We are on our way back over to the West for a friends memorial service in Geraldton but this trip we are taking our time , enjoying the drive and picking up a few caches and taking in the scenery. We are mainly concentrating on Ad Labs, Earth caches and Virtual's as these don't give you any muggle problems. Of course there will be others in between. We spotted this one come up and we're not going to leave a 2002 cache behind. We followed the GPS towards gz and then headed a little bit bush but still did not finding anything. As Diane turned around to say I can't find it she spotted the cache and we happily added our name to the log before returning as found. Many Lyn. Pat and Nathan for keeping this cache going for so long. It looks like it once used to be a fantastic area but is a little bit neglected at the moment but it still has a cache to bring people to it
I'm just remembering I need to remove the maintenance flag on this. It's all good to go. Just try to keep the container upright so winter rain doesn't infiltrate.
I like many things, I'm not so fancy most of the time, but I do like the occasional diamond... the gem type or the tree. These tall trees are seriously impressive! I did climb part way up the bicentennial tree several years ago but not a chance to the top! That's a looong way up into any of the towers. Love the big trees near the cache and a good quality container too!
Stopped at the diamond tree first for a look , love these forests of big trees. Next time I visit I'll plan on doing more forest walks to immerse myself more. Found no better track either on or out of gz but no blood offering necessary to the caching goddess. Found a cool fungi on the way back out. Tftc
That was not a easy find, walked over it coming from the track, only found it when I turned back and headed the other way, tftc.
Cache had a bit of water in it so I drained that and hid it lid up. TNLN. TFTC!
The problem with the cache is the ammo box has been through a fire. If its kept upright it should be ok. If you lay it down the seal is damaged so water will get in.Maybe someone that is visiting the cache can replace the log book for us. Next time we are down there we will swap out the container with a new one.Thanks. LPN
Thank you for the cache. Love these forests. The box is wet, and the pen and paper as well, did not write my name in the book.
Heading home from a weekend away in Pemberton and spotted this golden oldie on the map along the route home.
Parked up at the tree parking and walked down the access road towards GZ.
Got to 0m and started the hunt and then the gps had a recalculation so headed about 15m away to the new 0, this time there was no recalculation and the cache was located after a brief hunt about.
Thanks Lyn Pat and Nathan for placing Diamonds-R-a Girls best friend for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 10:16 on 8/7/2023.
This is find number 7445 for me.

We are heading to Busselton today after an overnight stay in Walpole and thought we'd stop by to look for this one.
Great ammo can that we spotted quickly due to the good hint.
Trackable dropped off.
Thank you, Lyn Pat Nathan, for placing this cache for our enjoyment and benefit and for keeping this old one well maintained

After travelling across the Nullarbor from Melbourne for a Family wedding in Perth and staying in Mandurah for a couple of weeks, we are now travelling along the South Coast back towards the Nullarbor on our return journey. We are currently camped in Pemberton and checking out the local sites. Today the weather was a little inclement, so after a morning in we went for the short drive to Manjimup this afternoon and stopped in here to check out the Diamond Tree and of course find the cache. After walking up the gravel road it was Mr Pooky who did the short bush bash and made the find. TFTC and showing us more of the area. TNLN.
Quick cache with daughter one and the boy while my wife and D2 checked out the big tree.
A touch overgrown, but no snake issues at this point in the year. Finished with a quick jog of the walking trail nearby.

Visiting southern WA for a couple of weeks for our 40th wedding anniversary for a bit of a relax and unwind, which of course means picking up a few caches here and there in what has been a lovely quiet time with such great weather.
Quite an interesting spot for an accidental find. Just pulled in for a little break and well, yes, there’s a cache here! A short walk and it’s in the bag.

*We visited many good caches and trails on our trip and had a lot of fun!*
Some showers of rain again today in the morning but lots of fine weather otherwise.
Really appreciate the cache owners effort putting this container out.
We soon located the hide.
All logs stamped: *tm/ww NZ*
Ammo box is in good condition, log a little damp but can sign fine.

