Well we've just arrived home, after a fantastic weekend, we just can't believe how lucky we were with the Weather.
Thanks to everyone who made it to the event, both cachers and potential future cachers alike, and helped to make this event such a success. Special thanks must go to Pyrenees Kid, Mikita, Maccamob, and GeoJo who arrived early, on Friday night, and managed to snag the best campsite in the area, and had a roaring campfire, and cold beer, ready when Biggles Bear arrived. It was also good to meet new arrivals to the Victorian caching communi tee in Mister Blobby and Two Plus Four (minus Two). Thanks also to those who organised the special ‘Birthday Cache’ for Biggles Bear.
Once again a heartfelt thanks to everyone for making this one of Biggles Bear’s best ever Birthday celebrations.

What a fabulous weekend. From small beginnings on Friday evening, the 'event' ballooned into an all-singing-and-dancing affair. Great to catch up with Biggles Bear, Pyrenees Kid, Mikita and Boodi again. Also to meet the Biggles Bear clan and numerous friends, and caching teams Two + Four and Mr Blobby. The various mass cache hunts to Taipan View, Big Helmet, Geocache, and especially A Difficult Mountain to Climb, were truly memorable occasions, topped off by the celebrations on saturday night. Thanks to Biggles bear for the invitations, and to the others for making the weekend such a success. Thanks again to Pyrenees Kid for the 4WD support, and our best wishes for a swift recovery after your unfortunate accident while packing up on the last day.
An excellent weekend that cant be faulted. My thanks to Biggles Bear for organising the event. Great company, great food and drinks, great caches, what more could you ask for.
Thanks to those who administered 1st aid to my injury. It looks like it could be a lengthly healing process as i have lost the use of 1 finger, and the feeling in 2 and my thumb. It has only been stitched at Horsham but tomorrow I will be seeing a specialist. (for those who dont know,
i stabbed myself in the web of my hand whilst cutting a cable tie).
I am thinking of drowning my sorrows in apple pie tonight........
Thanks again to all and it was great to meet some new faces......... Pyrenees Kid.

Finally home after a successful long weekend of caching (total of 11 for me!)
As much as I love going caching, group assaults on caches are so much more fun! Thanks to all teams for the fun and shared stories - welcome to Two+Four and Mr Blobby.
Hope to see most of you at the next event in a couple of weeks.

What a great weekend. Many happy returns to the birthday Biggles Bear. It was a great night under the stars with a multitude of cachers and non-cachers. A pity we had to go home early.
Again many thanks to team biggles bear.

Maccamob and I have the day off on Friday, so we'll probably head up early and get a couple of caches on the way...
Who knows, maybe we'll plant one or two in the area in case we run out of things to find?!

I think Ch 15 is ideal cause some older style hand helds have minimal channels and they usual fall in the first 20 or so. I vote we use channel 15, we can change once we all meet up if we need to.
I'll have a couple. We're curently using Ch 15, as the 2 Dogs from NSW were trying to get cachers to standardise on that so you would know if there were other cachers in your area. Happy to use another though, if people have strong preferences.
We'll be leaving Melbourne after work Friday, and expect a couple of Biggles Bears non caching friends to do like wise. See you there.
P.S. I'll try uploading some more Ozi data.

I am leaving after work on the Friday. I expect to arrive between 5 and 6.
I cant made the route work on Ozi! Is anybody else having this trouble?

When are people planning to arrive? Friday evening? Saturday morning? David can fit in with either option. Unfortunately Mary is working that weekend.
Had a complete and utter, dismal failure with my day in the Grampians! The continuous rain meant I only attempted one cache, and couldn't even find it! I'll be there for sure...
Two + Four (-2) will be there and we look forward to our first geo gathering. Also a great opertunity to dust off the tent.
Team Boodi will be there. We have a couple of very nasty caches in mind!
Should we bring Champagne or has Biggles Bear entered the age of single malt scotch (or, god forbid, sherry)??
