Nassau was the next port for Anthem of the Seas and I still needed a few caches here.
I've been to Nassau several times but never ventured far from the town center. This one gave me incentive to go a little further west.
Great spot, thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks for the cache, world travelers

MMMMMMMCMXLVII: First find in the Bahamas. Second stop on our Nassau tour. Answer sent. TFTC
I am spending a few days in the Bahamas for work, so I am trying to combine that with finding a few caches. I was not busy this afternoon, so I walked from the downtown area to the fortress: the museum is actually quite interesting. I learned a lot that I would not have otherwise. And that is of course the fun of geocaching! So I heartfelt TFTC to you! And the answer is on its way!

On the Carnival Fascination for a cruise to the Bahamas to pick up a few virtuals and Earth Caches. Thanks to the cachers who placed these caches and made this game a little more interesteing. Emials to follow.
Was at Fort Charlette for the Nassau Native Quest excursion and had a great time, answer was easily obtained on a humid fun filled day. Thanks again for a great virtual.

Out for a tour of the island today while here to watch the Aggies play in the Battle for Atlantis. Forts always amaze me. TFTC
quite the walk today! we walked over 12mi today! found this virtual while our cruise ships were in port today. while this was a very cool cache, this also sort of knocked me sideways. the name on the stone really stopped me in my tracks. it's weird how the universe works.... anyways thanks for keeping the virtual going.
Enjoyed an hour at For Charlotte, checking out the dungeons and the ramparts and everything else. Such an amazing place. Answers sent.
We had to come back a second time to claim this find, since they locked the place up tight at 4pm yesterday. Today the tours were in full swing when we got there. Uniformed tour guides and such, but we had already had enough of that kind of stuff today, so we found our cache info and enjoyed the views.
Stopped by here with geoGnasher on our tour of the island and had to get the virtual. Interesting history and beautiful views from the top. Thanks for bringing us here!
This year's vacation took Jan (1/2 Team Wild Cards) and me on board of AIDAluna. We cruised in 22 days from New York to the Carribean and had a really lovely and great time
The first days were filled with sightseeing of famous places [^] but from day 5 on beaches, palms and the sun dominated every day
To the end of the journey we could even see two mayan sites which we really liked [^] and snorkeled with stingrays .
Despite the fact that our days were really full and sometimes tiring we had to find at least one cache at every stop and were only happy when we finally did so [^]
After a nice walk from the port to the Parliament Square, to the Queens Staircase, to Fort Fincastle and a first short stop at the beach we finally tried to visit Fort Charlotte.
Unfortunately I had the wrong information from google maps and didn't see that this cache is near the fort, so we ended in an area which wasn't so nice. But then I saw this cache and we quickly went to the rigth spot.
The Fort is really nice but unfortunately we hadn't enough time to read everything interesting.
Afterwards we returned to the beach, took a quick bath to cool down and had to leave Nassau.
Thank you for the cache and best regards from Germany,
jumala

Found during our 7 day eastern Bahamas cruise on Oasis of the Sea. Virtuals are our favorite! Answers on the way.
9941. Found this during our holiday around the USA and The Bahamas.
Staying at Atlantis, so we caught a Taxi up to the top of the staircase, and walked back into and around town grabbing some Virtuals and an Earthcache. This was the fourth and last find for the day before heading to the HRC for lunch. A nice fort to visit and a great area to look around. Answer gathered and sent to the CO.
Thanks world travelers !! Fav Point !

I wanted to stop by here two years ago when I was on a Carnivale Cruise, but I took a wrong turn and ended up at Senor Frogs. This year we cruised with NCL and made made the one mile or so walk to this nice old fort. After paying $1.08 each...(yes, just a dollar and 8 cents), we took a self guided tour and found the needed information and sent it to the CO.
Thanks for an excuse to visit and learn some interesting local history.

The wife and I, along with another couple, set sail on the Carnival Valor out of Port Canaveral on Saturday. We were sad to see that Nassau was removed from the trip on Friday before we were due to set sail because of Tropical Storm Erika. Just as we were leaving port they announced Nassau had been added back on. We had booked the Native Quest excursion which takes you right to the fort where this virtual is located. We participated in a fun little scavenger hunt and while everyone ran about the fort looking for the hidden objects I found this cache. I also managed to find 4 of the 21 objects we searched for but I left most of the running around to the younger folks. The excursion was fun and gave me a chance to find this cache. TFTC
A nice short excursion here to see while visiting the area. I really love old forts like this and was thankful for coming here. Email sent for verification and many thanks for the cache.
Love the brief tour of the fort. We love learning about the culture and local life.
Grabbed with the family while cruising the Caribbean on the Carnival Freedom!!
Will forward the correct answer asap

Found on a morning drive around the island. Beautiful sea views from the cache. Sending message with required info.
In Nassau for the day while on a cruise on Norwegian Gem. I wondered about doing this cache in the heat of the day since it is a fair walk from town but in the end figured why not, I'll never have another chance at it.
The search for the plaque was a bit tricky since I was operating without a GPSr, just notes. To make things harder, the info sign on cannon balls is no longer in place but with a bit of geosense and searching, I eventually found the required carving.
Email has been sent and I thank the CO for providing this opportunity for me to explore an interesting fort.