It sounds like we will have to have a look at those one. It's in need of a bit of TLC.
It's unlikely it's going missing as it's not where any muggle would find it but that doesn't rule out a nafarious team being in play.
It's school holidays so camping vacancies are tough to find presently.
It someone feels up to it we are happy for it to be replaced with anything available that you have with you.
Now that Xmas is done and dusted we often have a bit if free time so will grass that way in the next month we hope.

We have holidays planned but were planning on going north rather than to the south. Depending on the weather.
If someone visits can they be prepared with a replacement log book and zip lock bag (or small container to put into the Ammo box. The ammo box seal is damaged from a fire so water gets in when it laid on its side. Its best to keep Ammo boxes upright for this reason.
We have a replacement but it may be a couple of months before we get down there and don't feel like a special trip for such an easy fix.
Thanks. LPN

Bit of a bush bash to this cache. Reading about the condition of the cache, I brought a replacement cache. However, I discovered this is an ammunition tin cache, and no way would I replace one of those. The plastic cache I had with me was too big to replace the inner plastic cache as well. So all I could do was leave a dry water proof log. The old, wet logs are still there. TFTC Lyn Pat and Nathan.
Found on a trip to the west from Adelaide.
This morning, after another wet night camping near Denmark, I continued to head west, finding a few caches of interest along the way. I stopped in here to do this old one.
I wandered over from the road and soon spotted the cache. The container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks Lyn Pat and Nathan for the cache.

So this is my 500th find and slightly disappointed that I couldn’t sign the log as it was soaking soaking wet .. snap sent off to CO of proof BUT On the other hand am happy that I’ll remember where I was for the milestone. Lovely wet winter day and with Mr and muggle mate. I THINK my middle boy actually climbed this tree back In the day.
The cache seal at the top was damaged in a fire. If the Container is drained and placed with the lid upright it will dry out. Laying it down will have water get inside.
Next time we are near there we will check on it and see what we can do to limit water ingress.

Please be careful looking for this one. Lots of big spiked bushes and unsteady ground. Fell on my butt by stepping on a rotten log and got caught on a prickle bush
tftc though!

We decided to do a round trip from Manjimup to Pemberton, on to Northcliffe and back to Manji via Quinninup, checking out the Diamond, Gloucester and Bicentennial lookout trees on the way. This cache was found not far from the Diamond tree, which can no longer be climbed. I was relieved that the opportunity to scale this tree was no longer on the menu.
Found this one covered in slugs !
Was fun to find and we love a good sized cache !
Beautiful area ️

The Diamond tree is certainly very impressive. We understand that the fool hardy used to climb this tree up to the platform but that is no longer permitted.
Not knowing the tracks in the area, we made much harder work of getting to GZ than it should have been. We made our way through the light bush for about 80m before coming across a track. We stayed on that track until the last 20m. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a well hidden and very robust cache container. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Lyn Pat and Nathan for a very enjoyable cache - it earns a favourite from us. Our walk back to the car was much easier as we knew some of the tracks.

Found it. TFTC Lyn Pat and Nathan. Another great find from the archives. Nice early morning walk and beyond.
Wow, our first ammo tin! Son found it while I was still checking the CO ordinates. TFTC! Such a great spot! Shame we can't climb the tree anymore.
This is my 507 find.
Thank you Lyn Pat and Nathan for you placing and maintaining this cache.

Another iconic LP&N golden oldie ticked off.

I am so in awe of all the large trees. I come from mallee bush country. Will be sad to head home after my week long stay in the area. Hopefully this is the first of many cache finds. TFTC. Travelling with Lidds and Miss Goosey
An interesting walk through the undergrowth. And a good sized container as a reward.
Thanks for the cache Lyn Pat and Nathan.

Walked to gz from the parking area. Had a quick scrounge around and found cache at opposite end to GPS. Walked back to have a look at the Diamond tree. Amazing to think that it was someone's job to climb up and down these tree everyday over the summer months looking for signs of a fire. Found with Panda Dundee. TFTC ️
Wow I don't like heights no way I could have been a fire spotter! Thanks for this cache.
A bit of Bush bashing with my new smashed screen phone loved these containers. TFTC
Thanks for the cache.. prob woudnt to the walk on a hot day .. wouldn’t see a snake on top of you haha ..
But of a bush bash to this one but found easily. Sorry to say there were no diamonds in the cache! . Cache in great condition. TFTC
