Its been almost 2 years of DNFs, time the owner had a look to see if its still around.
We were in the area (dropped off one of "The Crew" at a Scout Camp), so I arranged to do some caching on the way home. Looked into this one to see what all the feedback was about.
At GZ, under the newly growing vine, is a whole heap of small dry vegetation (that you would normally find at the high point of a high tide or flood line.
The GZ, by the way is approx 9-12m above the river level of today (normal, I'd say).
This cache should be replaced or retired.
Great location for a picnic though!

The flood damage mentioned above is still present after all this time, with no sign of the cache. Looks to have been washed away.

Was not lucky this time.
Searched the area for an hour and was unable to find it.
The entire site has had a lot of flood damage and i am not sure if this has moved the cache.
My guess is that the cache has been washed away but from the log it was found only 2 days ago [?].

A bit of a drive from Maitland but worth the trip, lots of goodies in this cache.
cheers

Searched high and low but no luck. Lots of new growth all around GZ didn't help our efforts.
Had a quick look around but my natural aversion to barbed wire and lantana got the better of me.
What a grand location for the first meeting of the Paterson Church Appreciation Society . This was our last cache for the evening in the company of the Shifter Brains and Pesky!. Like Pesky! we weren't first to the cache either but we still enjoyed the location. There were signs of rain while we were here, just the cold spots of moisture on skin. Took western folk a while to work out what it was though.
Found after the Hunter Cache Hunters Event in the great company of Pesky and President and First Lady.

Quite well hidden, managed to avoid the eyes of swimming muggles, left fishing float, took squirrel.

We are over from the UK visiting friends in Sydney and were disappointed that we failed on our first Australian cache-hunt. We were sure we were in the right place. Had more luck with Tucker Park close by.
Locals enjoying a cool off in the water. Coords were spot on. TNLN. Thanks The 2 Dogs.
At last, I can claim a find on this one, after three aboritve atempts to locate it i have need the help of another cacher to find it thanks team yota.

I hadn’t seen a mate at Dun’s Creek for a while so thought it was a good chance to plan a small trip north and grab a few caches on the way. This was stop 6 for the day. Took a while to find this one, but find it I did.
Thanks for the cache. 38C had beaten the rest so they just hung in the shade as I searched.

Checked cache and it is still there.
the bush it was under has slowly died and the cache become more hidden than first intended. Some disturbed and broken stickes on top of cache should be easier to find for those that khow what there looking for.
On return visit im not as happy with were I moved it to but muggles swimming in the river prevented me from finding a better spot, will try to return when fewer muggles about.

Went for another look for this one during the week. had no muggle interference this time so had a realy good look but still could not find:(.
Team Yota can you please confirm that the cache is still where you placed it .
I suspect that it may have been lost.

So just which coordinates are we suppose to use? Could not find it either on the western side (after reading the logs), though the area did stink of dog-shit for some reason
Nice heritage nearby which scared me when searching using the original coordinates (nothing like that feeling of noise and metal overhead [xx(]).

went looking for this one after tucker park, probably should have checked the cords, didn't realise that the location had changed. good exercise in muggle avoidance tecniques though.
will have to try again latter.

Found second time around. Moved cache to other side of the park as there were no real good spots closer to the new fence. A bit more family friendly again.

If someone gets to this cache before I do could you please moove the cache westwards and let us know the new co ords. Please try to hide it like it was. Thanks in anticipation.
Last time I was here (this time last year) the area around the cache had an erosion problem and had a 3 foot high temporary fence around it, I am glad to say both the fence and erosion are gone. Unfortunately it’s all been replaced by a 5 foot high permanent fence and a large gravel causeway. I found a way over the fence into what is clearly now a restricted area confident that no council workers would come by and if they did I would tell them I was a geography teacher (which I am) and that I was taking photos (which I was) and that I had made up a student worksheet on the erosion in this spot a year ago (which I did) and that I wanted to show this years students how the problem was fixed (which I will). I took a few photos (will post in a few days) and found the cache. I suggest the cache be moved 10 meters west or the terrain be lifted a star or two to allow for the fence climb and the difficulty get a star for the need of an excuse. Ether way thanks for the cache and a nice diversion on a sunny day.

