Unfortunately having to archive this one as it has required regular replacement over many years, due to river levels. Perhaps it may end up with a tweak of the final clue in order to relocate the container ...
This cache has had a history of floating away if the river rises enough during winter. Cache disabled until I can determine if the Avon has struck again!
Despite not finding this cache the CO is satisfied that we had gathered all the required info and had searched the correct GZ so we are logging with his approval.
TFTC Team Bungarra this is find #10473 for us.
TFTC Team Bungarra this is find #10473 for us.
Spent a pleasant time hunting down the information and came up with some good looking coords. We came up empty handed at our GZ and after confirming our coords with a previous finder we fear the cache may be missing.
Today I headed out with the geo kids and Kapelula in the aim of collecting some d/t grid fillers and some of our solved puzzles after attending an event in Kwinana earlier.
It’s nice to claim a find here. I C Nothing had done most of the leg work here. A few tweaks to numbers and confirmation from a previous finder we soon had the cache in hand. This one fulfils a challenge and a date found space for us. TFTH!
Searched all around but dnf. The official coordinates according to my device had the location on the road. Will try again when more light. Not going to be outdone
A lovely old cache not far from Civilisation. Local dogs would not stop barking at GZ. TFTC Team Bungaraa
Woohoo, it's a case of 5th time lucky here.
Think I started this multi back in 2013, many DNFs between now Abe then so huge relief to finally find and sign the log. TFTC

We visited the required WP’s and used the information to get our GZ, off we set to find the final and add our name to the list. A nice quick find here in a very quiet spot TFTC
Final able to get this multi. Yay!!! Didn’t cone with suitable foot attire, so my heart was thumping tftc
We noticed that this cache recently had some attention, so decided to finally turn that yellow box into a yellow smiley .
All good with the WP’s with a pleasant tour of the area, but was a little sceptical of the final . Making sure the coast was clear we set off down the hill, and as we got closer to GZ, i felt a little more confident. The recently replaced cache was found quickly, and we added our name to the log before returning as found.

Headed out with Kyzabra, Barnzy12 & cravo10 for a spot of caching out in the Avon Valley, it's the first time this combination has joined forces and I'd have to say it wasn't all that bad. Pretty sure they would've a learnt a thing or two.
On the way home now and we spotted the this one with some corrected coords so pulled over for a look see. Felt comfortable with doing our bit to keep this older cache alive by placing a replacement at the obvious GZ.
Team Bungarra I found your cache at 1:41pm, this was the 26th of 26 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 5158. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

A post on Facebook by Barnzy put thexall our for interested parties to join a caching run today so I raised my hand .
An early sstart had myself, Barnzy12, Cravo10 and Granett meeting in Cockburn. We piled into the Pajero and headed out to the Avon Valley for the day.
Having finished this done time ago, we headed to gz. Have replaced the cache as it’s a shame for these old ones to go missing.
Team Bungarra, Kyzabra found your cache Swan Valley Weave, on 29/12/18. Happy to add my name to the log sheet.
Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Out for a huge days caching with Cravo10, Kyzabra and Granett.
We headed out nice and early to grab a bunch of caches in the Avon Valley National Park.
A great morning out with some nice 4x4 driving by Kyzabra and good finds. One of the finds today fills a gap in second loop of the DT grid.
Thanks for the fun.

Came today with Everlasting who had found the cache in 2012 . Its been muggled again.
Another good poke around at GZ, but alas no joy. Coords have me over the fence in private property so again checked on this side in various spots. Think this needs a CO check.
Well its yet another dnf at the final, my 3rd trip here in the past 4 years. Searched the base of the 4 large trees near GZ but alas no cache.
I collected all of the info from the waypoints and headed off to find the final . It is not a confidence boosting place to search given the amount of long grass etc. I heard some movement in and around my GZ so I got out of there quick smart . No find for me today
Sadly for us we could not find this one .

