I headed up to Dimboola for a CITO yesterday and did not realise it had been cancelled on Friday evening until I was checking what time it was planning on starting when in Stawell. It was cancelled due to the heat and the total fire ban as well.It was going to be hot picking up rubbish so it was for the best.I did some caching in Stawell and still headed up to Dimboola to do a small I Spy Series. On the way back I tried booking some accommodation for the night. After finding out that all of the accomodation is booked out between Stawell and Ballarat for night I stayed in Avoca for the night and now it is a different way home. After touring the Perydale historic area and finding a mine I got out of the bush only to find I was heading back in again but in but in a different direction.Made my way in to the WP and found the coords lying on the ground. After noting what was needed I place the coords a bit higher up.Did the maths and it was a dejavu moment as have I been there before.Headed off to GZ, parked the Geocruiser as close as possible and headed off to look for this one.GPS jumped around a bit but I eventually spotted the cache. Now is this the last time of heading bush. Thanks choocknchunk TFTC.
Well that was an adventure driving through the bush!! Did the coordinates wrong initially and went to a wrong location although not far out of the way l! Entered the correct coordinates and drove through the bush until we got to about 100m to GZ. Walked up and found it quickly!! What an amazing spot!! TGTC!!
Out caching with Lumpyjrb, this was a great little multi and no trouble finding the cache. It is great to get these older caches. Thanks for maintaining it and thanks for the cache.
Found on a family caching afternoon. Glad the CO warned us to allow some time. The area was so interesting we spent quite some time exploring. Cache was an easy find and the geomobile got us to 90 metres of the cache. Tftc.
After spending the night camping with Mr Dromaniax at their block in Moonambel we headed to Avoca this morning for breakfast before heading back to Moonambel to pack up camp.
With camp all packed up we planned out route home with some key caches that we wanted to grab on the way home.
Mr Dromaniax had this one on his radar for his Jasmer grid. So after were completed the cache we were at we headed into the bush following a round about route that finally got us to where we wanted. Eventually once we had gathered the required info we worked out we had to go back to the spot we just came from. At least we knew the way there
Thank you Chooknchunck for keeping this old cache alive
Sorry for the late log

Mr Sims_family and Mr Dromaniax had headed up to Moonambel to take the Dromaniax caravan to their property. It was decided that they would camp overnight at the property and do a little caching around the area.
So the caravan had been delivered at the tent and stretchers set up. As the Avoca pub was closed today it was decided we would head up to St Arnaud to check out dinner options there.
It was now time to make our way back towards home bases.
As neither of us had any pressing engagements we cached our way back.
This was another target cache to fill in a JASMER spot, plus its an old cache.
We traversed the local countryside more than we would have liked as we chose to go to another cache first and then ended up passing it on the way to the final for this one.
Thank you for this Multicache Pyrenees Kid and to chooknchunk for adopting and maintaining it for the enjoyment of the Geocaching community.

Thanks for a enjoyable multi with two very interesting waypoints and a terrific cache container. Lovely.
My work day was over so we decided to come for a drive and find this vintage cache. After I'd spent a few minutes checking out the stump and seeing if anything could be wriggled, M came over and almost immediately spotted what we were looking for [:o]. Then it was a pleasant drive to GZ although the road, nay track, we took was probably not on the recommended list!

With Christmas lunch all over, it was time to go for a drive and find at least one cache. This was the one I chose, and what a good one, nobody around just the dog and I taking in all the sounds of the bush. Cigc. Tftc
Spot on co ords… first place we looked.
We have been here many years ago as Mrs Riddells sister lives very very close to here.
However, it’s taken us some time to do this multi.
We converted the figures last time we were in the vicinity about a month ago , but we did this at dusk.
Today we needed to deliver a car to Mrs Riddells sister, which meant we drove 2 cars from Macedon Ranges to the CITO at Scotchmans Lead today.
So we were very happy to be rewarded with a nice quick and easy find.
As Regionals we obeyed the appropriate COVID 19 restrictions Upon us.

