It looks like this one is gone to that big caching container in the sky. Wattle Park is a pretty difficult place to keep a cache going for long!

02-Jul-05
We visited Wattle Park for the "little creek" cache and checked out this cache. The cache is definitely not in the spot where we last saw it and isn't nearby either. Due to natural decay, the original spot is now more exposed so it looks like this cache has gone. Hopefully someone has planted all the seeds...

18-Jun-05
I had a quick look around here after doing Kiwi Trivia. If the cache was in the obvious hiding spot, then I'd agree that it is gone.

Bob

16-Mar-05
Disabled until I can get there to check on it.

08-Mar-05
this cache is set in an obvious spot the gps took us rite there we searched for half an hour too long we suspect its gone as we found a smashed up lunchbox nearby might want to check its whereabouts and rehide

27-Jan-05
Fairly easily located, and did the swap before heading back to the hotel. Took some dandelion seeds and left some Banrock Station bush tomato ones - at least they are native like the wattles Wink

Nice suburban park for an afternoon stroll. Thanks Quasar.

17-Jan-05
Great park and the birds were making lots of noise. It was getting pretty dark but I (just) managed to find this one at about 8:30pm with no torch! (dur, yes I forgot it)

03-Jan-05
Found by Maya and Ray at 7:08PM on the 3rd of Jan. Maya is still in fine form today, she found it easily. Nice walk through the park, the sounds of the birds settling for the night was lovely. There is no pen in the cache. TNLN. Thanks from The Nomads.

01-Jan-05
What a lovely park. Thanks for bringing me here. Cache was found without complications. No trade.

Found at 1530 on December 4 2004 by 4 Men and a Lady

We didn't read our instructions at all well and had no seeds on us therefore

TNLN

but well worth the fabulous walk

Many Thanks to Qasar

Found with Fenna and Trez. Presented no trouble whatsoever. Nice place!

Wombat Steve hasn't been here since he was a kid. Nice park. Dogs liked it.

This was our first cache for toady on our way to the city to see the Ford vs Holden show. This was a quick and easy find and S came up with his first find, my mum is a plant person but hmm I was thinking to myslef, no swapping for seeds, we got to many plants already, they are in pots, and everywhere, soon there wont be any grass in our front yard. This is a nice park in such a nice neighbourhood. Thanks from M.B and S.M TNLN

Out for a drive we had the GPS with us (as usual) & decided to do some caching today. We didn't have any cache sheets with us & so couldn't do any Multi's that might be around. We saw this was the nearest traditional cache, & so off we went. Mother hen recognised the name/park & said it's great & it's big! It was a pleasant break amidst suburbia. Shortly after entering the park we walked under many nesting Rainbow lorrikeetsCool. Several lizards were met as we approacghed the cache, which location could be seen from many metres away. On arriving, it only took about 2 minutes & the cache was in hand[^].

We must apologize, as we did not know this was a themed cache-unfortunately we had not read the cache page, as this was an on-the-road decision to start caching today. We would have TNLN, to keep the theme, however as there were other swap items in the cache, we allowed the chicks to swap with those items.
Took Small cow, Left New roll sticky tape.
We like the idea of a themed cache! As such we will endeavour to revisit this cache at some future time, and place more pkts seeds into it! Thanks Quasar

13-Nov-04
Cleaned, dried and restocked this cache with a few seed packets today. Please try to maintain the theme. There are still a few non-seed related items in there. If you take one of these, please swap in a packet of seeds.

Wow, it looks like I was following Quasar around today. This was another "on spec" attempt on the way home and Geko led me straight there (good GPS). I logged the find at 17:40 but as I didn't have the cache sheet with me, I wasn't aware of the theme.

TNLNSL. A nice little park in the middle of suburbia and not far from the alma mater (well, by name anyway, not by location). Thanks Quasar.

29-Oct-04
Found it at about 11:50 Petty the theme was broken. Took nothing left nothing. I work in a nursery so might take some seeds tomorrow. After work. Thanks for the cache. Nice place.