[:d] Gotcha!!!
This is the 2nd time I've tried to find this cache.
The plants have grown a lot over 1 year.
The first time was with SteelRat and I was just along for the ride.
Now I'm known as stormin'norman I found it for my self.
took alittle badge and left a glow stick. Great cache thanks 2 Dogs.

Thanks for the hunt, it took longer than it should because I was obsessing on the wrong side of the bridge. Nicley hidden great little town, great ride on the bike.
Yippee 3 from 3. Tho I have to admit we did get a tip about this one from Steel Rat which helped sort of....
Found it after a couple of dead ends and it was pretty ingenious - no dammit it was bloody clever.
We took $ 4.00 and the cool geocaching sticker and left girls hair clips, superglue and a video ezy free rental card expiring dec 2004. Thanks for a great spot and great hunt.

Very small cach indeed. Left the sinkers (in case anyone feels like fishing while they're here) and took the carabiner. Lots of foreigners around, so had to be careful.
Got a couple of nice art shots of the bridge. Thanks guys.

Bronze and I did this one on the way home from the Newcastle Event Cache
Great little spot to hide a cache. There were a lot of muggles near the cache so we pretended to be discussing the erosion. This worked coz they never gave us a second glance.
Took the glow in the dark thingy and left a compass clip thingy
Thanx Snifter

Basically walked straight up to it after feigning an interest in the gully. After the muggles got over the curosity of us crossing the no-go zone we were free to extract the cache. Took the Steel Rat Sticker and replaced it with a Qld. "Alby & Wendy Geocaching" Sticker.
We will be holding the Steel Rat to Ransom - If the Rat dosen't come out and do a Dubbo cache in the next year then we will not let it free and stick it to a volvo parked outside a CWA hall. *Gauntlet bounces on ground*
He he - Thanks to Two Dogs for a nice stop whilst heading back to Red Ochre Country.

What an evil, evil place to put the cache. Luckily it only took one visit to the area to find the cache but it took a while. Only after thinking like a dog did the penny drop as to where it might be. Was also put off for a nano-second by orange barrier fencing in the area. Don't worry the cache isn't in immediate danger.
No Swaps.
Thanks Doggies.

Thanks Doggies.
You checky dog you!, I saw that thing on my 1st visit and thought it was just a small bit of garbage! Hehe.
Swapped $2, a ceramic squirrel, and a diamond for the python. I wasnt going to exchange anything, but the python was just too cool to pass up. I didnt have anything as cool to swap, hence the reason for putting extra stuff in.
Thankyou Snifter for this cunning cache!

Took us 2 goes to find this well hidden cache but finally!!
Swapped the badge for a $2 coin as it was the only thing I had that would fit in the little cache container.
Thanks 2 dogs.
Cheers from daz1950 and Team.

[:0]Looked for an hour but unable to find even with the help of Dazdog. (although he did find another bone). There are barricades there that appear recent. Is the cache still there?
Cheers.

Gotcha!
Came back today for a solo search, figured an early morning on an overcast day would disuade the bridge/rope jumpers from the area. After a half hour of checking under bushes and rocks, finally uncovered the sneaky little bugger.
I saw this well concealed little stealth package twice yesterday, and mistook it for just another bit of junk.
Swapped a carabiner for a glo toy, a stick pin, and a SteelRat sticker. This container is little, but not a micro. I think it is a 400ml Sistema container, so your swaps will need to be pretty small.
Thanks for the fun 2Dogs, I was starting to think no-one was going to put another cache out in this area.

Bugger.
Thought I'd give this fresh one a quick look, being so close and still unfound.
Note to self: Don't take along 2 year old who wants to go caching, then insists on being carried everywhere and is scared of noisy trains. Also, pick a day when there aren't hordes of kids diving off bridges and ropes, all in plain site of cache area.
Checked the tracklog in detail when I got home. Apparently walked straight over/under the cache.
Is it a micro? Is it cleverly disguised to look like a rock? Do I need my eyes checked?
Only time will tell.
PS: Stormin'Norman came along on this one (with his brother MadMitch). 2 Dogs didn't find Toy Story, so this must be poetic justice.)