*Cache find # 11774.*
*Multi cache find # 992*
After leaving Avoca, I then headed for this one as it's a multi and I,m trying to reach 1000 multi finds and the other important factor is that it is a first 500 cache.
After gathering the required numbers at the posted coordinates, I then plotted my route to GZ.
I was getting closer and found a nice parking spot on the side of the track only 180 metres from GZ.
I set off on foot making my way up the hill to GZ, it was fairly easy going and before long I was there, I quickly spotted something that looked a bit placed so I checked it out and the cache was found.
**Thanks to Pyrenees Kid for placing this cache and chooknchunk for keeping it going.**

We found gold at WP1 however I called out the final location without paying enough attention to detail. At the first proposed location we looked around. We checked the hint. No gold here. No rocks here. Back to the drawing board and my mistake was discovered and we were soon off again. At the final location it was eureka. A very enjoyable multi. A great location. TFTC
H423L decided to check out this multi and I think I was the first in the car to say YES!! So we ventured to wpt 1 and made the find. Gotta love an old wpt like this.
We then headed off to the GZ but realized we had made a slight error. We rebooted and headed off to where we kind of thought we should be going.
A fantastic golden final GZ and fitting spot. A lot of photos of the interesting geology. We did not dig but licked the rocks.
Thanks to chooknchunk and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
TFTC we were close by for the earth cache. Back to get this. Beautiful day for a drive 1/1/21
OMG!!! Please make more caches like this one! To go and find the co-ords hidden in the bush and then make our way to a hidden cache elsewhere just adds another element to the adventure!!!! TFTC!!!

A drive around the countryside to find a few caches. We went in the car with Geodog Penny on board. Going down to Lexton then zigzagging our way to Talbot, out to Majorca for the final find for the day before heading for home.
Found the numbers and off we drove a few ks away. Penny loves walking in the bush but one look at the area meant she had to on her lead here in case of any large diggers holes. We did find one very deep hole that had a grate over it. We had a look down but couldn't see the bottom. Got to where the cache was - a fantastic well camouflaged hide. We let Penny off her lead here as the area was safe - no holes. We explored around a bit before heading back down to the Earthcache and back to the car where we had a cuppa and eats before continuing on. A cache we enjoyed doing so a fav point we are giving it.

Suscoe found this multi this afternoon.
We decided to tackle a few caches that have been on the list for a while but we had never travelled out this way until today.
The info needed was very quickly found as it was in the open.
An enjoyable walk to GZ.
Thanks to chooknchunk for this hide.

Having visited the posted coordinates some time ago to grab the required information it was good to finally visit this really interesting formation and add my name to the old school log book.
Checked on this cache today after a report of a damp logbook.
Yes it was a bit damp so we dried it out the best we could.
It is still the original logbook so we need to look after this historical treasure.
So we replaced the plastic container that was starting to break in places with a new Tactix box.
Hopefully this will help keep things nice and dry.
We appreciate finders reporting the status of things so we can keep this cache in the best possible condition.

TFTC. We are back in Maryborough for the Summer. While here we are trying to keep up a streak for as long as possible. At the same time we are working on multiple challenges. With luck this month of November we will be able to do the Monthly Multi Challenge. This cache is the first for the month. This cache also fills in a blank month for the Ausmer/Jasmer challenge.
Thanks chooknchunk for keeping this one going.

Wowee! What an awesome cache. Final GZ is such a hidden gem in the bush. So cool. A bit of a hike up with the family but so worth it. Really is amazing to see all the hidden locations in the bush that aren't that far from home. I wonder how many more are out there? Many thanks for the cache. Adding a fav point.
Number one rule in geocaching - read all the information on the cache page thoroughly!! We found WP1 no problems and then I blithely plugged the new coords into my GPSr - without realising that I needed to change the minutes as well. We searched and ugly spot in the scrub for 10 mins, expressing our disappointment with the non-existant Quartz Reef, before realising our mistake and the fact that the correct GZ was 4kms away!
So back into the car and then Zeus expertly directed us down dirt tracks to the real Quartz Reef. And it was impressive. Not sure we approached from the correct direction as it was more than a T2 walk but we loved the giant quartz boulders, discovering a very deep mine shaft, the kids searching for gold nuggets and then easily finding the cache.

Heading home from Maryborough we took the detour to this cache , having wanting to do it for some time now. The knowledge that our great mates chooknchunk are now the caretakers of this very old cache is of great relief to know the longevity of this special date will be forever kept.
We arrived at the starting coordinates and quickly found the information to lead us ....yep....back the way we came lol Taking a shortcut through the narrow bush tracks we arrived at what certainly looks like the largest quartz reef , whether it is or isn't we were impressed what was in front of us.
Thanks chooknchunk for helping Pyrenees Kid out with this cache, keeping it alive for us and others to enjoy and marvel at the quartz reef.