Pretty surprised to find that this cache had not been swept away in the recent flooding of the Swan. The cache was still in situ although quite muddy. A slight ingress of water which will mean cleaning and replacing the cache. All should be well again within a week.
Unfortunately this is one of two of my caches that would have disappeared in the recent flooding of the Swan River (the other being Stirling Effort), both of which were within 20-30 metres of the (normal) river bank.
I will endeavour to have both replaced within the next 3-4 weeks.

Bungarra

Had my eye on this one for a long time, driving past it most weeks for the kids footy and cricket.
Living on the fringes of the Valley for many years, had visited most of these establishments before and ironically WP4 was on the same road as the footy oval.
When I arrived at the final, I had to abandon the search before even beginning due to some Avon Descent training muggles. The grass and weeds were so long that they had lost their kayak trollry after cleverly hiding it.

Whoops. To finish the story, I was able to return later in the week and make the find in the knee high weeds after about 5 minutes. This GZ will make quite a nasty search area in the summer as the warning on the sign about snakes will attest.
Great effort in keeping this going as there is a paucity of caches in this part of the Swan Valley. TFTC Team Bungarra.

Checked many a tree as the final coords had me in private property but alas couldn't find the cache after much poking and prodding
Took us a while to find as we were barking up the wrong tree. We got there in the end. TFTC.
Got the WP5 details slightly wrong but we were still in the right vicinity, as evidenced by previous logs. So...where do we look? We knew the co-ords were almost right so we just had to vary the S and E until we found the cache! Sounds easy...but in that overgrowth, not easy in practice. Mrs. O. came up with the find after a few minutes of us both scratching around. An interesting spot for sure! TFTC.
Out for a day in the Valley again, lol. We had already done the driving around and worked out the resting place just didn't have time to go a hunting. Today we made time. Parked the car and went for a walk. Mini cachers loved the area, it was a tad overgrown and we were a little worried if it was still there seeing as tho it hadn't been found in awhile. Hubby took my phone and went searching, found it in no time and signed the log.
Thank you for taking us around the Valley

Was exploring options on my route to work and saw this one pop up. Checked the coordinates and knew most of the locations without having to do any actual weaving. Checked the final way point which I wasn't sure of (Seems there is not a lot of bird lovers among us.)
Did the maths and the final location looked incorrect from my knowledge of the local area. Checked the maths again and came up with the same result. Then realised a small error in my mathematical judgement.. So did the sums again and came up with a new answer.. Looked more likely but I still wasn't sure. Send a message to a GeoFreind who had been here before who confirmed the likely area and thought I would go out for a look on the way to work.
Arrived at GZ and upset the muggles that live next door canines. Made short work of the hunt and found the cache. TNLNSL. Thanks very much for the cache.

After a DNF here years ago, I confirmed my coordinate with 2 previous finders. Although it was correct, it took me a very long time to luck upon this cache in an overgrown area. It was chilly when I arrived on my bike at 7:30am and it took me a few hours to defrost after the lengthy search. Such a relief to cross this off my "to do" list. Thanks Team Bungarra.
I found it at last, really overgrown and lots of fallen branches around, the lid wasn't closed properly, and the locals (ants) had found a home in there, I cleaned out and sealed up properly, so they won't be happy with me...lol.
My first Geo-cache, took me a number of attempts, but it was worth the satisfaction in the end

We had lunch at WP1 and decided to take the time to do this multi - a bit of an unloved cache and an oldie! Collected the clues, got a wrong set of coords, had an issue with one clue, made a guess, headed to coords. Nope this can't possibly be right. Rechecked the listing and saw where we had gone wrong. With the help of google for one troublesome clue we then had a much more likely looking set of coords. So back we went after our 20km detour to a familiar location. Headed in towards GZ and after a bit of persistence, heard the clunk that signified we'd struck gold . Very happy to have ticked this one off in the end. Thanks for keeping it alive. Our last in WA.
Thanks Team Bungarra
Thanks Team Bungarra
It hasn't been logged for a while but we can confirm it is still there. Had to poke around for a while as it is very covered in grass and the like. As we were thinking it wasn't there we heard the trusty clunk of stick on plastic and there it was. Thanks for the adventure.[^]
Managed to pinpoint GZ a while ago, today was the first chance to grab it whilst driving past.
We were able to track this one down whilst sat at home which is probably not what the CO intended, the only thing that gave us any problems was identifying the bird and since then I have seen dozens of them!
Taking heed of the sign near GZ we ventured down to the cache on foot, we were a bit dubious about the long grass but went forward anyway getting quite wet in the process, GZ was spot on and the cache was uncovered after a bit of a probe.
The journey out was much shorter, I would recommend to any future searchers to hug the fenceline to the West until you are almost at GZ, much shorter distance to travel in the grass.

