Wonder if we could ever unarchive this cache. It has a lot of history. Does anyone know where the cache and contents went to?
Cache has been removed as requested by the park's friends group.
Pity because this was the first cache in SA

I am archiving this cache since I have had a request by the vice president of the Friends of the Sandy Creek Conservation Park to remove the cache from the park. The cache will be removed in due course.
Had our friend Greg and his two young daughters - Claire and Aimee helping us find the cache today. A reasonably easy one to find and a good start to the day. Saw a huge reclining kangaroo and joey. They were in the shade and looked extremely comfortable and they must of decided we didn't pose a threat as they allowed us to pass by them at fairly close range. Took the CD and left a xmas ornament and blue soft toy.
Found It!
A nice easy walk to the cache, unfortunately, we left our cache item in the car. So we left a log, took nothing and left only footprints.

Found by Ray and Maya (Nomads) on Thursday the 23rd of August 2001 at 12:10PM. We found the cache without difficulty following the Honeyeater path as described. The cache was in good condition. We took the world map and left an Audio CD by Simple Minds. We also found on the ground nearby the cache a pair of sun glasses. If the owner would like to e-mail us at [email protected] we would be happy to return them. We returned to the carpark across country and passed by a family group of Kangaroos. Thanks Ray and Maya.
Found it @ 15:53 after crossing the Quarry on a rainy day, Fun, NOT ! Was a really nice stroll tho', lot's of skippys in the area. Left a Chupa Chup, 50c & a battery, couldn't resist the spacey water pistol NOTE: Don't approach from the East as it's private property and the owner is a bit territorial..
Found By Jeremy and Phil.
To follow the tracks or go cross country ? Why else would you want a GPS other than to be able to go as the crow flies straight to your target ? PS Make sure you set a waypoint of where you left the car

Had an enjoyable stroll thru Sandy Ck, approaching from the Youth Hostel side. We brought along a couple of kids, who found the cache with no problems, and have now added a GPS to their birthday wish list.

I'm not sure why, but my Magellan was giving fluctuating readings and I had some difficulty narrowing down the search area. As usual, my wife found it (I think I spend too much time looking at the gps and not the ground!)

Found the stash fairly easily after circling it once. Its all in good condition, I took the water because the temperature was HOT!.
Karl, I left a world map there but I couldn't quite seal the bag I put it in. If you are checking again you may wish to take another large seal bag.
Thanks for the challenge Karl.
Cheers,
Alex

Was on way back from Adle to Loxton (where I live) and thought It'd be good to find, which i did without any worries. Filled in log book and added a 3pin extention cord plug (only thing I had to give) and took nothing but your email address.

GDay from Martin & Eileen.
We are new users of GPS and we have a Garmin GPS 12. We found the stash after a little hunting It is still where you left it and still in good condition.
We swapped a Footrot Flats book for a little thermometer you bought in Gawler We will mark it and leave it on your behalf in our stash, when we get to make it.
We found Sandy Creek by your directions and only had problems with the paths, we could not find any directions to the wrens or honeyeaters. Thanks for a safe and easy find, it wil encourage us to do something simmilar in our neck of the woods.

Hey there, I am a NZer that went and found this cache on the 27th or 28th - can't quite remember sorry. T'was me that put the little Gawler thermometer in there and I took the pencil and pencil sharpener. Many thanks - it was quite cool finding a cache in another country and in the place it was, I felt like I was out in the outback! Steve [email protected]
So did you visit the chicken farm on your way in? All my chickens come from there. Theres an avocado farm also, which has me beat as I wouldnt have thought Sandy Creek was suitable for growing them. Shows how much I know.