It is with great regret, that I am unable to look after this, and many more of my originally hidden caches. It has pained me that some have disappeared because of my inability to maintain them as I should.
I recently attended the 15-year reunion in Lerderderg Gorge and I met some wonderful people, strong in the Geocaching Scene. They helped me to understand the importance of keeping the original caches alive. One fine couple asked me if they could adopt some of my caches that they- themselves have been secretly maintaining, as they have been unable to contact me. I was astounded, and humbled- and heartily agreed that they could.
So it is with great pleasure- I hear by hand this cache over to “Chooknchunk”
They will be the new rightful owners. I trust they will do a better job than I in looking after this cache, so other Geocachers continue to enjoy searching and finding.
My many thanks to chooknchunk for taking this burden, and if you need any future assistance- you know who to call on.

We are honoured to be handed custody of these important historic geocaches that were placed by Pyrenees Kid. We will do our utmost to preserve them so that future geocachers may continue to find them and enjoy their special locations.
Caches are certainly fun to find, but the friends we've made through geocaching top it all. Thank you Darryn. Jo and Glen (chooknchunk)

As we were making out way to the Nash Bash we decided to make a day of collecting a few caches in the area.
Well this was a rather epic multi that took us all around. Loved the final GZ. Never seen formations like that. Glad to see this old cache still active. Added our name to the logbook.

On our way to the Nash Bash in Clunes, we thought we might try to find a few caches in the surrounding area first.
We had collected the info at WP1 on our last visit this way but had run out of time to go to the final. Knowing it would be something worth seeing we would rather go on a day where we had the time to appreciate it anyway. And it certainly was worth the wait!
Thank you Pyrenees Kid for this lovely old cache, which is still in good condition, and for bringing us here.

A quick and easy multi as we cache our way around the Beaufort area today. We spotted this multi sitting out here all alone as we were slowly heading for home and decided it needed some love, especially since it has lain neglected for almost a year. A quick search at wp1 found the missing coord info, then just a few kms up the road and some more dirt tracks (We have had a great day for dirt tracks around the Beaufort area today. Gotta love that ), and we were at a massive granite outcrop. A short walk later and the cache was feeling just a little less unloved. What a great spot here, I bet there is plenty more gold just waiting to be discovered here too. It is a shame that fossicking isn't allowed, but the falling down old humpy up on top suggests that someone might have been up here for a while at some point in recent years. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

As of this morning, there were 14 placed months for which I have no finds, and six of those can be covered in Victoria. I'm hoping to knock off four of those six today... but the odd detour or opportunistic find never goes astray.
Three of those six in the bag... this was the fourth, and the second multi. The coordinates of GZ were pretty easy to find, and it was with mounting excitement that I entered them into my trusty GPSr, wondering how far I'd have to go for this one. Not a huge distance, I noted with relief... almost as much relief as when I discovered that the tracks I needed to follow to get within easy walking distance of the cache were in good condition, so my family hatchback was up to the task.
Negotiating the last couple of hundred metres through the scrub by torchlight was not a problem, though it's wise to take care where you tread in these former goldfields. And there, among the eponymous quartz, was my quarry (no pun intended).
Phew. With a hide from **April, 2003** now logged, I've covered every month back as far as April 2001. Today's mission is complete... now I'm Echuca bound for a few events.
Thanks to the Pyrenees Kid for enabling me to fill in another blank. Two in the space of a week.

A lazy day today so Mum decided that we should get out and about. Some new caches has been published in Clunes leaving us with some new closest un-found caches so we figured we should head this way. We converted the town to Smilies again, discovered some new places and took a big detour home to grab a few extras. TFTC!
We were a bit bored today so thought we would head to find these new ones close to home. Some nice quick finds in interesting spots we'd never been before. We'd been avoiding this one (we weren't sure if our car could get there) but today we bit the bullet and finally got the smilie! TFTC
This cache was our closest un-found as we were unsure if our low XR6 would be up to the challenge. We stayed away during Winter but as our 2nd closest un-found spread further, we decided this one needed a smiley asap! Co-ords were grabbed quickly and we backtracked to grab the actual cache. We climbed up and soon had the container in hand. Very satisfying to finally convert this one! TFTC
I knew where this reef was so I thought I'd wing it and try to find the cache without the co-ords. Needless to say my idea didn't work. So after locating the actual co-ords found it rather quickly. I would have never found it without them I don't think. Cool little hidden gem of our bush. TFTC.
Magnificent geological feature and original log from 2003. Fav point. TNLN TFTC.
This one was a bit different as the cache was some distance away. Mind you though it took us a while longer to find the cache as my knuckle-head mate didn't read the description properly and just bolted the new coordinates onto the existing ones which took us surprisingly to the wrong location! I suppose I should have read the description as well rather then letting Mrs B highlight his (er, our) indiscretion. Anyway after giving him a good slap we were soon at the correct location with the cache in hand.

