.
Wow, some of the holes are a bit worrying! Another place I never knew about. TFTC. TNLN.
Two little girls plum tuckered out. They decided they would let Koro Ton get this one so Nana Con stayed in car with them.
Ton was very impressed with the protection given to the fossils

Some of these rocks look like they only fell last week. Not a comfortable thought, especially after the dire warnings on the sign at the entrance to the area!
Found after a bit of a bad assumption as to likely area. The camo works well!
Took: nothing

7th cache for the day! Great spot. Pity there was no sign about what that object was in the caged rock. + unused $3 phone card. - sewing kit. Just as well the clue was there for I probably wouldn't have found it. My coords S44 52.452 E170 37.484. Thanks Bitsparayer. Cheers.
This is (to me) probably the most spectacular cache site that I've visited so far!

Another great spot. We kept to the tracks as advised and got to the cache site with no trouble. A well hidden cache. The next people in could bring a new 'Geocaching' notice as the one in the container has been attacked by water! Everything else in the cache is in great condition. We took the buzzy bee keyring and left an address book. Thanks again Bitsprayer.

6th cache of the long weekend. Well hidden cache this one - we crawled all over the area, and I got covered in seeds (what is it with geocaching, I always get strange plant seeds all over my polar fleece)

A very cool location and so close to the Elephant Rocks too. I agree that you should stick to the track, some of those holes are really deep. The clue saying that the cache is not in a crevice is a good one. I was really close, but, the cache was well hidden. In the end, I needed to use the hint to confirm that I was looking in the right place. Took and left nothing. Cheers, Donovan.
Not the first to find, Bodger takes that honour. Great place to visit, great place to break your leg in a Limestone sink hole - keep to the tracks.