27-Oct-04
I found this cache bare this evening and, although Quasar has asked for a seed exchange, I left some of the usual cache item instead.

Took nothing (as there was nothing to take) left Orange para trooper, cow, frog ties and 102 Dalmation stickers.

Wahroongaa and team found this cache while the rest of Melbourne was watching the Grand Final. The cache is still empty apart from the log book/pen (dry) and geocaching sheet (very damp). TNLN, but had a lot of fun finding it. Thanks.

25-Sep-04
Found by sbalogh53 at 11:00 on 25/9/2004.
Looks like I just missed seeing wahroongaa at the cache today. Smile
The cache was quite wet inside so I cleaned and dried the box and plastic bag containing the log book. The cache sheet is beyond redemption but I squeezed the water out and left it in the box... no harm apparent by doing this. If I had a copy I would have left it. I have now added a few zipper plastic bags to my caching kit in case of future emergencies.

TNLN.

28-Aug-04
Found this cache on the way back to the car from Kiwi-Trivia. Was swooped by a Rosella on the way to grab the cache (do you KNOW how sharp those beaks are?!) and I let out a scream.
Found cache at 3.50pm, as mentioned in previous logs - the poor thing has been muggled and all that remains is the log book and a soaked disclaimer sheet. Log book was dry.
It's a shame we weren't more prepared for this cache, as we have many seed packets at home.
TNLN
Thanks for the cache Quasar

12-Aug-04
Returning from a meeting at Southgate today, I just couldn't resist stopping by to check this park and doing a couple of caches. I ended up finding this cache as a diversion while doing Kiwi Trivia, as there was a council worker doing some whipper-snipping in the GZ area of KT. Anyway at 12.30pm I found the cache, however there was nothing in it except for the log book, pen and the geocaching sheet Surprised. Looks to me as though it has been muggled?
CTA (Couldn't Take Anything)/LN.
Thanks Quasar

Arrr... Mr Coffee beat me to the TB. I'll have to keep my eye out for that one, wanted to show "she how must be obeyed"

I didn't have any seeds so all I did was replace the torn plastic bag.

Out: Torn Cache bag
In: New plastic cache bag Smile

Mr.Coffee and family found this cache our 3rd for the day and our 102nd.
Thanks again Quasar for another nice walk
found cache easily after waiting for Muggles to walk away.
Must buy a jacket that says Parks Victoria so we dont look suspicious
Taken Fred & Mary travel bug to move closer to destination
TNLN in cache swaps
Regards Mr.Coffee Ian.

15-Jul-04
On the way around No Bunny Rabbit Hare (GCHCVP) I came across this cache.
What a bargain, two for the walk of one.
Unfortunately I had not planned for the contents that were required, so I toko nothing and left nothing and only signed the log.
Thanks for an interesting cache with cool contents, it's just a pity I wasn't more prepared.

Hi,
I dod not have a chanche to bring any seeds from denmark, but I have entered a TB that I pricked up in DK. The TB is to celebrate the Royal wedding between the Royal Danish Crown Prins Frederik and the Australian girl now the Royal Corwn Princess of Denmark Mary.
Hope it is allright
Nice place and good theme.
Thanks Kim_Ras (Denmark)

Found on 26/06/04 at 1520 AEST. 2nd cache today with Facitman & Family this was a short stroll from Kiwi Trivia and a quick find. The cache mysteriously contained quite a bit of water [:o] but the seeds were still ok. Dried everything off and put ziplocks into another bag inside the container.

TNLN

Found 26/6/04 at 15:20.
Nice stroll from Kiwi Trivia with the smallest Facit-ette in charge of navigation. No problems find GZ but a wet cache was found.

19-Jun-04
No 3 for the day. Found while dodging rain storms. Didn't read the info before I left so didn't have the right swaps. Cache was a little bit damp and the info sheet is a bit damp and could use a replacement.

Lovely spot. Wished I had some bird seed for the birdies today. I found the cache easily and left a pack of assorted seeds. TN. Thanks Quasar. Clear skies, John.

