Thank you so much for my first cach!I now understand the VAROOOOM VARIOOOM VAROOOOOOOOOM
Needed to use my geo-stealth and a little vroooom here. Thank you for the hint. I wouldnt have found it otherwise. Took a little walk away from GZ for pretty view. TftC
Looked for ages as the coordinates are out, but finally succumbed to checking the hint, which resulted in a win!
Four middle aged man in a park (and I'm being generous to Mr TT ). The coat was clear and budgie made a beeline for the duck.A quick find and it was time to duck off! Thanks Team CanyoneroThe usual trio of myself, stainless steel rat and Budgietas was joined by Tassie Trekkers for The Great Leap Forward trip. We decided to cache down south around Goolwa, Victor Harbour and extended reaches for a few days, before basing ourselves in Glenelg for the second half of the trip where we cached around the city, the hills and the Barossa Valley with a highlight being a couple of hours on Adventure Island. Many thanks to the Mega Committee, all the helpers and many local COs who kept up busy and entertained. Most logs were stamped with Team Tassie.
When we parked up we were so pleased to see the area empty of any kids, so we made a quick search and budgie found it in no time.Great to see an old cache like this living on.This was the first trip to the mainland for this group of Tasmanians in a while, we flew over on the 24th and left early on the 3rd. With 4 days in Goolwa followed by 4 in Glenelg we managed to get some caching done in different areas and pull in a select list of caches we all almost all needed, old caches were on the list as normal but also some different D/Ts with some high fav pointed cache making up the remainder. The trip didn't start well with Qantus losing a bag which made us rearrange a couple of days but we got some 4WDing in and a even some driving on the beach to get a couple of different caches, boat trip to Adventure Island was a great start on the day of the Mega too.All caches were stamped "Team Tassie" which consisted of myself, gooseandegg, Budgietas and Tassie TrekkersFound on 02/03/2024 at 18:43:00 thanks to Team Canyonero for placing this cache for me to find. After a great Leap Day Mega event a couple of days ago and a nice road trip to Victor Harbor and catch up in Glenelg yesterday, today I was mostly by myself on my last day here apart from when I attended a couple of events. I drove around doing whereigos, a few multis and a few puzzles I had solved. As I got slowly closer to the airport I did some ad labs and a fair few trads until I had to head off to catch my flight. It was the end of an enjoyable few days. When I arrived it was an "oh no a kids Park cache" so I sat in the car for a couple of minutes and surprisingly the muggles left which is rare when you are sitting waiting. Thanks to the hint I got in there and out of there quickly. Thanks Team Canyonero for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
A day of caching in and around Adelaide grabbing some useful D/Ts that we havent visited beforeAll log books were stamped with team Tassie which included Goosenegg, stainless steel rat, Tassie trekkers and myselfTFTCSorry for the generic log, it has been a long week!!!!!!!
Today is day 9 of our SA Great Leap Forward Mega adventure. Based at Goolwa, Mr T, Gooseandegg , Stainless-Steel-Rat and Budgietas concentrated on finding caches with appropriate D/T 's to fill their Fizzy Grids and this was one of them.We signed the log Team Tassie. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
Found in our group of six Queenslanders unsupervised in Radelaide mega'ing. Stacey is touring us around Adelaide picking up some stragglers. All logs signed or stamped as SQUIRM. Thanks for the cache Team Canyonero
And on the seventh dayThe best cure for Post Leap Day Blues (yes ,thats a real thing) is to either: a) Get up at 5:30am to go caching including an event in a new LGA or b) Sleep in until 10am and go shopping SQUIRM managed to do both Taking advantage of yesterdays Owners Maintenance we made short work of finding this oldie Thanks Team Canyonero ??
Day 8 of SQUIRMs adventures around South Australia and with only 2 days left theres still some targets to get. We are awake early and its still dark but thats not going to stop us. I think we chose the right time to visit this one because definitely no one was playing here at 6am.Quick find.Tftc Team CanyoneroFind #5721

6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.During our 5 days in Adlade, we visited the centre and around while following the caches and labs. We resolved some mysteries before our trip. We made some great discoveries and great experiences. Thanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots
I had never geocached in South Australia before, and with a Mega event on offer, I thought I would pop in to my neighbours for the day. Took the first flight in from Melbourne and the last flight out. Got back to Melbourne just before midnight of this leap day 2024.My plan was to walk Adelaide collection as many types of possible, oldies, Virtuals, Earthcaches, and most importantly, my first Webcam. From the airport to the event, collecting caches on the way. Then, he chatted with friends at the Mega before walking to the heart of Adelaide. The city was busy, and I bumped into a number of geocachers, my locals, interstate cachers, and at the webcam, a Polish group of geocachers. Cheated on the way back to the event and took public transport, but did walk the 5 kilometres back to the airport for my return flight home.I was pleased that I got at least 1 of every type, most of the oldies I wanted, and walked over 20 kilometres. Maybe I should have had a sports watch on recording the steps. Thanks to everyone for a great adventure. I was still walking to the event but had to stop here. Logging with permission of the CO, who I missed saying hello to at the Mega. ??Thanks for the cache, Team Canyonero.Hunter
Nice little find! Logbook and pencil are still there. For the next person who finds the cache, you will see a long and skinny leaf in there waiting for you.
We can see magnets where it used to be, but no cache. Almost certainly muggled
New container and log. Enjoy. If it goes again I will relocate a little bit.
Cute hide on a nice walk. Unfortunately only has a pencil and plastic bag - log has disappeared
Needed the hint as my phone gps told me it was 10 metres west of the actual location.

I had been here a few times already and kept getting muggled out. Since there was some action on the watch list I returned while passing through the area.
Thankfully being early there's no muggles.
A quick find and cache is all good.
Thanks Team Canyonero for this cache.
This cache brings Goldy's total find count to 2381 on the 20th of January 2023.

Doing a bit of a caching run tonight to get the steps up and I had time for just one more cache before it was going to be dark. This one was the closest to me so off I went for a look. I was grateful I was looking at dusk as, despite the mozzies having a feast, no-one was around. A quick find here. TFTC Team Canyonero
I waited out some muggles, then more muggles arrived as soon as they left.
After waiting them out too... a DNF. I don't spend much time at playgrounds.
Bummer as this is an older cache, will see what happens on the watchlist and then come back.

Found, well I think I found it
Found an empty container on the ground below the base of what I believe was the hiding position.
I have place a sheet of paper in the container and placed it back up under said hiding place (it appears to be magnetically in place for the time being)

No idea why I haven’t found this one before today gray to get a well maintained golden oldie. Nice quick find by torchlight after work whilst having a wander along the linear park. TFTC Team Canyonero
Why weren’t playgrounds like this when I was a kid??

Sigh. Gone again. Will rethink the location as I suspect a muggle knows of its existence. Back online soon.
Easily found without any minor muggers in sight.
Cache was empty so added some bits no log in cache

It was gone. Looks like council replaced the thing it was attached to. Hint is still relevant though.
Looked under the playground car for a good 5 minutes and couldn’t see anything. Don’t know if I’m blind or if it’s gone
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird, Liz & Bruce. Another great day for caching. TFTC Team Canyonero