I decided to head down to the Pyrenees Ranges to check out the camping areas for a possible camping weekend and grab a couple of caches.
This cache was on the list to grab even though it was so far away, but hay the lengths we go to to get smilies.
On a previous visit to Ballarat I had visited WP1 and gotten the co ords for GZ, but being on a bit of a time limit I had to leave the cache grab for another day and hay today was the day to grab it. Getting close to GZ I decided to park the ute and leg it up the hill. While making my way to the hide I spooked a mob of about 10 roos from their slumber in the shade.
I was starting to think that I may have put the co ords in wrong as I seemed to walk past all the rocks, but soon I noticed something cachey. Woo hoo there it is.

We ventured out after school this afternoon with in mind to do a few in the area as it wasn't raining. We got to WP1 and then it took us a while to get to GZ. We did manage to get quite close and found the cache with spot on co-ords. The cache was in excellent condition. Very hard to believe it is 10 years old. Thanks for bringing us here Pyrenees Kid, we have never been here before. Lovely views near GZ. Caching this afternoon with Glanville Girls, Motndarg and Tomstache. Home for dinner now and we will need to visit the area again to collect the other caches on our list.
Thanks for the cache. Cool multi. Nice reef, took a long time to get there. Caching with Motndarg, Glanville Girls and McLookers.
Caching today with Glanville Girls, McLookers and Tomstache. Nice drive to WP1, glad we had Geo kid on board to do the climb. Took the long way to GZ. A brief walk and bingo , the cache was found. Noticed that it was some 12 months since it was last found. The quartz outcrop was amazing. Thanks to Pyrenees Kid for the hide.
Thanks Pyrenees Kid for the 'tour' of the local area. We collected the info required at WP1 and punched them into the GPS. After a surprise as to where the GZ was located we replugged them in just to be sure we hadn't made a mistake. When we realised that we hadn't it was off to GZ. This one took longer than we expected to make our way to GZ but once there we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks again for the hide.
Cheers for the great cache! Was a wonderful drive to go exploring on a special day for us. Found with Elagas
Making a few short trips from Maryborough during our stay down south. Negotiated down the dirt roads to the first waypoint and found the coordinates. A bit surprised at the distance to go but followed GPS close to GZ. We knew we were on the right track when we saw the "final" area and we climbed up to an amazingly obvious reef. Found the cache in good condition. Another area we had never been to despite numerous visits to the area. Pity local caches only have sporadic visits. So good to have multis with clear and correct information - that seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Well done.

Quick find today with Sully1 on a trek that took us over 300km of roads, about a third of which was dirt. My car proves that, I think I took most of it home.
As Sully has mentioned, this was a fun cache to do that tested the 2wd on a few occasions winding through all the dirt tracks.
Thanks again Pyrenees Kid

Bogonghazy and I set off for a day of picking up all the remaining caches in this area today. We looked at this one and wondered if we should leave it, when it said 1 hour. Decided to check it out and put the clock on ourselves. Glad we did it after all. WP1 was straight forward, we then navigated our way by the shortest possible direct route, and walked the last 200 metres to GZ. I wasn't overly optimistic at finding this one quickly when we spotted the rocks. However, the cache was very soon in hand and logged. We stopped to take in the beaut views for a moment and then headed off again. Thanks for the adventure Pyrenees Kid, really enjoyed doing this one. And without busting our boiler from WP1 to signing at GZ was around 32 minutes.
Finally found this one after a false start when our GPS died half way up the hill ??. New day new GPS and away we went. Deacon found it very quickly once we got to GZ. Some amazingly big rocks around the area. The log in this one was dry in a zip lock bag however the rest of it was quite wet.
I had a good idea where this quartz reef would be before I started, as I have relatives living close by. Navigation was easy enough with correct maps downloaded, this route was a great excuse to travel slowly and enjoy the wildlife. Cache is still in good condition. Dipped a few travel bugs to show they've been in the area! TFTC from NZ
I was relying on Google Maps alone, and their maps are shocking for this corner of Victoria, Bing Maps does dirt tracks alot better, I wish I'd brought a printout of those before attempting this cache. I got the numbers and drove in a big circle around the bush land, looking for any road in that would give me access to the cache. I got there in the end, quite a navigation battle!
Thanks for the find. in good condition. Started raining as soon as we got here. Morgan and Laura

