As we will be visiting the region infrequently to visit our son we have decided to remove all Pilbara caches as first opportunity.
Congratulations to Crusty Bugger on finding your first cache. We hope you try some of our other caches around Karratha. Some of the more remote ones could become very interesting over the next month as (hopefully) we get some rain which will fill the billabongs!
This was my first cache. It took awhile to work out the photo. Good one close to town.
left a golf ball, took the big head pooh bear

We drove up and down the road a couple of times this morning before heading to Dampier but didn't give up and tried again this afternoon. Patience paid off.
Found first waypoint and then headed for the cache. Got to the same spot as Team Red Roo (the gate - or what was the gate) and walked the last bit.
TNLN
Thanks

We cannot believe a non-local managed to find this spot without asking for a clue at the given co-ords!! Yes they are our home address (or very close - look for the Pathfinder give away).
The views from the hills (from GCD4D4) won't help you find this cache. You will have to look for the location by trial and error. After driving 'the road' several times, we found the location and the quirk. After this we found the cache without trouble, `parking about half way up the hill at the gate. TN-LN-SL, and enjoyed the multicache that isn't. Thanks to Sue and Ian for an interesting cache.
Thought I would be smart and started on this one after lunch, but I should have done Longfellas one first, by the end of the day I had been to the highest point three times in the day.
The Comms Kiddettes did this one with me and walked all the way. They will sleep well tonight!!!
Swapped a Harry Trotter card for a Lego Man.

We had to "ask a friend" for clues but with a slight point in the right direction we found the correct pole and the rest was easy. The second location was close to another cache that we did the day after. We are getting to know our way around the hills better than the roads up here. We aproached the second part of the cache from the top of the hill and found it fairly fast then we just needed a rock to sit down on to write the log. We took the Tennis ball and added a "big headed Pooh"
Bugga. Again, didn't have the web available so giving me false co-ordinates meant I was never going to find this one. I suspect from the Pathy in the drive that I should have knocked & asked for more details but I didn't know at that stage the cache had been placed by yourselves.
Took a little time to work out but had no great drama's. Took Coasters, left Tennis ball. Nice Work!!!
An excellent concept to identify the start point and a great cache site.
I was particularly impressed with your cunning in the way you displayed the image.
I added a set of crayons to the cache.
