is there a should be un-archived button [?] ...... Smile

I remember when I did this, I actually ran around from the back of the building... I did not illegally park. Really. But the temptation will be there for a few others. Astro is a responsible cacher Smile

Gone damn. I nearly did this one last week. Got to within 100m but missed the correct turn off.

Leave our cache alone Mexicants.

I thought this one was perfectly safe - after being here for 5 years.. no complaints.... Of course you pick your times and it's not as if you had to hunt for it, it is an obvious wambam find and a bit of fun. Hazard lights on and all you say you are doing is helping the Koala across the road... then it ran off..... really.

I think you should put this one back.....please.

More clear skies – please.

Found 200810141600 Smile. I'd driven past this cache quite a number of times since I started geocaching nearly 5 years ago but never with the necessary time, safety equipment and/or vehicle to stop for it

Returning from a work conference in Geelong Nifty Nev and I were suitably equipped and able to stop as safely as is possible at this location and found the cache after poking around for a few minutes

Sorry Team Piggy but the road reserve of a freeway on-ramp is not a legal or suitable place for a cache. It's a shame since this has been here for 5 years and many have found it in the past but wearing my work hat instead of my geocaching one I could not responsibly allow it to remain in situ Sad

Cheers Team Piggy

Circled the cache for about 20 minutes, just not looking closely enough! Crafty little hide, co-ords were spot on. Light traffic, thanks to it being Sunday. Would hate to have done this during the week. Isn't it ment to be Deere? Thanks for the cache. ZZ7

01-Sep-08
Nicely hidden, was looking all over the place, but found and as usual once found it was " Oh there it is ". Taught Geo wife to enter co-ords in GPS for this one, also how to " GOTO".

Found by Mr Emu & Demon Boy @ 9:20 a.m., GAFF1 http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/GAFF . #2 of 43 on our big "get to 500 or bust" day.

A nice easy cache that we have driven by dozens of times in the past year - on my way to the airport. Just never had a chance to stop before today. Nice to have Demon Boy with me to provide some cover - you know how kids need regular pits stops? Thanks for the cache Team Piggy.

DNF! We searched GZ thoroughly for 20 mins, but no luck. Will watch this one to see if it reappears.

21-Feb-08
Can't see it! The strong evening sun made searching difficult. I'll try again someday.

13-Jan-08
Found this one on a trip from Hoppers Crossing to home in ballarat...4 out of 4 for today!!! There wasn't much traffic around today so we pulled completely off the road...the tyre tracks indicating we weren't the first to watch our parking!!! Quickly had the cache in hand with the new etrex vista HCx taking us right to GZ.

Took: Nothing
Left: Necklace

Thanks for this quick driveby Team Piggy.

Found by Bob at 1325

Parking certainly could be a problem with this one. I was on my motorbike, and I managed to park quite close (just behind a dead car which looked to have been recently dumped at the edge of the road) and, after a short walk, the cache turned out to be a quick find Smile.

Found by 'kormok' with 3 grandchildren. Difficulty with parking - ground a bit muddy but the kids loved it and the tractors were a great hit. Cache a bit damp but ok. Took Dinosaur and left a little bear. As we are very new to geocaching this find was a terrific thrill. Thanks.

We knew where it was, but it was another story about how we got there! Once we had parked, the cache was found easy enough. Cache container remains wet and dirty. Cleaned out the best we could and placed remaining contents inside a clip lock bag inside the container. Hopefully this will keep things a bit drier. A couple of items have bit the dust though and unfortunately we had to remove an almost empty hotel shampoo bottle and a very rusted dog shaped sharpener. TFTC. Cheers.
T: Mondo figure
L: Mini Tennis Ball and Small frog figurine.

Found @ 11:30 with Next! and Clarks Mob 5th of 21 in our caching expedition to the other side. Dificult to find a suitable place to park so we drove up close to GZ. The others were looking in the procles so I left them there while I trianglulated the position & retrieved the cache. The cache was a bit damp and had a strong odour all of it's own.

Parking is interesting here but also that makes the muggle factor zip at this spot.Quickly got the tricky spot and did the paperwork ,tnln and thanks to Team Piggy for the cache.

