I’ve waited over 6 weeks with no response. I think that its owner is not maintaining this cache anymore. Can someone who knows where it is please check on it and post a note, otherwise, I think it should be archived.
What is happening with this cache? Is it still there or is it moving somewhere very slowly?
Was in the area and checked on this cache. It's still there, but the contents were a bit depleted. Left an insect slime ball (not as bad as it sounds) to improve matters.
Despite the missing wheel, I was able to work out where to go next. Luckily I didn't walk. Its a warm day and a long way to go to get the treasure. Found the cache pretty easy. It had a bit of water in it which I drained. Everything inside was safe in there plastic bags. No swap made. Thanks for a great afternoon.
Found by Mary & David at 1230. We had left home early this morning to go to 'Beach Cam', so we stopped along the way to pick up the Landmark clues. Made our way to each one without difficulty until we came to the Ship Wreck where, as blocko reported, the wheel is missing. Not to worry, though, as the correct answer wasn't hard to deduce. On to the Key location, where we quickly found it right where it was supposed to be. We then went on to 'Beach Cam' as planned, and to 'Another Camera By The Sea' on the way back. Last stop of course was Blackbeard's Treasure Cache itself. Again, a quick find, but like JustCruisin, pulled on the wrong bits at first trying to get the lid off. Contents are a bit sparse - we took a little bat figure, and left a multi-function box. Really loved all the clues, and didn't need the hints. While completing the log, we noticed that another cacher found it in June, but they have yet to log their find here. Thanks to Nomads for pointing out that this cache is very much alive - we had been bypassing it because of the relocation notice. Thanks also to Blackbeard The Pirate for this fascinating and enjoyable trip along the upper part of the bayside. We happily recommend that this cache should stay put - all it really needs is some restocking.
Wheel missing from ship a problem but not too hard to guess...
Then no fence post found at Key location - ?gone. Had to give up.
Didn't realise the locn was in the clue until got home (Shepparton). SH#t//,. Nice walk...

Found tonight in fading light. The mozzies were merciless. Exchanged tape measure for batteries.
Cache found at 2:04pm by Keith and Robyn on a windy Sunday.
Doesn't matter whether you are coming or going, a strong wind from the bay gets you both ways!
Mosaic clue needs care!
Left batteries (AA), took pocket knife/bottle opener. Must be for getting into PC's as it was badged HP !!
Really enjoyable ride, hardest bit was getting the lid off the bucket (I was pulling on the fixed bit of the bucket, not the lid
Thanks.

Cache finally found by Tony, John and Consuela at 9:00pm on a beautiful Saturday night. Spent a couple of hours working through the clues but got stuck trying to find the ship wreck. Must have mucked up counting the mosaic. We cheated from here as it was getting dark and headed straight for the cache. It's almost empty so the next few finders hopefully will leave more than they take. We left a pocket knife and a bottle opener and took a Snoopy doll. Excellent cache. Heaps of effort has gone into this one.
Took to the bayside trail today with a couple of friends and looked for this cache. The weather turned really nasty, the wind was terrible and we kept getting rained on, so I have to admit that after solving the first 2 landmarks, we took the easy option and decrypted the clue to go straight to the cache. Found by Andrew, Matt & Glenn. Took a keyring compass and left an unwanted christmas present
Found by Muzza (my second). This is my local area and my common walking paths (except for the last site) so when one of the calculated co-ordinates gave my next location in the middle of the bay, I knew where to go next anyway, recalculated what the co-ords should have been, and discovered the correct answer to one of the clues. (Is this cheating or just using local knowledge). Swapped a compass keyring for a blank CD. Thanks for any enjoyable afternoon.
The Day started out to be sunny but very quickly we watch the weather come in from the west. Boy the wind can certainly get very strong down on the beach front. Fantastic day had by the whole family. We had no troubles with any of the locations and found the treasure without any problems at all. The bucket was a little wet so we removed the contents and drained the water out and dried it as best we could. All the contents were fine being sealed in there bags. The kids cleaned the bucket out with swaps all around. Excellent effort in putting this one togetherwell Done. Thanks for the great day. The Brierley Family
Found by Ray and Maya (nomads) at 4:45 PM on a fine and sunny Sunday afternoon. We started at 1:00PM and enjoyed the stroll down the bayside. We completed the round walk to the first 4 landmarks in two and a half hours, then drove to the fifth for the key. We had a little trouble finding the key but a re-start of the GPS had the desired effect. The Treasure was located after a short walk around the area, more by reference to the clues than GPS positioning. We swapped a pack of Spa Bath lotions for a blank CD. The cache was in good order. Thanks for a great hunt. You obviously put in a lot of work setting up this cache, and we thank you for your efforts. Ray and Maya.
We went back today and found the key. I can't understand how we missed it the first time! From that point we had no trouble finding the treasure and exchanged a bicycle horn for the bank cd. We were surprised to discover we weren't the first to find it. Someone else had come earlier in the day. A lot of time and effort has obviously been put into setting up this cache and we thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. Thanks again. Greg and Bev
Nice sunny day for a stroll ... but that wind!
Found the key (which is quite a bit bigger than a key, actually)and can confirm that there is an X marking the spot. Be discrete because the location is fairly exposed.
Then on to the treasure location, but which tree? Finally found it, this time in a much less populated area.
Swapped the torch for a (new) CDR.
All in all, a good challenge!

Lovely day for a walk so we thought we'd try to find the treasure. All was going well until we got to where the key was meant to be. No sign of a painted cross only large expensive houses. We tried swapping some of the digits but this didn't help. Are the clues correct? It was a very pleasant walk along a path we had not visited before and we loved solving the clues. Even though we didn't find it it was a good day. Thanks
Greg and Bev