Paid attention to the "deeper probing clue". Geospouse more interested in near naked wildlife getting changed in the carpark. Best done in winter when snakes are asleep. Great sense of achievement to crack this one. Thanks!
Out geocaching for my Mum's 75th birthday. I think we found all the way points correctly and worked through the clues but by the time we got to the final location it was getting dark and the GPSr seemed to be having a few issues. After a bit of searching we decided to try again another day after rechecking the clues. A disappointing end to a great day caching with my family.
Better luck next time

Had a wonderful time, lunch at the first site (can highly recommend it), unfortunately may have got the bird wrong, searched high and low at a wonderful looking final location but found nothing, however the grass was two feet high!! TFTC,
This was lots of fun, we enjoyed the moments of frustration when we couldn't think what the bird was called and when we couldn't locate the cache at GZ. But we persevered and even saw a flock of those pesky birds. Thanks!
Finally come and find it which we worked out the multi since 2005/06 - Signed the log. Thanks Team Bungarra
Met up this morning with Tanzanite for a couple of hours of mischief bimbling around
the Swan Valley.
This Cache and the "Swan Valley Safe" were the only Caches on my must do list for this morning.
However we still managed to spend four hours exploring the area both by foot and car,
collecting a number of other Caches and Waypoints on route.
Finally we made it to GZ.
The area is certainly overgrown, and we didn't spot the Cache on first inspection, however after some deeper
probing by Tanzanite she uncovered the Cache.
Delighted to finally have this one completed, I've been looking at it for the last four years as a must do.
Its also one of the oldest Caches I've found, 2003 , and it's still going strong .
Cheers for the Cache and the morning out in the Swan.

Sadly another epic fail on a multi cache. Huge ride (which involved some getting lost) to find the 5 WP. WP5 took ages since I know nothing about birds. Think I ended up with the correct GZ; certainly it matched prior logs, but no cache was found. Will email pleading for help because there were many hours invested for no smiley at the end.

A 'check ride' for the cache owner after gobbing off about how I had it all planned to do. Team Bungarra's idea of all planned means all the waypoints loaded to the GPS and a work sheet printed out. My idea is the cache code written on a scrap of paper.
Under the pump to get it right (and a few minor failures that had me covering my blank sheet of paper in about 3 sets of coordinates and clues. Took a while to get my head around the required conversions but one I did each clue a couple of times I built up a set of co-ords on the paper, entered them into the car nav but not the hand held, tried to find the cache using the new Nuvi... Huge fail and had to trek back to the car to get the work sheet and enter the co-ords into the hand held.
After that it was a reasonably easy find.

Worked out the puzzle today at work (working in the valley helps) and set off after a slow day to knock this off my list. Quick dash from the car to GZ in the rain, pants got soaked in the long grass >< TFTC left BOB
Found by Rosa, Tegan and Ackermats left water pistol and butterfly took soft seal
Out with Teegz and the Ackers family. This is a nice multi cache and although Teegz and I didn't find it the first time we tried it we solved everything today and uncovered the cache. The only thing about going out on a Tuesday is that everybody was closed. It is nice to cross this one off our list. TFTC
Loved this multi and the trip around the area. Geo-hubby enjoyed checking out the locations as he grew up in Herne Hill. Did all the calculations and arrived at gz. Didn't spot it straight away, it is well hidden. Was sure we had the numbers right and on a second scour of the location we came up trumps - yeeha!
Searching with 4 people but not found. Eithe cache gone, too well hidden or wrong place. But nice spot at swan river and nice valley tour. Greetings from Germany.
We have been living in Herne Hill for a few months now after returning nearly a year ago from a trip around Oz. Have been to most of the waypoints before so had an idea on most of them before leaving home.
Made a very quick easy find at GZ late in the afternoon between rain showers. TNLNSL
This is a great area to explore.

