Walked for hours around downtown. After a visit to Liberty and Ellis Islands then a walk down Wall St, I walked along the water front to this cache. Stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge from the vantage point. Walked across that too. Thanks for the virtual. Containers are so hard to find in this busy city.Greetings from Australia.

Our third day in Manhattan and today the rain stops. Wonderful!!! This was our third out of nine boxes today. We were caching from the south of Manhattan to the middle of the central park. At noon the sun came out and the wheather was really wonderful. So the sightseeing and caching was great fun. ))

during our family-holidays in NY and Canada, we logged some caches, brought TB´s to NY and took some back to Europe! at one cache in Centralpark, we met cacher from Australia and Denmark!it was very exciting!TFTC

To start off a good weekend, I thought the cold weather was not an excuse for my gps to be grounded
So I set off to discover New York starting with Lower Manhattan and decided to guide my walks by the little things there were to find on the way
This made for a very long, but amazing walk through lower Manhattan, over the Brooklyn Bridge and back, and a final stroll through Chinatown and Little Italy

Visited this pier to enjoy the views, just before heading towards the Brooklyn Bridge!

So much water ... but very nice to see.

Unfortunately not all of the things around could have been visited. But we found a place, we immediately fell in love with. We stayed there for a while, enjoyed the place, the sun, and the view.

Very nice location! We came walking over the Brooklyn Bridge and went down to the river to take the ferry back to Brooklyn. Had to stop here to check out an old classic virtual before going to the ferry terminal Thanks!

Using the Greys Hop On Hop Off Bus was a good way to get around to some of these caches ! Stopped nearby for lunch - a nice Irish Pub - then visited the cache site. Gathered the answers which were sent to CO and permission to log received. A nice area to wander around !

That´s the #11 in the USA...
We found this cache at our eastcoast trip from NYC --> Washington D.C --> Miami. We had a great vacation in a great country and we were happy to did a little bit geocaching. It´s good for the stats. Greets from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.
Nach dem Besuch der Südspitze Downtowns haben wir uns auf dem Weg durch die "engen" Gassen des Finanzdistrikts Richtung Hafen gemacht. Der Blick auf die Brooklyn Bridge von dieser Position aus ist wirklich beeindruckend. Die Antworten lassen sich leicht finden. Leider ist der Pier derzeit in der Sanierung, so dass wir uns woanders einen Kaffee suchen mussten. Aber der Besuch des angrenzenden South Street Seaport lohnt sich. TFTC

Our last day in New York City and we decided to catch the sight seeing bus and collect a few around after the ferry across the harbour and get a few in the state of Jersey. Posted with CO approval...TFTC