what a nice place, took the kids. seems i cant go caching without them, dropped a trackable
Great location and full of interest. Also an interesting drive through the forest from the stump without mapping software! Took Beck's metal card and left lion and a new pen. Thanks for bringing us here Pyrenees Kid.
Great Cache!
Out for the day with family, we figured this would be a good one to try out. Took ages following roads and trying to guess the right way to go before eventually finding WP1. Didn't have time to go and find the final location due to easter commitments, so turned around knowing we would be back later. Came back and found cache easily, well worth the day's looking.

As it was getting late in the afternoon and knowing that there was a suggested time allowance for this cache, we were watching every second – obviously we should have kept a better eye on the minutes (including the ones on the GPS'r)!
The CFA Spatial Map Book certainly proved its worth guiding us to the final location.
What an amazing outcrop of silicon dioxide at GZ!
We agree with Alansee – a worthy spot for an Earthcache.

The furthest away cache I did today. Found the information easily enough and then plugged in the wrong coords! Very quickly realised and set off to the right spot. Shonky Maps came to the fore and I managed to find a good way to gz, where the cache was easily found. An interesting spot worthy of an Earthcache, thanks Pyrenees Kid.
This was an enjoyable multi that without the mapping software I may have struggled to find GZ. Featherdown and I finally found the access track and managed to drive within about 200m for an easy stroll to this enormous quartz reef.
Thanks Pyrenees Kid for showing me this spot.
Thanks Pyrenees Kid for showing me this spot.
I was feeling a little carsick after all the widing driving so the walk up the hill was welcome.
Loved the reef which we caught sight of from a long way away.
Thanks

A quick visit was paid to the stump.
With coords in hand I then set off to find a caching fortune
GZ was a goldmine of geological interest. I don't think there is actually much gold here though
TFTC and tour of the back blocks.

This one had been on the list for a while, so Deano decided to find it while visiting his folks in Beaufort for Easter.
Found the stump easy enough, punched the co-ords into the GPS and on to the cache... or so he thought.
After turning down a nearby track and following it for a short time, pulled up to what was supposed to be GZ and started the head scratching, wonderring where the big reef was.
A quick check of the laptop revealed that he only changed the seconds and not the minutes in the co-ords. Whoa! Way off course.
Headed towards real GZ only to have a ute load of teenagers follow me up the track to the mine.
So as not to look too suss, headed off to another cache until they left.
Got back an hour later, found an even better place to park and cache was in hand 10 mins later.
Very impressive reef. Thanks to PK for bringing people here.
Took Stress Ball

A Nice stroll in an interesting area. The cache seemed a bit depleted so we topped it up a bit.

Took us a bit of meandering to find the way in. Geogirls had a great time on the large attraction while Mr Morris located the hide. Fantastic views. TNLN TFTC
We found the stump some months ago, but were not able to find an obvious way from there to the final location, although we knew 'where' we were supposed to be going from some historical research. There is some good information about the place available in both the Maryborough and Talbot information centres, and for 2wd cachers good driving instructions that wont leave you wandering the 4wd tracks. Loddon House in Talbot is also highly recommended as a lunch stop
Found the cache with relative ease mid-afternoon. Swapped a koala for a drinks coaster. The cache needs a new pen (we actually forgot to bring one with us!), but luckily one of the swaps was a silver pen and we were able to use that (although it too is getting dry) to make our log entry.
Exploring the area was really interesting with all sort of things to see including a very deep looking mine shaft and some little carnivorous plants.
Thanks to the Pyrenees Kid.

Found at 11.30am GAFF1. It took us nearly an hour to find this cache from the time we left Maryborough where we were staying the night. Loved the tracks around the area and it was interesting to see this outcrop of quartz along the ridge. Thanks Pyrenees Kid for showing us this area. Swapped Mondo dolls.
4.15pm
Found by Roma and Max.
Now this is an interesting place, and we wouldn’t be at all surprised if it isn’t the largest of it’s kind anywhere!
Max couldn’t resist taking a Silver Candle Stick Holder to match the one taken on our first ever find in Tasmania at Deadly Nut #2, and Roma a small Whistle Key Tag, and we left 2 Mondo Figurines.
Thanks Pyrenees Kid, this also proved to be a nostalgia trip for us, once the CSH was sighted.
Romax.

