Found with the help of the hint. GPS wasnt doing us any favours - either the sign has moved (!!) or the coordinates are out by a good number of meters. Nice to have a break on our way to Alice all the same. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Found during a trip from Adelaide to Kulgera, across the Madigan Line in the northern Simpson Desert to Birdsville and back with e.gregory1. Interesting to see that these remote caches continue to attract armchair loggers (see attached image of the genuine finds since 23 July 2021). Thanks for the cache Kevin Ward!
This was hard to find as coords are 75 m out. This needs to be fixed up so time isn't wasted here and people aren't wandering around in circles. TFTC. Found after doing a camel trek in the Simpson Desert.
Brad and Janet have finally got the new Big Landy and are on their way on their outback first trip. They have the small house on wheels as well. The itinerary will vary depending on the weather and the condition of the tracks. The planned trip will be Adelaide - Port Augusta - Coober Pedy - William Creek - Oodnadatta - Eringa Waters - My Dare - Old Andado - Madigan line through to Birdsville. Then ideally through to Inamincka via Cordillo Downs - Strezlecki Track - Farina and then south towards home. But only time will tell. And of course along the way there may be a few geocaches found
This was one we found on our way across the Simpson Desert. A great trip. This one was not where the hint said or even where the GPSr suggested. But it was where it had to be!

After almost 9 weeks on the road, it was time to head back home to Adelaide.
On this trip I have safely travelled through four states/territories and somehow managed to avoid the everchanging and unpredictable Covid hotspots, lockdowns, quarantine and other restrictions.
I started from Adelaide at the beginning of July and travelled on my own for 3 1/2 weeks through outback NSW into Queensland and up the coast to Cairns where I met up with FeatherWaite and another friend from Hobart. For the next 3 weeks we travelled up the tip of Cape York and Thursday Island and back to Cairns, then headed our separate ways. I then travelled west across the bottom of the Gulf to Roper Bar and Mataranka with a few side trips before heading south again.
I have visited some fantastic places along the way, particularly in the national parks and other remote natural areas, and Iâ€ve seen a range of wildlife. I've also managed to find quite a few caches along the way!
As is my way, I got extremely sidetracked on the way home. I noticed two new, high-terrain unfound caches near Finke. I've travelled through there quite a few times before and enjoy the area, so I thought, 'why not?'.
After picking up the two FTFs this morning, I decided that I might just go a little further to check out Old Andado. Then I realised I wasn't actually that far from the Mac Clark (Acacia peuce) Conservation Reserve, which I'd been wanting to see, so I headed out there, finding this cache on the way.
It looks like the sign at the listed coordinates was removed some time ago, a fact obviously missed by the string of armchair loggers (such as R3golo, lovric and matsi_007) over the last couple of years! At the new sign (S25 06.614 E135 25.617), I soon found a replacement cache left by Oyseka in July, but not as the hint suggested. Just to be sure, and with quite a bit of effort, I checked the location alluded to in the hint. As I expected, there was nothing there, but I did leave a little message there for anyone who cares to look.
Thanks auskiller for the cache.

Found on our dodge the locked borders trip. We were meant to go to the Hamilton musical in Sydney and decided to make our dream of buying a tear/square drop camper come true. We caught a few caches on route to pick up our van in Nyngan, but the night before we were meant to enter Sydney, two COVID cases were logged, and we decided to give our tickets away and move over into Victoria before all the borders locked down again.Sure as the next day NSW was red, we holidayed with some friends around Victoria, wine tasting and caching as we went. We had planned to cross back into NSW before hitting the Oodnadatta track and then the Binns track. However, NSW was now red, but there was a 3-day period where we could cross from Victoria to SA. We managed to get all the way to Dalhousie springs but then SA were about to go into a 7-day lockdown, and we crossed the border at Mt Dare to continue our desert trip on the Binns track. This was one of the best trips of our life.Replaced the Geocache as there was nothing at GZ.
Sorry our first DNF cache. While discovering the Binns Track. Looked at both roadside signs came up empty.
Yay!!! Took some newbies caching on our Central aus trip. They loved it! So exciting to be starting our journey down to the Simpson.
Traveling on a Central Australia adventure with the awesome K8tybee. On the hunt for as many australian counties as we can get! (And hoping to make it across the Simpson Desert this time). Thanks to everyone who keeps these awesome caches maintained. Such a brilliant trip. Tftc

