Greetings from Australia! Cool in London on a short holiday and found myself here after an underground navigational mistake was turned into a look at all things Westminster. Grabbed the info needed easily enough.

I like this building best.

Thanks for placing this cache The Wombles.

I did this one after visiting Westminster Abbey. I found the information without too much problem as I was able to get right to the sign. It was busy here as Parliament was sitting and the news channels were set up next door reporting live. The place was quite interesting, and is probably overlooked with Westminster Abbey right next door. I wouldn't have come here without the cache, and it is worth a visit. Will add as a favourite.

Found while visiting the UK. Big Grin

Found with some of the EA GeoMobbers on our weekend trip to London - Daazee & Team Postie Grum

A nice spot, no-one seemed to be as interested in this side of the road. I expect most people don't know this is here. Answers are sent in an email.

We came up to London for a day out with the intention of visiting Westminster Abbey. As usual we couldn't resist walking from Waterloo on a circuitous route to pick a a few (week to be honest more than a few) caches. After lots of caching and a late lunch in a pub nearby we arrived at the abbey to find it closed 1530 on a Tuesday and we were 2 mins late! Never mind there was always another cache nearby and this one was of historical interest. Thanks for bringing us here. Smile

Nice little virtual on our tour through London. Too sad that the nearby park cache wasn´t available due to the closing times...
Nevertheless this one showed a nice building.

Eleven months after starting to plan the trip we eventually turned up in the rain to visit the Westminster Clock Tower, more popularly known as Big Ben. I arrived a few minutes early and took a wrong turning to make sure I passed this spot to get the necessary answers!

The demonstration yesterday was by the ex-Ford workers who lost their pensions when, if I remember correctly, Ford sold off the part of the business that they worked in. That company then went bust taking the pension pot with it, and the remains were then bought back by Ford without any outstanding debts and commitments leaving the workers with no pension for all their years of service.

Many thanks for encouraging me to get out in the rain!

With a day in London before heading home I did quite a long walk around this general area. After having lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe I continued caching around and got to this one. I have visited this area many times so it was nice to revisit for a cache ! Answers sent to owner and permission to log granted !

On an afternoon when the whole of London seemed to be on the streets - and half of the USA, France and Japan, there were just too many muggles for success on a physical cache. How lovely to have a virtual to do instead. An interesting spot that I may not otherwise have visited. Thanks Wombles!

Found today, and without a reason to stop, more then likley we would have walked right on by, this is one of the benefits of geocaching, you get to see things a lot miss, and gain a smilie for the effort, looked in the local surrounds as well, interesting history, but then this country has so much history, too much for anyones single lifetime. Muggles aplenty on this gorgeous almost summer day. Nice spot, would have just wandered past gawking at that big old building on the other side of the road!

What an interesting little place tucked away.
Lots of activity across the road, including a small camp of peaceful protesters, but by contrast, so quiet near the cache.

We soon picked up the answers and emailed them off for verification before logging.
Great spot and a very nice virtual. Thanks for bringing us here.

1st of 12 finds during a 2 day stopover in London.

After looking the Abby it was off to find a few caches in the area. This was number 1.

I was here on budget day and the press and police were all over the place. Made an interesting day even more so.

Thanks for an informative cache.

Cheers,

The Wombats' first overseas find. Very interesting area with much history. Happy to take the diversion away from the usual tourist places. Wouldn't have known this was here without the cache.

E-mail sent to Wombles with answers.

Thanks Wombles.

Found by Mary & David from Australia at 1330. An amazing area, chock-full of London 'icons'. We'd visited most of them on previous visits (some more than once) but this one had eluded us. Our thanks to McDehack for showing it to us and for a fascinating series, even though we weren't able to complete them all (this time, at least).

Our first attempt was about 20 minutes too late on July-1, as the access gate was closed and locked for the evening when we arrived. So we made sure to return a couple of days later, just in time to nip in and photograph the answers, and check out the gift shop as it prepared for closing again!

Email sent.

Cheers

Used to eat my sandwiches round here years ago when I used to come to committee meetings in Church House so guessed where it was but had not read up on the facts before - thanks for reminding me.
