My son and I found this one looking for GCF6CE. We are going back to explore further at a later date. I took him with me the last 2 trips out and he's having a ball.
Purgatory Chasm State Reservation in Sutton Massachusetts has a few small caving, cavern and crevice opportunties. http://strangene.com/underworld/pcaves.htm
We found our cave in Dry Island Buffalo Jump Provincial Park this afternoon in Alberta Canada. The park has many hidden caves - check out our pictures of the cave, GPS and the surrounding area. TFTH.
This cave is on top of table mountain, in Cape town, South Africa, at a cache called The Pit. It is not a very huge cave, but has a little tunnel leading a few meters into the dark.
Attached is a second photo of me inside another cave called Clovelly cave. I have hidden a cache (Paths of the dead) about 30 minutes crawl into this cave (note the dirty knees)
- only 1 person has been brave enough to find it so far.
I a holding up the King of the Dead in this photo.

We took a group of Boy Scouts to Camp Orr outside Jasper,AR to a cave called Copperhead Cave. Copperhead is located in a creek bed with about a 2'x2' entrance opening out into a large room. If you follow the left cave about 1/2 mile you run into a underground waterfall. The right cave is almost always full of water. Sorry about the pictures but this was before I got my digital camera. None of the pictures inside the cave came out. TFTC
Found a small cave near a place called Killing Rock on the Red Fox Trail at Pound Gap near the KY/VA border.
Found a cache here, "Rhapsody in the Rain," by DooWopDee. The locals refer to this as Rain Rock Cave as it has sheltered hunters for many years from the rain. It is located in Allegany National Forest on forest Rd. 260 in McKean Co., PA.
This is little known Packs Cave, located in LaFollette, Tennessee. Paradigm and I made our way into this system shortly before 4 p.m. and spent about two hours slipping, sliding, avoiding bats, squeezing through passages, squeezing through passages, squeezing through passages....This cave is officially on my list of favorite underworld sites, just as this locationless is one of my favorites. Too bad it'll be archived soon-I really hate to see such a well thoughtout (read that not boring) locationless cache go away. Thanks for allowing Paradigm and I to share the local speleo-spots!
A tight entrance but quite an expansive cave once you squeeze through. Situated in the heart of Robin Hood's Stride in Derbyshire.
We used to be able to go in this cave until it was fenced off due to safety reasons. It is in a missing layer of rock- you should be able to see the strata lines on the photo.
Logging this before the end of the year!
I visited St. Ninian's Cave on Burrow Head, Scotland on June 22nd 2005. It's famous (in a way) for being in a cult british horror movie of the 1970's. I set my own cache called 'The Wicker Man - Our more dreadful sacrifice' close by http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=db0447dd-e832-4d6e-91c5-f3d5b58be7ff before walking along the coast to visit the remains of The Wicker Man's legs. It's a stunning area, even if it's not much of a cave, more of a deep cleft in the rocks - see photo. For a better cave go to N54° 59.330 W005° 04.266, where there's another cache: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=29fe02e8-cebe-4ecc-9ac3-f0e432c1ab35

Mount Diablo
Contra Costa County, California
I submit this with some amount of reluctance. There are many old mines around the hills of Mount Diablo. Some we have explored when were younger, but of course I wouldn't recommend doing this now.
I was on the Black Point trail today and ran across this abandoned mine. I noticed it due to the tailings on the ground. It appears it has been tried to be buried but has been uncovered by young explorers.

Klondike Rocks is a great unknown area in McKean County, PA. It is in Marshburg, just outside of Bradford. A cache was placed here in one of the caves and remembered that you wanted pictures of caves too! I've also included a photo of me finding a Jeep TB in Dead Man's Cave cache. See the eerie creature behind me?
This cave is located in Wabasis Park. Kind of a sorry excuse for a cave, but labeled a cave none-the-less.
This cave is located near Dollar Lake Park in Nova Scotia, Canada. The cave is about 3000 square feet in size.

This cave is near the crest of one of the small volcanoes on the far west side of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Kaena Point, Oahu, Hawaii
This cave is located on the westernmost shoreline of the island of Oahu. It was once the location of a geocache but because the cave is often visited by muggles, the cache was plundered several times and is now archived. It's an interesting cave to visit. No bats but still very dark and damp inside!

Tunnel Brook Cave near Folly Mountain, Nova Scotia. This cave was eroded by water flowing through a fault in the sandstone and red mudrock. It is quite large and easy to walk through unless it's been raining and the water is high. The cave mouth is adjacent to a what was once the Trans-Canada Highway, so it's been seen by hundreds of thousands of people.
This cave is near Lone Creek Falls at Sabie, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. The cave is not well known, not commercialised, and as far as we know, does not even have a name. The innocuous entrance leads to a labyrinth of many kilometers of tunnels, rumoured to extend as far as the historic mining village of Pilgrims Rest. While we were there, we placed a traditional cache about 50m inside the caves.
This cave is on the old Mamaloha Hwy. that goes between Waimea and Honokaa on the Big Island of Hawaii. There are several along this road. There is also a cache at the entrance.
Whilst visiting the Wet Cave in Narracoorte in Southern South Australia we snapped this virtual. the caves are worth the visit and for $27 per person you cacn go caving for 70 minutes in places that require no fear of being trapped.
Grottes de Vallorbe, 1337 Vallorbe VD, Switzerland
The cave is a long and winding tunnel leading to the subterranean river Orbe and is accessible to the public. It contains beautiful speleothems like straws and calcite crystals. The water of the near by lakes Lac de Joux and Lac de Brenet is flowing through the cave.