An interesting place to park but easily found. Inexperienced cachers should not have much problem either! T Caribiner, L Seeds. Thanks

03-May-06
Dropped by the cache site this afternoon in response to Piggy's request. Found the cache after a short search. Hard to say if it is still in the original hiding spot as the trees and shrubs have grown a lot in three years. The cache was in a place that might have left it at risk of discovery by roadside maintenance staff cleaning out rubbish and dead bushes, so moved it a short distance (with Piggy's blessing). Coincidentally, that also placed it closer to our GZ on the day. The cache is well hidden from casual observation, but experienced cachers should recognise the signs.

Had a long look but no joy. Maybe I need a brighter torch.
Might return during the day for another look.

We called past this cache during our quick attack on the West.

Found the cache whilst the car 'cooled down'.

The cache had about 6mm of water in it so we drained it and covered it better when we left.

The log book is fine as it was in the bag.

The log book is also only 1/2 full because you can always turn it over and write on the back of each sheets and double its life, Smile

Tnanks for the cache team piggy

After putting off finding this one for a while now, I finally found a quiet traffic day to be able to get to GZ.

After a short search, and with a problem with my GPS software, I eventually found the cache which was reasonably exposed.

Found by Roma and Max.
Our 2nd attempt at this one and today it was an easy find!. Pity about all that rubbish in the vicinity.
At least we knew we could park right at GZ, this time.
We took a Toy Periscope and left a Mondo Figurine.
Thanks Team Piggy,

Found at approx 1815 by mobile phone torchlight (yes torchlight from a mobile phone)... A great hide and I think I had it easier being at night - then again, wouldn't know how good it looks in the middle of the day however the cars passing by would probably take more notice of you???

Had to make a quick trip to Ballarat for work, so why not grab a couple of caches along the way (would have liked to have got more, no time), found this one without to much trouble. TNLN

Thanks Team Piggy

Our first frind of the day with CrackerGirl and our second attempt at this cache. Our first attempt was foiled by local workers becoming very interested in what we were doing, the workers were still here today but no-one paid any attention to us as they were working at the other end of the site.
Easy find except for a couple of prickle wounds from looking in the wrong spot while waiting for the GPS to settle
It is a shame that with all he rubbish gathering in the garden it is starting to resemble a bit of a tip
Took Donkey
Left Hose Fitting
Thanks Team Piggy

I found this one today in the company of Team Crackers. This was my second attempt at this one, the first was foiled by nearby nosey workers.

Found this one on my way to a course for work. Had an hour or two to fill in. Found the right place to park easily enough but had a little trouble locating the said cache, but found it I did.
Took a pencil sharpener and left a deer (appropriately I think)
Thanks team piggy. It's all good fun!

On went the hazard lites and on to the nature strip we went. a nice find, i really wanted one of those green toys.
TNLN Thanks.

Towing a 4x4 off-road camper trailer we had only one opportunity to stop for this cache..
Passing muggles didn’t seem interested in a 4x4 and camper stopped, and with a quick search the words “Oh-Deer†I’ve found it echoed.
Many thanks Team Piggy for the cache, lucky there was no John Deer in the cache.
Taken green ball – Left periscope toy.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the “Oh-Deer can you make me another coffee†Clan.

Oh Deer, there seems to be a few cars around here!
Took: Lizard, Left: 2 Beatles.

18-Mar-05
Groaned as I approached this one and realised where it was. The traffic was thick and I pretty well resigned myself that I would have to drive by this one. There aren’t a lot of opportunities to retrace your steps around here. Then as I rounded the corner I spotted a roadside opportunity, and being in The ULTIMATE all-terrain Vehicle - a Govt car Big Grin , I assume it didn’t raise any concerns when I suddenly went bush towards the large structure nearby. After that it was easy. TNLN. Thanks Piggy.

19-Feb-05
Dropped in on the way down to Sleepy Hollow for AWG Walk 38 the following day. A relatively easy find (about 10 minutes) at 16:20.

Parking is tougher here then it is in town Wink!!!

Took a pink octopus, left a stick-on lizard.

Thanks Team Piggy.

11-Feb-05
Had to leave the Chicks in the car for this one -a bit too dangerous for the little tikes! I got out & thought this will be fairly easy! -wrong! My GPS had me nearly 20 metres from the cache in dusky light -not great! Any how I called muzza for assistance, and whilst waffling on, I started walking away from what I thought was GZ, straight on to the real GZ.
Took: miniature gun, Left: rubber ball thingy
Thanks team Piggy

Found this one with ease after deciding which route to take. We finally decided to park on the ramp rather than walk from a more suitable parking spot.