We like this...plenty for everyone to eat, drink and be merry!
Very well hidden.

This was a very enjoyable multi to finish off my afternoon's meander in these northern parts - time now to collect geospouse from The Vines and then be skipper for the long drive home, so sadly unable to take advantage of the delicacies at all these WPs.

What? Why WOULDN'T you get out of the car?
I think this was a great multi with something in it for everyone. Interesting to note that WP1 sold treats from WP2 and the kids had almost wheedled me into buying some then I looked at the address on the package and figured out where we were going next.
We had a great time particularly at the smaller wineries and came home a couple dollars poorer but oh so happy.
I left a chain of coins in the cache and the kids did their own trading.

This made for a nice afternoon drive through a selection of Swan Valley wineries, as well as a couple other locations.
Being still fairly new to Perth, this was like our own self guided wine tour. We finished it off with a nice sparkling wine at a vineyard close to the final location that wasn't a waypoint.

This was great. Didn't have to get out of the car. The maths was pretty easy (breat to not have to think too hard), and the locations were very interesting. Thank you very much for the obvious effort to set this up/keep it going.
Had a most enjoyable time driving around and getting the necessary info. We've previously bought some fortified wines from wpt3 and can verify that they are excellent. The cache was an easy find after a fright-free tramp through the long grass. Thanks Team Bungarra.

Taking some muggle friends to see the sites of the Swan Valley and introduce them to caching. A great cache to start with. Found all the clues then keyed in final coords to have us heading off into the hills!! Had to do a recheck of calculations before realising the error, making the correction and heading for the correct spot.
A quick find on arrival after tramping thru the long grass. TNLN SL and then headed for a spot of morning tea!!

We found all the required clues a few weeks ago, but it got too late to get to the final cache. Today we managed to be in the area and so we went to seek it out.
A fun cache which showed us lots of new places that we could visit (if only we had the cash) TFTC. Mog. P.S. grass is still long!

The grass around the cache site is even longer now than when Bandit Bruce logged the cache last September it took a lot of probing before finally locating it.A pleasant way to spend a great May morning travelling between the Waypoints on the geobike (no hills, quiet roads and no wind).

We had a great time with this one but unfortunately it was getting dark when we got the the final waypoint so we had no time to explore the area, pity as it looked interesting. Took Beer Passion TB and mini torch, left boxed pink pony notelets. Thanx for the hunt.
Decided to leave "Beer Passion" TB in the environment to see if it would change his preferences.
As I live close to the area, I have collected the clues on three different occassions using a car, bike and legs, the first trip being over 6 months ago.
Found everything easily except for the name of the bird at the last waypoint. Had a couple of guessed before I got it right.
Was pretty worried about snakes at the cache location.
Left Peppa Pig TB.

This is a historic moment - Tramper Ted's 500th cache. Kind of appropriate really as we just love wine tasting and were visiting Swan Valley for the day for just that purpose. Made silly error which cost a bit of time, but corrected it, found cache, and celebrated with expensive lunch at nearby vineyard. There is an excellent wine made within metres of the cache. Got a bit nervous about whether this was on public ground, but assume it must be. Many thanks for an enjoyable trip around.
found it with Albino Surf when we were meant to be working. All the sweeter!!! Thanks for the hunt.

16:25 No kids this arvo so I went for a little drive after noticing this geocache was up and running. WP's were easy to find and after doing the calculations then walking to GZ, I realised as I stood in the middle of a freshly cut lawn that I wasn't going to find a geocache there. I returned to the car and redid the sums, same answer. Went back to GZ and then walked a bit further and found the container about 25m further on. An Email to Team Bungara to check my workings and it looks like I misread the clue for WP5. Oh well, still pretty darn close.

As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Got a report that the cache was trashed. I will check this out soon and sort out but until then please hold on looking for it. Thanks.