Thsi was a great day with many finds. We stoped at cache GCMDK7 and logged the cache. On the way out past the unique rock wall rock formation my partner and wife spied this opening. It was relly neat. The cave extending 15 to 20 feet into the rock and was at least 6 feet tall and 15 feet wide. A great palce to sit out a storm and stay dry. Thanks to CHSMATHWISCH for placing the cache and letting us find this. Did not see any birds in the sanctuary but did beat the storm home. 70 degress in November in Pennsylvania. Go figure.
This cave is located near Navarcles, Catalonia, Spain. Its access is easy. In fantastic surroundings we can submerge in the depths of the Earth.

this is the Gobbler Indian Cave that Indian Fighter Lewis Wetzel lured Indians to him to be killed. He had lost many friends and relatives to the Indians and had a burning hate for them. The Indians would see him or hear him in the cave and come for him. What they didn't know was that only Wetzel knew the cave had a secret exit out the top of the hillside. Wetzel wpild waylay them in or out of the cave.I has severa rooms and is quite large inside. I've been in there and it is spooky. This is known as Gobbler Indian Cave.

Eine wunderschöne Sandsteinhöle in Süddeutschland auf Cachertour gefunden. Das Hölensystem ist weit verzweigt und man kann durch viele kleine Gänge kriechen.
Stumbled upon this cave while out with the family on a nice hike. It is located on the flank of Mt Princeton, west of Buena Vista, Colorado. The elevation at the mouth of the cave is about 8,950 feet. It was hard to tell how far back it went, and the wife would definately not let me check it out...
Found this one in Duisburg (Germany).
It´s a Cache-Cave. But don´t tell it!

I have no idea how far this cave goes back in but it looks like a fair way... i didn't go in as there are quite a few cave-ins on the path along the way.
There are also signs of a few transient residents - fireplace and ubiquitous shopping trolley etc...
The cave is located under Mount Gravatt in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

I happened to find these caves in the province of Lower Austria while I was searching for another cache. They were apparently used by the local inhabitants as a sort of refuge or hiding place from invading Swedes during the 17th century. Although it's not a tourist spot, it's possible to visit them today.

Forgot to log this one earlier. This is the BATCAVE of Batman (TV series) fame in Griffith Park, Los Angeles California. The entrance & exit, about 200' apart, have obviously been widened & smoothed. But I believe that the cave is natural because the interior is very irregular.
This is a second of two caves near Mascot Pond in Gorham New Hampshire. The mouth of this cave is a large vertical crack. The cave is currently gated as the cave is the home of about 2000 bats and they want to keep curious people out. I got to the cave at dusk and some bats were just starting to fly out.

This little cave is called Desperation Cave, although some of the locals refer to it as Wolf Hole Cave. It is south of St. George, Utah on the 'Arizona Strip'. It comes by its name honestly--there are some spots in there that would make the uninitiated feel pretty desperate. There is a BLM box in the mouth that contains a map and instructions not to venture too far if you do not have experience.

I was astonished to see that this cave has not yet been logged, as it is the site of the Devil's Den geocache in Southern New Hampshire. The cache is not difficult after one finds the entrance to the right cave, but most cachers have trouble locating the correct entrance, as the cave entrances are on the side of a steep cliff-like face -- just getting to the right entrance tends to be the hard part of locating the cache! If you wish, you can read our log for the Devil's Den cache.

The walk in the cave itself is pretty long until you come at the end were a picture of Pierre and Serge were taken.
A "wild" cave very fresh in the summer and very pleasant and just a little bit impressive for those with claustrophoby!

Admittedly this is a pretty pitiful cave as far as caves go, but the kids (even me, the big one)... found it pretty impressive. The cave is a relatively small one that you can walk up into a large block of rock as you're scaling Mt Ngungun, part of the Glasshouse Mountains, Queensland, Australia. We didn't explore far into the cave as it was far too scary
This is a huge cave at Bethels Beach on West Auckland, this beach has been used to film Xena Warrior Princess. Its a great place, but watch the water rips.

The Harman Valley lava flows from Mt Napier 8000 years ago were able to travel long distances without spreading sideways. The flows cooled at the surface to form a crust while the lava inside continued to flow. Eventually, the internal lava drained away leaving hollow lava tubes or tunnels. Weathering and erosion caused the ceilings to collapse here exposing the tunnels and caves below. Some of these caves are open for up to 250m. The attached pictures are of one of these caves in Byaduk, Victoria, Australia.
This cave is Tunnel Creek, in Tunnel Creek National Park, north Western Australia.
Tunnel Creek flows through a water-worn tunnel beneath the limestone of the Napier Range - part of an extensive fossilized barrier reef from Devonian times 360 million years ago. The park is of international geological significance.

These photos were taken near Goa Lawah in Bali Indonesia. This spot is known as the Bat Cave Temple (for obvious reasons). This is a Hindu temple, and while the cave is only about 50 meters deep it manages to house many thousands of bats of three main types – insect and fruit eating bats and flying foxes as well as many snakes (mainly pythons) which prey on the bats, most often by hanging down from above and catching a bat as it tries to fly out of the cave in the evening. Bats exit the cave to feed each evening and return before or around dawn each morning. The cave is only about 50 meters from the main road through the area and is easily accessible, with the temple grounds flanking the road. You must be dressed appropriately (sarong etc) and if you aren’t you must rent one before entering the temple grounds. On leaving the temple you’ll find many local children trying to sell you bead jewellery and/or other trinkets. This is another very poor area of Bali especially since the bombing, so tourists are becoming rare. If you come this way, stop and have a look at the temple, the cave and the bats, and perhaps leave a little of your hard earned money with the local community.
