Walking from Sassafras to Emerald and back, it proved to be a extremely challenging walk through the rainforest which was has been neglected for many years. Once at Emerald we walked to menzies creek, caught puffin billy to Belgrave and walked the rest back to Sassafras, a 30km walk. This cache was along the way, there were 2 cache containers so i signed both. TFTC
08:48Yes, you can get to a CITO at George Tindale Memorial Gardens by public transport.Sure, I had to be on my first train just after 6:30, but it was a lovely walk to the station in the twilight. A good connection to Belgrave and a bus that dropped me off in Kallista, and I was within 700m of the front gate, straight up (and I do mean up) the old Sherbrooke road.Did I go that way? Of course not. At a tangent, I noticed a cache from the early years within striking distance. How could I not make the detour? After all, I had the better part of an hour. The cache was a fairly quick find... both containers, incidentally, are in good nick, though the larger could do with a couple of fresh magnets. Thanks, Muzza. Great to see you when I reached the CITO... up a hill that probably rivals the direct route from Kallista.#9191
Thank You For The Beautiful Caches, We added toys And Look Forward to Finding more Caches
Such a beautiful location. We added a few trinkets and a pen. Do walk a little further to a second bridge, its beautiful and theres an actual river running over rocks, and a picnic area. Thanks for the lovely cache.
I needed to clear my head after a full-on week, so I headed for the bush. It was so enjoyable to walk and cache in the Dandenongs and surrounds today. This was my last find in the late afternoon gloom, and I used my head torch to locate the container in this lovely scenic location. The magnets have come away from their adhesive, and were stuck to each other, so I separated them and placed them down apart so the container is at least a little magnetically attached. Otherwise in good dry condition. TFTC Muzza
Todays goal to cross out one of the list of oldest caches. Muzza, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area. Also for keeping one of the oldest cache alive
TFTC. Found on a wet day touring the Dandenongs. Whoever has this lunchbox has a small appetite
With 15 minutes to spare before meeting up with our youngest son, LyonsPride3, a tiny detour was made.A pleasant stroll down into a delightful area and a nice quick find at ground zero. All in good order here. Thank you for placing this cache and maintaining it for all these years Muzza.
Beautiful area with a lovely little stream to dip your toes in. Great spot, tftc!
I was out doing a maintenance run to check on my caches in the Dandenong ranges after all of the rain we had this holiday season and in between checks I decided to finally stop and find this cache. This cache has been on my list for quite a while as I needed to find a January 2003 cache in order to fill in a missing month for my [Jasmer](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2018/10/the-jasmer-challenge/).I am glad that I downloaded this to an offline list ages ago because as I was pulling off the road to park the geomobile in front of the entrance I literally had no phone service. After I parked the geomobile it was then only a nice short walk over to GZ.Shortly into my walk I quickly realised why this location was chosen to hide a cache all those years ago, because with the sun shinning today the walk was absolutely magical. Once I arrived I quickly spotted a likely beacon on where the cache could be hiding and after a short search the cache was in hand and the logbook signed. It is absolutely an amazing feeling to find one of these golden oldies, and any cache that has lasted 20+ years definately earns a favourite point for me. A big thanks goes to [Muzza](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=b791aed6-2675-471d-a9db-8ad4eb096daa&wid=bab6ba65-2f20-4f5a-bb92-e589aadce80c&ds=2) for bringing me out to this beautiful location today. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape and the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. The inner contents were all nice and dry and the logbook was clean with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
There are a few bridges around the area so it took a few minutes, but it was fairly easy when I reached the right bridge.
Out and about with the wife grabbing a few caches in the Dandenongs.
It's great we have this area close to home and many caches around.

Great little drop in and claim cache. Have driven down this road many times and often wondered where these tracks went. TFTC
Muddy shoes were the only casualty when getting to this cache.
Two boxes were located. Dropped trackable and signed the logbook in one of the caches.

Having driven past this location many times, this old timer cache was our priority to pickup today. A lovely short stroll to GZ, then as Steve got down and dirty, passed the cache to me for the signing duties.
Really appreciate the dedication this CO displays to not only all of his caches, but especially the historical importance of keeping the old ones in the game.
Thanks Muzza, you’re a legend.

Thanks for the cache Muzza, my Friday treat, on the way home from work, is to find a cache. again I find myself lured to a tranquil location. The Cache is in good condition, regards Victourer
I have a love hate relationship with these structures. I have spent far too long admiring them in the past.
Having said that, we have had some quick success here today although some blackberry tried to convince me to stay a little longer than needed.
One of our earliest finds was on a bridge that has clearly scarred me. Ha. Luckily I didn’t need saving today.
Glad to have found this old timer here today as it fills a hole in my grid.
I am in this area every month or so and I know full well that I don’t have the necessary phone coverage to make a find. Today I remembered before getting here and downloaded offline data and… Bingo.