Found with embi & J (accompanied by Pyrenees Kid - no clues given though) at about 6.30pm. Only had to walk half way up hill as embi was trying out the new Prado! TNLN Thanks PK for hiding cache in a great spot.

Stopped 50m before the access road turn-off, convinced that I'd taken the wrong direction from the stump (clockwise; West then North).
After resigning myself to travelling the rest of the way around and approaching from the East, I spotted an access road and headed in. Later, after exiting via Bakers road, this seems to be a much better approach, in hindsight.
Spotted a guy metal-detecting near GZ, I guess the signs were made of wood and didn't register.
Took: Mouse Trap
Left: Koala
Thanks Pyrenees Kid

Thanks PK, spent ages looking around this place. a well hidden cache. Took Footyman and glowstick. left smilie stress ball and whistle keyring.
Fascinating area, we live in hope that when we are in one of these sort of areas we are going to discover a giant nugget. Took poncho and left mousetrap. Thanks Pyrenees Kid.
Found by the youngest member of the team,a piity no prospecting allowed, took sticky note, left footy key ring.
found by stumpyspud and lisa & jez, this was our 2nd for the day and the weather was horrible all day. for a start we were looking at the wrong co-ordinate but we finally got to the correct location! thanks pyrenees kid! no exchange made
This was a really nice easy one and didn't take too long either. The hardest part (for me) was the walk up the hill. While Muzza and Alan-san raced ahead I plodded along behind. By the time I reached GZ the cache had been found. 1310 swapped a Emergency Poncho for a Passport pouch.
Thanks for the multi Pyrenees Kid loved all the quartz in the area, I've never seen it in such abundance.

We almost decided not to do this one. We wanted to do as many as we could while we were out this way, and the clue sheet said allow 1 hour. Having found the co-ordinates on the stump, we quickly made our way to within 180 metres of GZ.
After a quick walk up the hill, Alan-san checked one side of a rock while I checked the other. When he yelled out 'found it', I thought he was joking. He wasn't. It took less than 10 seconds to find it, although most of that was probably just good luck and good satellite coverage.
I took a mini screwdriver set and left a Looney Tunes stikki note pad. Thanks Pyrenees Kid, for an interesting and enjoyable cache.

Found at 3:10pm, with Muzza and Kiwideb. This one worked out really well with the teamwork each of us could contribute, Muzza driving, my navigation on the PC and Kiwideb providing motivation. Any of use would have spotted this easily, I was just lucky enough be first. So that's what the largest quartz reef looks like - thank you Pyrenees Kid for getting us out to check it out. Swapped some looney tune lighlighter pens (out) for some mini wooden pegs (in).
Found at 9.45am. After a great day yesterday at the 4*4 cache event, we decided to head home via a series of caches in gold country. This was our first.
An easy find after following the GPS along a maze of 4*4 tracks.
An interesting geological feature.
Thanks PK for leading us to this area.

We came here after finding Benjamins horse got to the stump and retrieved the numbers and had a sandwich and from here we seemed to just end up going across country (coming out was just too easy) anyway we got there parked up the top and went walking. We found it in about 30min exchanged a pen set for a brush, took some photos and headed off for Bristol find This is an amazing place and a must to see. Our thanks to Pyreenes kid for the round about trip it made it interesting.

Amazing how many places in Vic were mined !
Thanks.

Was a little worried about the allow 1 hour to find at first. But we were filling out the log book in about 20 minutes from the stump. With only 5 minutes of that time getting from the carpark to finding the cache.
Thanks Pyrenees Kid for another interesting location.

Found without too much trouble on the way home from a great weekend of caching with good friends.
I think we walked the entire length of the largest quartz reef in the southern hemisphere!
no exchange made. Thanks very much pyrenees kid for bringing us out for exercise in the pouring rain.

Found 13:50, the last for the day, as we'd run out of time, with a few more caches tantalisingly close. I guess that just gives us another excuse to visit this area again in the not too distant future.
Took purple prayer bead bracelet and left screw drive kit, thanks Pyrenees Kid. Next time you want to avoid mowing the lawn we suggest you use a less extreme method hope the paw heals alright.

Found by Mary & David at 1530. Quite exciting to get the final coords in such a novel way. GeoCalais negotiated the maze of tracks ok today in the dry. Who would expect to find so much quartz like that? No trouble finding the cache - took pine fresheners, left hose clamps and a bracelet. Thanks to the Pyrenees Kid family for such an enjoyable day.
