#2653 - Attempting Qty (15) virtual caches in a day to fulfill a Challenge cache back home in Northern VA. This was my 17th virtual for the day. Woo-hoo!!! I found GZ to be a bit confusing?!? There, I didn't quite find a "monument" per se but I did find a cement wall commemorating someone who was important to Las Vegas. TFTVC!! Big Grin Email with answer(s) en route...

2Moore, MaryP53, Audie and I made our way through the water fowl (who was rather mad at us because we didn't feed them) to get to GZ. Wow this area has such history. I would have loved to see it at its beginning. But there were many people enjoying it today also. Beautiful spot. Our answers were sent to you through GC messaging. Thanks for the cache.

I was out on a cache run with Shelle518, 2Moore and Audie3976. This one brought about memories of a Lynn Anderson song. That is what we were expecting here. Nice area and plenty of people out enjoying it. TFTC

Together with ErikSi I made a 12-days trip around the USA, starting in Los Angeles on 11/7.

From L.A. we drove around 12 days (and nights), made over 6500 miles (10,500 km), found a lot of remarkable caches and saw beautiful places.

At first we drove to Tucson and Mexico, then to Denver, Salt Lake City, Mountain Home, Las Vegas, San Francisco and finally back to Los Angeles.

Thanks to all owners who made that trip possible.

We found hundreds of Challenge Caches. My statistics are hidden, but there is a folder with proofs for the Fizzy Challenge as well as the date and month challenges and all other easy challenges. Folder

I'll try to load up pictures for all difficult challenges, too.

If there is something wrong with a condition please conact me bevor deleting the log.

I hope I can come back next near, it´s a really great country with a lot of even greater caches.

Actually, the highlight for November had already been found: Caching in BRNO.
Together with Trebbi we roamed CZ on several glorious days.
It was there that the question arose: Do you want to come with me to the USA? Departure next Saturday.
Wow - that was a minor organisational feat, but I was ready for the adventure.
So I didn’t have to think much about it; of course I said yes.
We took the same flight there, but my return flight was a little earlier and via Moscow.
It will still take weeks until all impressions will have registered.
We can safely state that we have enjoyed - or suffered - to the full every scenery and every weather in the southwest of the USA. Especially the blizzards and the highway patrols bore down on us.
Many excursions and trips were made spontaneously at the cost of our sleeping time. Never before had I spent two weeks with less sleep!
The things seen can hardly be assimilated. Whether it be the crass contrasts of the scenery, the endless roads (after all we covered 10,500 km during our trip), the brilliant cache series or the spectacles of nature we visited.
and...
and...
The caches we found are incredible in every respect: age, kind, D/T and whatever else the statistician's heart desires.
It was not easy, but we managed to resist the call of the big rounds of traditional caches.
Result: Supercool!
If it was not so far away from home, one could lay their homezone there.

We are in Nevada from Montreal Quebec to do the ET Highway power trail. Our group is composed of PatrickValerie, Tatie, JCLBA and myself. After finding the 2400 caches on the E.T. Trail, we leave Tonopah towards Vegas, and we have visited many virtual caches.

While it doesn't appear Mr Lorenzi's original project is still in operation, the park is so far the most beautiful I've seen in Las Vegas and well appreciated by the people using the facilities and the hawks managing to grab the easy pickings of pigeons.

A walk around the park was nice a pity the trad nearby seems to have goine and not many people here at the momemt perhaps we are too early, would be nice to see the park in its early days.
Sol De lune should have already sent answers a few weeks ago for our team

Staying in Las Vegas for a few days and cching around the city while we are here as well has seeing some of the sights

Logged as "SAM" which is a team of three Sol De Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax. Visiting the US as a team for the 2nd time, our mission to complete the ET series but before and after do some more exploring and geocaching along the way. Our tour starts around Barstow and a few days in Las Vegas before caching over to 29 Palms before hitting the ET Highway straying at Rachel and Tonapah.
Our second stage of our trip saw us doing a loop around Wyoming, Nebraska, Sth & Nth Dakota and Montana before finishing back in Los Angles, our finds for the trip totalled well over 4,000 geocaches.

US14 ET Highway Trip with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. Day 8. We decided to spend the day getting as many of the Las Vegas Virtual's that we have not had a chance to do before. All but one went smoothly. e-mails have been sent to the owners by Sol de Lune, so if there are any issues, please refer to them. There was a bit of confusion here, so I hope we have provided the correct answer. The park is a great area for exploring and spending time. Thanks.