On my journey back into town I stopped to complete this cache. parked on the verge near a overpass and walked in. Found the cache quickly, left a card-bug and a badge. Had to rush back to town for a dinner engagement. Thanks for the view although up north most of our vehicles are even bigger.

24-Oct-04
Found at 4:50pm. After a visit to family at Werribee, half the Rabbitto team has stayed for a relax, while the rest of us + one have whipped out for a few quick caches. We circled like vultures back and forth a couple of times but decided on the walk rather than the drive-by.

Thanks Team Piggy from D,S,H & J B-A. Took Parachute Man, left Octopus.

Found at 115 on 2 October 2004 by 4 Men and a Lady.

Very clever play on words for this cache. Nice quick and easy one to find. The real challenge was doing this one in safety.

Left Nova Bumper Sticker

Took Yo Yo

many Thanks Team Piggy

Found it @ approx. 17:35

A nice and easy find.
Bit more difficult finding somewhere to park though!!

TNLN

Thanks team piggy.

25-Sep-04
Early start 'coz half the team wants to go to the last footy match of the year later today. Found at 0815; easy find. Beware of where you sit while completing your log - cannot recommend the ant's nest! Thousands of drive-bys as we logged.

Took: Stabilo
Left: Water pistol, balloon siren

Thanks Team Piggy, clever plays on words - all makes sense when you find the cache!

25-Sep-04
Found at 8:50pm, our last cache for the day. A quick find on the way home from our western suburbs caching marathon. This was our 12th find today, thrashing our previous personal best. TNLN and after finding somewhere to turn around, headed off home to bed.
Thanks Team Piggy!

12-Sep-04
Quick and easy find.
Took tiny plastic gem and left a Yo-Yo! Big Grin

09-Sep-04
7th cache of the day. We all had our ideers as to what and where this one might be, but it wasn't until we were right adjacent it we figured out the green deer was all about. We parked away away where it was safe and walked in. I was headed to one spot, brother STABILO to another with mother STABILO bringing up the rear. Before I could even bend over to begin to look, brother STABILO was shouting "Found it". Took Fart bag, left 'STABILO' Hi-lighter.

10-Jul-04
I've wanted to log this one for some time--it just sounded so challenging. This was our third of 18 caches for the day in our muzza-inspired western suburbs assault. We parked at the appointed place and started searching. We laid hands on it at 1025 after a few minutes of searching. I had my idea of why the cache is so named, but muzza pointed out the real reason. Doh!

IN: Parachute man
OUT: Reflecting hand

12-Jun-04

Nice diversion from the hway. Talk about big boys toys and so many of them. Took playing cards and left a rear end reflector. Look out for the model aeroplanes. I was actually dived bombed by one of these when I walked back to the car, parked in the JD Bvd. I said “Oh Deer†(Yeah, right).
Thanks Piggy, clear skies, John

11-Jun-04
Another place I drive past everyday.
Very wet this morning when looking. Found within a couple of minutes.
Lots of wildlife watching from the other side of the fence ( I'm sure they wont tell ).

Cool spot.

Took - Duck
Left - Pencil Sharpener

13-May-04
Our first geocache and well hidden it was.
Attracted stange looks from the cat, deer and from other passers by.
Took a bull pin and left a purple jewel.
Thanks for the fun.

22-Mar-04
Big ones small ones, some with four some with eight wheels but all green. Never seen a green deer before, next thing I suppose would be a yellow cat with no wheels.

15-Feb-04
Found by Ray and Maya at 2:20PM on the 15th of Feb. Our sixth local cache for the day. We have passed this cache for nearly 12 months now but never had the time to stop. An easy find again. We took a terminal block and left something green with large wheels. Thanks from The Nomads.

17-Jan-04
As Deb had already found this one I got it. A clever use of words. Found at 14.09, swapped matches for a hippo. Lots of traffic cache still well hidden. Thanks for this one.