22-May-04
Found this one after a bit of a walk. Should have parked the GeoBeamer closer. I will sleep well tonight.[|)] Lots of lovely smells with the BBQs in full swing.
Nice little spot after we managed to 'shake off' a 'muggle' with a 'dish licker' in tow. We talked out loud about finding rare blight on gum leaves.Wink

IN: Dill seeds and Yates seed guide
OUT: Dwarf beans

02-May-04
Not too hard to find. It’s a lovely place to visit, good for a BBQ and the little restaurant looked verrrrry nice! Didn’t have any seeds, so no exchange. We kept meeting up with a group of walkers that looked suspiciously like the University of the Third Age. Amazing how fast the over-55s can walk when they have a mind to Big Grin.

25-Apr-04
Found at 02:35 Hours by myself and Em_Eagle. Full of water.
TNLN

Thanks

25-Apr-04
Found at 0235hrs.
Evil_Hitman and myself enjoying the quiet park at night.
Unfortunately the container was wet inside, but the log book and seeds are dry.
Didnt realise to bring seeds, so will visit again.
TNLN

Thanks

11-Apr-04
The park was pretty busy at 10:50 AM.
We went straight to the cache from the car park.
Took the snapdragons
Left some McCormicks salad sprinkles (seeds you do not have to wait to grow before enjoying.)
This is lots of fun, going off to find "Kiwi Trivia" now
Tks Quasar...

09-Apr-04
Although we knew we had no swaps (no shops open on Good Friday} we decided to look for this one anyway.
Came directly from Kiwi Trivia and were able to walk straight to it although no 1 took us on a long stroll through the park. TNLN
Thanks Quasar

23-Mar-04
We had all our seeds confiscated at the border.

22-Feb-04
Found at 12:30pm. H,K & A had walked through from "No Bunny Rabbit Hare" with the GPS, while the rest of us had moved the car a bit closer. "H" was impressed as she finally got her first find. (the rest of the family already have a few each under their belt) They then unfortunately stayed by the cache location which is not really spottable from anywhere else in the park. After three quarters of an hour, one and a half laps of the park and three phone calls, we finally located them.

Off now to do the nearby "Kiwi Trivia" and we're not splitting up this time.

Took Apple Cucumber & left Snapdragons.

Thanks Quasar from D,H,S,K,H & A B-A

18-Feb-04
A nice park for geocaching in. Found after a very short search....

The truth is that I also went looking for this on Feb 13 as well but for some reason didn't see the cache even while searching the logical location thoroughly. I could swear it wasn't there the other day, where as today it stood out like a sore thumb. My mate who I went caching with 5 days ago will be disapointed.

Forgot all about the seeds, so no swap was made.

30-Jan-04
Last one of the day. Easy find in a great location. No-one around so we didn't look to strange walking around in circles. Took - Billy beans. Left - Dwarf beans

26-Jan-04
Found this on the way to Kiwi Trivia - a nice park to be wandering around in. We only just missed Juzmac, and think we spotted them wandering around the park as well. Left some Aster seeds, and some Roma Tomatoes that were past their use by date by 6 months (hopefully someone can take them to a good home soon).

26-Jan-04
Found this one before finishing off kiwi trivia. Once finding it we realised we'd left out seeds back in the car so took nothing and left nothing. thanks quasar.

25-Jan-04
Found this after a very short search while doing Kiwi Trivia.

I saw a pen lying on the ground and found the cache immediately afterwards. There wasn't a pen in the cache, so I added/replaced it.

Found that I had left all of my swaps (including the seeds for this one) in the car, so took nothing and left nothing.

Thanks Quasar!

21-Jan-04
A very early cache at about 2am! Found without too much hassle, but there were no plant shops open, so I couldn't swap any so TNLN.

19-Dec-03
Found at 12:50pm, after a walk through the park, involving lots of cicadas, a couple of kookaburras and many small lizards. In fact it was one of the lizards that led me to the cache Smile
This was my second attempt at finding a cache with a travelbug (I missed the first one by a couple of hours). I left Tasmanian Blue Gum seeds, and picked up Wiskers da Wabbitt for some more travelling.
Thanks Quasar!