I had been at Menzies Creek for the day as the Signalman for the *Puffing Billy Railway*... and decided to take a * long way home* through the Dandenongs... and stopping for a cache... or three... on my way home.
This was my second stop... driving past in a car... so it was only a short walk along a slightly overgrown track... clearly not a huge number of people walk this way.
Thanks **Muzza** for the cache... it is fantastic that you have kept it going for so long.

I've walked over this cache many times and not even known it was hidden here! The mud bath was interesting to get it thanks!
I was on my own today after doing a bushwalk with my club in the area. You would need to be a local to know about this lovely little hideaway. Cache is nice and dry but i am not. Thanks for the cache Muzza
One of my personal challenges is to find all DGS, Shogun, Hi Pressure and Muzza caches. As such while heading towards my hiking destination for this morning, I had to stop and take a look at this one.
It was a lovely wet area, and I had the entire place to myself. I must have bumped my head on the cache 3 times before I was able to find it. Signed it at 7 am with the fog just starting to roll in.
Thanks for the cache Muzza

This cache has a hidden date we are after for our Ausmer/Jasmer challenge and we were happy to do a quick detour today and enjoy a lovely sunny walk to gz. The cache was found in perfect condition.
Thank you for highlighting this area with your cache. Next time we’re in the area I’d love to do more of the walking trail.

Found after using my geosenses, nice big find which is always nice! Took the travel bug and signed the log, thanks for bringing me here and for the cache )))
A quick find this afternoon as I was jogging past here on my way up to Alfred Nicholas and George Tindale gardens. Not too many people around, and the whole area had a damp vibe after 50mm of rain in the past day or so (especially up the Sassafrass Creek trail a little before Alfred Nicholas which was quite muddy)
Thanks for the cache, it is certainly a scenic track along here.

An easy find out in the open...

Why did the chicken cross the road?
It had to expand its Search Radius!

The log was sitting out in the open without a container so it was easy to find. I saw the container however it did not have a lid. I found the lid buried in the ground and cleaned it up the best I could without any paper and only a trickling creek. Container and log back in position. Thanks for the cache Muzza.

Ahhhh crap. I just read the logs. I found the stray log. The cache must be there because not all the physical logs matched the virtual logs and I was a bit confused. Sorry Muzza about my fail to merge
Had to get out today for fresh air before this coronavirus situation gets worse. So we headed to the hills for just 3 caches. It was more about the drive than the find.
Having said that, it was satisfying to tick this one off after a DNF many many moons ago
Geomissus spotted the container and left it to me to retrieve.
Thanks Muzza for keeping this cache going.

Not sure about the last couple of logs, I found a logbook in a container with a pen. Thanks For The Cache
It seems as though there may be both a container with a log, and a separate log somewhere else. If anyone finds both, please merge.

*Cache find # 10789.*
After spending some time at Mt. Cannibal, it was now time to find a few more caches with some COTY nominees and old caches as my main targets as well as a few others that I was going by at the time.
This one stood out on the map as it is a member of the first Vic 500 so therefore I had to have a look for it.
I made my way along the path to GZ Where I came across the object that the cache would be hidden on, after a bit of a look I found the logbook in a zip lock bag but that was all, where has the container gone, who has stolen it, anyway I left my mark in the logbook and put it back where it was found.
This one is a log book only, no container.
**Thanks to Muzza for placing this cache.**

Staying in a divine Airbnb just up the road from this cache. It’s a romantic night away from Melbourne But of course that includes a few caches. Cheers.
Out on an amazing walk with my meetup group, thought I would quickly stop for a cache and keep walking. Love this area will be back again soon.

I had an hour to myself.. no children in toe and some of the beautiful sunshine left.. so what better thing to do with my time than cache. Decided to visit this one to help fill in a missing Ausmer. A nice easy find, although I don’t think the terrain is a 1, maybe a 1.5. A lovely spot, thanks for the cache.

TFTC Muzza. Found yesterday. Nicely placed, high and dry and and in good shape. Jimmytherat
Baby tuba 1 found this one, but got 2 dents in the head for it! Nice surrounds, lots of water flowing under the bridge. Thank you!
We found the cache but in order to reach it and sign the logbook, we had to destroy several spiders’ (and some other small wild animals’) habitat. Out of respect for life, we chose not to sign the logbook, so I think technically this is a DNFTC log.
I had the sturdy boots on so i went under. Sinking a bit i got GeowofeE to reach from the side with her long arms. I guided her, telling her to grab the yellow string attached to it. Bahahahah the string was pink but meh...we got it none the less after a good laugh.