23-Dec-03
Realised I forgot to log this after comparing notes with Spindoc Bob. Better late than never. Wink

23-Dec-03
Took some time to find, but once again Dragon's Pearl won the day. Xesist and I congratulated her on being the most successful for the afternoon. Last cache for the day that saw us knock over five. Was going to leave a travel bug here, but the small cache (and an amusing cache item Wink) prevented his deposit.

14-Dec-03
Found it at 14:25, Second of two for the day.

A lovely day for caching before we were into the City to go and see Queen's "We Will Rock You". Parked the car not too far away and in no time we were at GZ.
A short search later the cache was in our hands.

This cache was perfect as we have always been wanting to stop and take some photos of the area to send back to the Wife's brother as he is a Farmer in Scotland.

Tool: Glasses repair kit.
Left: A toy car (I Think)

Thanks Team Piggy for the Opportunity...

10-Dec-03
My second cache in Australia - just over from NZ for the Great Victoria Bike Ride (and was great fun) which finished a couple of days ago. Was a new experience to locate a cache near heavy traffic - just goes to prove the anonymity in large crowds!
Guessed from the title i would be looking for a site with traction, and this was confirmed.
Took the F1 racer (and drove it to an offset cache (B.E.A.R. in Christchurch)
Left a paradise duck

Thanks Team Piggy

15-Sep-03
What a weird place to put a geocache! Difficult to get to, nowhere to park, next to a freeway in an industrial area...Oh well..found it after a 10 minute search. Felt very conspicuous, but people going past at 100kph probably didn't notice.

15-Sep-03
Oh- Deer, That perhaps my dear cacher was the reason for its placement Wink Hence the name Drive by ! As well as other deer facts..

Night had set in by the time we arrived at this location. Parked the car 10 metres from the cache. With a torch in hand started the search. After a 15 mins search I found the cache at 1820. Swapped a Glasses repair kit for a safty alarm.
Thanks for the cache team piggy. My 9th cache for the day.

02-Jun-03
A last shot at caching for this trip - pity it was just on dark, but that just added to the difficulty level Smile Everyone was too busy heading home to worry about a car parked on the side of the road, so I was able to search in peace. Took a Sprite keyring and left a mini carabiner - Cheers Piggy!

26-Apr-03
After driving past yesterday on the way to other caches we decided to return to log this one today. Number two parked a wee way away with hazards flashing to distract passes by, whilst number one went a hunting. No exchange made. Thanks team piggy.

21-Apr-03
Found at 6:55pm, like most others so I read – by torch light. It all makes sense now, once you look around the area. Swapped a US$1 (www.wheresgeorge.com) (out) for a Canadian sticker/patch (in).

12-Apr-03
Found at 12.55pm after a 15min search and after 2 tow trucks stopped looking for business. This one was well hidden and I must have provided an entertaining sight to the frequent passers by.
Took an small radio and left Where's George.
Thanks Team Piggy

Dear John,
Much easier to locate in daylight, and what a perfect day it was for caching, sunny and clear. A mysterious electrical fault in the car dissappeared once the cache was located? Took the Travel Bug-Disney flag, and left personal alarm.
Thanks Piggy.

Biggles Bear.

05-Apr-03
Found this one after a quick look around. I was hoping none of the Boys in Blue would pass by while I was there. Luckily, if any did, they didn't stop.

I didn't take anything but left a magnetic key holder. Thanks, Team Piggy, for the cache.

02-Apr-03
Dear John,
Tried to find your cache tonight, but it was just too dark and wet. Will try again in daylight, hopefully with better weather

Muwwhhahahahahahahaaaa. who said it would be easy??

I hope the Deer didnt startle...

01-Apr-03
Just a note....I did attempt this one but the boys in blue sitting nearby wondering why i'd parked on the shoulder and was running around the bushes was something I didnt want to deal with. I will go back soon.

Found by Mary & David at 1330. Nothing wrong with a drive-through at all - beats a hard slog up a hill any day. We weren't going to be #7 today, beaten only by GeoCoopers, who did have a small advantage. Felt quite at home seeing the sign nearby. Took mini disc for Smurf and left a radio/torch from a 2 Dogs cache in Sydney. We'd set the TB in this cache loose on its Australian travels, so left it for a trip to Ballarat later today if our intel is correct. Thanks to Team Piggy and GeoCoopers for the fun on Saturday, and for the cache. See you again soon.
