I managed to park pretty close, but wasn't looking at the cache from the right side. I finally found it by reaching and touching. I got a strange look from one lady whilst I was hunting for it. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [417]

I found this one without the gps.One of the photos was a dead give away so I knew where I was going.Just as I was about to find the cache three boys turned up.I managed to get the cache out without them seeing. But they wouldn't leave.I waited for a long while so I decided to go for a drive & return it on the way back. But when I returned there were lots of people there. The boating club must of been having a meeting tonight. So I ended up bringing it home & will return it tomorrow.Mini table tennis set in,keyring pen out.Cheers.

Got there, spent a lot of time strugling around under the place. Got a large collection of spiderwebs.
The local muggles were looking at me with suspicion when ever they came into view.
Finally found it. Kicked myself over how easy it was from the right place.
In Gel pen
Out Nil
Thanks willbuild

This was our first cache find as we only heard about Geocaching two weeks ago. Enjoyed the hunt.
The cache site was just the right height for our three year old grandaugther
where as I was on my knees. We were also thrilled to find an official travel bug
from British Columbia, Canada in the cache.
Nice cache placement, thanks Willbuild.
from Mash, Lash & grandaughter.
- Hand it to Bandit & small teddy bear

We found this cache with grandson Daniel and grand-daughter Emily. A good cache for children to search for and nicely hidden. We left 'Hand it to Bandit' travel bug which we brought up from a cache in Nelson,South Island.
Daniel took the New York Fireman.
Thanks

It was good to have a "park'n'cache" after having had some longish walks to the previous three...
Nice spot, thanks!

My 7 yo daughter decided to stay in the car while I searched but when she could see I wasn't having any luck she joined in and had it within seconds. The seat at the top of this elaborate structure was perfectly suited to filling in the log then contemplating where to go next on this beautiful spring day. TNLN

Had a nice view of the old scow "Vesper" undergoing repairs at the wharf.

Found it without too much trouble. Only cache today that we didn't need to wear our Gummies. 4th of 6 today.

During a day at the beach with a friend taking photos (see attached), I explained the concepts of Geocaching. As an illustration, I pointed out this cache (conveniently on the way back, and I knew where it was from a previous visit).

I was lucky enough to find a travelbug inside, which is going somewhere else.

Sorry for the delay in logging this, and moving the bug; I forgot all about it.

Out: Travel bug
In: I don't recall Sad I did drop something in honest.

Have driven past this place for 11 years and never knew it existed. Nice little spot.
New gps spot on. I guess having 7 sat locks helps a wee bit, although it still took me a few minutes to find.
Off now for a second attempt at "Steps, Steps and More Steps."
In. 20c and bag of cable ties.
Out. Coloring pencils.
Thanx Willbuild.

CoolHave been meaning to grab this for the last 5 mths, I drive past it on the way to work.

It's a nice spot, wouldn't like to have to launch from there to go fishing. Big Grin

Pam had to think like a Cacher as we hadn't read the Cache page.

Final stop before continuing to the Wilds of the Far North. Cache revealed itself before too long. The counterweight is a nice refinement that shows some thought into the potential longevity of the cache Smile

Paddled here from 'Motukaraka View' into strong SW wind. Needed our lunch after that! Lindsay was keen for more caches after his first on the island. Probably just missed HLD!

Took me ages. Eventually spotted it more or less where I had expected it to be.

The paintball was beginning to dissolve, and when I had a look at it, sprung a leak. Threw it out. Took the slimline CD case, left some Lord of the Rings trading cards.

Thanks for the cache, Willbuild.

Hardest one so far. Arrived too late, just at dusk. It was pretty dark when I decrypted the clue. I understood the clue (I think - it sounds like it points very clearly), but couldn't find the cache.

Probably going back next weekend, give it another go in the light.

29-Apr-03
Found it with a bit of logical thinking,
but was I pestered council worker, who turned out to be on the council board..told me why they built the structure there.
Then a local who was bored...obviously needs to get into geocaching [:0)]

In: small paint ball

Getting to this cache was a problem, as some ? local came down in a car and must have thought I had evil intentions. He just sat watching us while I pretended to take photos and then he started to drive off but stopped again and kept his beady eye on me for 10 minutes more.
Eventually he drove off and the search was got underway only to be held up twice more as visitors came and went. I sent the young grandaughters around and about with no luck and then finally I found it. Got interupted again when opening that wrist breaking container.

Took the padlock left an ultrathin CD case.

I agree that the co-ordinates are out by 25 meters or so.

If you build houses as solidly as you built this container they must be solid indeed Willbuild.

Found it without too much trouble. As others have found, the coordinates are out. I ditched the GPS and used the clue and hints in the main text. They practically tell you where to look.

What did Willbuild put in the bottom of the container to make it so heavy?

[|)] We looked up, we looked down, we looked over and we looked under. We found lots of cool stuff, but no cache Sad

We looked under everything.. we even checked under the car!! (shouldn't have parked it on the stones) Still... no cache Sad

So we've done the honourable thing and come back to look at the photo Smile Still none the wiser, we looked under all that Sad We looked up from under all that Sad

My poor lil wifey... first time the cache has beaten her [B)]

Cache was found approx 30m away from the waypoint given. Took nothing, left nothing.

When I got to this cache I saw this guy walking around the back of the clubhouse holding a piece of paper and a flash of a GPS.. Lo and Behold it was M@, who had just turned up at the same time as me!

We spent at least an hour in the sun searching for the cache and talking to M@. Pretty interesting however neither of us could find the cache.. We looked high and low, in the tractor shed and all around the lookout (?), all around the back of the clubhouse too.

Sadly we couldn't find it, given the amount we searched I suspect it might have been plundered?