19-Dec-03
Found it at 15:20.
A nice easy stroll through another great local community park. Was at GZ in no time and straight to the cache.
Actually tried this one today to collect the TB but ectizen beat me by just a couple of hours. Sad

Took : Tasmanian Blue Gum Seeds
Left : Cucumber seeds

Thanks Quasar...

16-Dec-03
This entry should add Wiskers correctly

16-Dec-03
The seeds I collected for this cache are in my socks (still). I didn't transfer them!

I did leave "Wiskers da Wabbit" a travel bug visiting from America. Wiskers would like to meet friends in Australia and travel widely. He is rather squashed in this cache so help him on his way as soon as possible.

14-Dec-03
This is my 30th cache. The cache gave itself up after a short search--it was just a matter of finding which hole it was in, once I got to the coordinates.

The cache was in good condition, and the seeds mentioned by Steph'n'Ash were still there.

I took nothing, but left Carrots and Parsnips. This was my second cache in this park; as some others have said in the log book: two for the price of one! [^]

18-Nov-03
My first find without any help.
The GPS took us straight to the spot and we found it in about a minute! Great hiding spot Quasar,
Dad told us it needed more seed packets so we left Rockmellon, Tomatoes, Snapdragons, Impatiens and another one that I can't remember, and took the Baby carrots.
Thanks Quasar

This cache was recently raided by a rather uncharitable individual. I have partially re-stocked the cache today, so there are some seed packets in there, but not as many as previously.

13-Nov-03
Found 13 Nov 03 1:30 pm
Finally located after loading the correct co-ordinates into the GPS! The figures I had were only correct enough to have me in the right park!!! Dont know how that happened but I was 250 metres out! Lovely day for a lunch time walk in the sun
Thanks for the extra clues Quasar but even a photograph of the hiding spot would not have helped me I was so far outRed Face
Took nothing as I had nothing to leave.

27-Oct-03
Our first group Cache. GPS took us straight to the location and 30 seconds later, bingo.
We didn't make a swap as we didn't have any seeds.
Thanks Quasar

22-Oct-03
My first cache!!!
Located the cache after 10mins, i like the natural location.
Took me back to my younger days when I played golf around here.
A beautiful afternoon....people everywhere. Do others feel like everyone is watching them when they are on a cache hunt?
Thanks Quasar

05-Oct-03
Found 3.00pm after a nice leisurely walk took mungbeans and lemon balm, left oregano and parsley. Thanks

19-Jul-03
Found at 9.35am.
A lovely park and a nice stroll.
2 caches for the price of 1 here.
An easy find with few people around.
Took water saver and left poppy seeds.
Thanks Quasar

This was a combined search of two caches. Started on the "Kiwi Trivia" multi and followed all the clues to derive the final target. Then checked the co-ordinates against Wattle Seed Pod and found that it was closer so went there first. With no additional hints this was a hard one. To make it harder, the eTrex seemed to be producing random shifts of about 20 metres so the search area kept moving. Stuck with the obvious target and with teamwork (thanks Liz) finally found the cache at 17:50. All the passers-by had gone by then. This is a sneaky hiding place!! Cool Congratulations Quasar.

Took Poppy seeds and left Baby Carrot seeds (probably came from here in the first place).

29-Jun-03
Found 3:20pm
Easy find. Rain kept curious people away from this spot.
Left nothing.

31-May-03
Found quickly after logging the nearby Kiwi Trivia cache ... thought I had spotted another cacher in the vicinity, but it was just someone walking their dogs. Didn't have any themed swaps with me, so just made a note in the logbook. Fingers crossed everyone gets some rain soon - it's been lovely caching weather for my visit, but not good for gardens and farms! Thanks Quasar.

26-Apr-03
Nice easy find, +1 walked straight up to it and casually said found it, didn't swap anything, we had a nice picnic amoung all the other picnickers.
Thanks Quasar.