Well we have ventured out to the Alice experience event and now it is over and it is time to head home.
However there is a few caches to find along the way.
This is one we found along the way as we headed back along the Binns and Oodnadatta tracks.
The co-ords are out and it needed some tender loving care so we freshened it up and replaced the container with a more robust one.
This should hold it for a long time
Now lets go look at some trees before bedding down at the Old Andado Homestead for the night.
It cost $10 a head at the campground at the homestead but the donkey was fired up and the showers were nice and warm.
The caretaker was a great bloke and he gave me some dollars to ask for a couple of lighters to be sent up from Mt Dare.
We loved this track.

Found whilst in the area for work. Having to drive past this site, it was only natural that I stopped to grab the cache. This one took a little longer than expected. Recent rains meant that the contrast between the red sand and the bright green grasses and wildflowers was fantastic.
First for the day and it's always good to start with a find .
Left Mt Dare this morning and stopped by Old Andado on our way north. This place marked the turnoff point for our trek onto the Madigan Track .
The road along here has been like a highway .
Glad we read some logs when we stopped, else we wouldn't have found this one . TNLNSL.
Thanks Kevin Ward (and markndee for the heads up).

We found this one about 50m astray from even Markndees coords. I have added our readings, but the knowledge that it is a magnetic micro should nail it pretty well. There are only 3 possibilities [^]. I took the Markndee pathtag, replacing it with one of my own. Cheers
Just a reminder note to say we replaced this cache a couple of years ago and it is now a magnetic cache located well above the ground. We got no response from auskilller1, so are only able to write it in a log, sorry you didn't spot the log lostmonster [:-)]
DNF, passing through today and there is no sign of a Rock Carin, and no sign at all of the cache.
With all the rain that has gone through recently it would have been washed away for sure.
May need to check auskiller when yoy can.

What a great location and the drive from Alice Springs was rather exciting. Many TFTC.
Found during lunch on second day of road inspections trip. Still can't believe I get paid to inspect our awesome country. Thanks
Well, we arrived here about 11am. there was clearly nowhere for a cache like this to be hidden. We hadn't seen Geotrecaz note of 20/8/12. So we thought since it is so nice to find a cache on these long desert drives that we would replace it with what we hoped may be more lasting.
We had with us a magnetic cache probably regarded as a micro with just enough room for a log, but plenty of log room, should last a good while out here. We've put it up higher and hope it can hang on through the strong winds. The hint still applies but the co-ords are slightly different...though once you are there it will be fairly obvious...but hey, who wants a DNF in the desert!
I shall enter the new coordinates, they are only about 50 metres different.
By the way, it was well worth the trip to the nearby Max Clark Reserve to see what a difference it makes when trees are fenced off from stock and people! And there's a book to sign your name!

Came by here and hoped to find it and/or replace it, however there was absolutely no sign of a pile of rocks or any cache to be seen.
Decided not to replace it as the whole area is subject to flooding and inundation, with no trees in sight.
It would have been great to have a find in this remote area, but it will have to wait for another day.

It appears from the logs that this needs a look see. Would the owner please check the cache and log the results
hi everybody,
I just came back from our trip along the andado track. I was right on GZ however, there was not even a trace of the cache ... it's really a pity because caches in the desert are great! on my next trip I will hide some of them. all the best, beaki

Found contents scatered amongst rocks, replace the bag and the log book. Replaced with less obvious rock pile. TNLN TFTC
i was no 4 in an 11 vehicle convoy heading to old andado so pulled out and it isnt hard to miss the carne. unfortunatly muggled but bits and pieces about. so in 2 minutes i put it back as best i could. i love these remote rarely visited caches, into quality not quantity. i like seeing these oldies live on. are you an old ignatian?
Found after we had to repair my Landcruiser at Old Andado HS. We were heading to Birdsville via the Madigan Line. Thanx
Well we found it although it was a bit dilapidated. We put it back together and re hid it

"Young Ones" find. Hot and windy. Nice trees nearby. Took nothing, left nothing.