21-Apr-03
Another great little cache. Found very easily. We took flower seeds and left brussel sprouts Smile

Thanks quasar

18-Apr-03
Took a detour to find this cache while attempting another of kiwideb's new ones. Found a likely hiding spot easily enough, but the cache wouldn't reveal itself. Poked a stick in all the spots that looked suspicious, but no luck. Eventually maccamob grew tired of waiting for me, and pointed me to the right end. I'd checked the spot several times, but didn't look far enough Red Face!

After checking for spiders, I removed the container and swapped a backet of beans for some mixed flower seeds.

Thanks Quasar!

18-Apr-03
Would nor recommend trying this cache on a beautiful, warm, sunny autumn public holiday as it gets VERY busy around here Wink. Not only was there a constant stream of people passing by, but a young couple was spending the afternoon only meters from GZ.
With much stealth and cunning Cool, the cache was found by our Tadpole, and a packet of Petunias was exchanged for an aroma packet.
Thanx Quasar

Team Frogger

12-Apr-03
I entered from the bottom of the park as I wanted a downhill walk on the way back. I was here last week but didn't realise there was this cache here. Stupid!!! Swapped Lavender seeds for flower seeds. Thanks for the cache.

15-Mar-03
Kate and Peter found this cache after watching Eastern Rosellas and Rainbow Lorikeets noisily coming home to roost. We think this cache is a great idea, but unfortunately we didn’t have any seeds to swap.

Thanks Quasar

21-Feb-03
Found in a quick lunchtime hunt in the rain. Easy find in a common geocache location. No exchange made.

10-Feb-03
Found by Alan at 7:40pm, on a cool day after work. By the sounds of things it must have been bed time for the bird life there, or were they just excited to see me there? I spotted a couple of those red and blue birds (rosella?).
After a jogger had passed by I exchanged the capsicum seeds for the alyssum white snow (ground cover).

Visited the cache again on 10-Mar-2003 with some friends to give them a go.

Found by Mary & David at 1600, our second Quasar in succession, and #6 for the day. Not long since we were here. Plenty of birdlife, and still those occasional tantalising rain drops. Found quickly enough, then took bean sprout seeds and left nasturtium seeds. Love your themed caches, thanks, Quasar. Hope to see more soon.

27-Jan-03
Caches in this park never seem to last long so we thought we'd better get in early. The cache is quite well hidden so accidental discovery shouldn't be a problem and maybe this one will last a while. We didn't have any seeds with us so no exchange was made. Greg and Bev

27-Jan-03
Found at 1pm by Russell, Glenda & Cameron. A pleasant place for a walk in the park. Had no seeds so exchanged nothing, but left TB Little George to contiue his travels. Thanks Quasar.

27-Jan-03
Found this one easily on a great day for caching.
Found at 3:10pm Took tb George who was suffering a bit of hayfever.
Didnt have any seeds to exchange so I left a water saver for those that will need to water their seeds.
Thanks for the cache Quasar

22-Jan-03
Found this one nice and early this morning, not trying to beat everyone else to it, but simply trying to fit it in to a busy day. Until I did the Crackerjack 2002 cache, I didn't know that there was a pocket of bushland here. Now I've found two caches here in two months. (I can't wait for next month's).

The only packets of seeds at home had already been opened, and with no shops open to procure another packet, I was unable to make an exchange. Never-the-less, I enjoyed another walk in the area.

Thanks Quasar for an enjoyable cache.

22-Jan-03
Phound this one at aprox. 8 oclock this morning on my way to work. I thougt Id be the phirst as i only phound the cache on the net this morningg Unfortunatly muzza beat me by about halv an hour. I dont' have any seeds at my house and couldnt' by any at this time I wouldnt' have time any way even if the shops were open. So i wasnt' abel to make a swap. Thanks for the cache.

22-Jan-03
Found at 7.50 pm. We were happy to revisit this area as it seems to have great possibilities for caching. We found the cache after a short search. Took beetroot seeds, left brown mustard seeds (the spice variety rather than the garden variety). Thanks Quasar.
