As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Saw a couple of DNF's, so dropped in on my way home. I'm afraid it's gone. This area has a lot more people traffic now than when the cache was hidden.
DNF @ 2pm.
Searched and failed to find. Finally ran out of time and had to make our retreat
We will return as usual to an Embi cache!!! Every Embi cache I have ever tried has required a second visit!!! I don't give up though. Asta La Vista Baby, I'll be Baaaaack!!

After at least 20 minutes searching the obvious gz I came up empty-handed. I thoughtt I checked every cranny and also a couple of things nearby but no luck. Hopefully it is me!
I have found this cache as part of JADE004, but have now created my own separate account (therefore I am not shown in the log book under this username).
Nice place to put the cache, but you need a new log book because it was very full when we retrieved it.

After an earlier recon visit (GeoTodd goes to the nearby child care centre), this was a relatively quick find. GeoMum had first go, but failed with her fear of heights. GeoDad quickly investigated, and found straight away.

Just before dropping into have dinner with Mrs. Embi I noticed this one on my radar. Maybe because I was at Head Office just 250 metres away!!!
Not often I get to cache and work - and this time in civvies too!
Anyway, thanks Embi - see you at the Prom. TNLN GAFF1

PS Still a little room on the log sheet just not where it was intended to be written on and I didn't have anything with me to leave a new one.

I love these little micros especially when I find them easily. This one needs a new log embi
Searched all over but continued my poor form with microcaches. Interesting location though. Thanks anyway.
It took me ages to find this one. And now I've found it I'm not sure why. I must have looked in the hiding spot 10 times!.
The log is full, with mine being the third entry on the front of the log.
TNLNSL.
Thanks EMBI.

Dear Embi,
I logged your cache today at 4:00pm as the twentysecond cache of thirty four on our Ballarat and Beyond Cache Bash with Dak and Embi. Dropped off by yourself, whilst you executed a quick delivery, Dak and I wandered down to try and find the cache (or rather Dak came down to watch me try to find the cache as he had found it previously). I searched the obvious spots, when for the second time today, both on Embi caches, both with Dak watching, I found the hiding spot but missed the cache . With Dak's assist I made the find just as Embi pulled back up. Thanks for the cache.
Kind Regards,
D B-A

Dad found this one rather easily, Just as i was about to search underneath. A great little spot, its a wonder its remained so long with the recent developments
Found (at about 5:40pm), back for a second attempt. We seem to be getting better at figuring out what to look for. Didn’t need to recharge so we signed the log and left a gold coin. Very cleverly hidden we thought. Thanks Embi.
Found at 12:40pm Accompanied by GeoDano & Highrod.
7th out of 11 finds on our trip to Balarat today!
TNLN, Sined Log.
Really enjoyed the cache but I must say the
Difficulty:1 Star Terrain:1 Star rating is meant to be wheelchair accesible but I think that would be an imposibility ( not that I am complaining )

Found at 4.55pm GAFF1. This caused us a bit of bother. To begin with we were given a hint by BB#1, which we thought was a red herring and as our GPSr was pointing elsewhere to begin with, we searched for about 5 minutes in the completely wrong location. Back to the original spot and another pass over and still nothing. Then a casual check under something and there it was. Thanks embi for a deceptive hide tn/ln.
Found in the company of SPY-KIDS and Dogs. This was a quick find and the dogs had nice drink at this spot. Now this gives me an idea for a cache with a battery charger.
Thanks Embi.
Thanks Embi.

Found at 11.15am our 3rd cach for the day.
This one had us very frustrated we were looking every where we just couldn't find it. We finally focused our efforts to the other end and had our hands on it in 3 seconds flat.
I bet this place could tell a few stories!

After settlling into Ballarat at the days end we needed to recharge our system what better way to do that other than to do the Recharge cache.
The cache was found after a short search and it appears the structure may date back to the goldfield days.
Many Thanks to Embi for taking us to this cache, very much enjoyed.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the never say die Clan.

This cache took us quite a while to find and it was only that the sun was shining in the right spot at the time that we found it.
Needed a recharge so took a couple of AA's
Left a gold coin and a couple of big silver ones too.
Thanks Embie

Found with dogged61 but had to take 'husband to be' to prove that they exist.
Out geocaching with FirelightTec, who found it after 10 minutes of looking and a slip into the creek (me). With the rain we get in this area, the container may get a bit damp this winter.
Took 2, left 2 fresher ones.

On a previous visit we spent over an hour looking for this one. There are so many places to look and we didn’t have the best EPE. This time I was again at the point of bailing when I had a look in a place that I thought that I already had and, behold, the cache.
Thanks for the challenge embi.

Found at 1115.
As previously noted there are quite a few places to look here but we found the cache after ruling out pretty much all of the spots...
There seemed to be some room left in the cache so we left 2x AA batteries in there... Some nimble fingers may be required to get the cache notes out now as it's quite full and my fingers and attempts to retrieve the batteries were unsuccessful...
Thanks embi!!!

Had some work in this area so I decided to check out this cache. Searched for about 10 mins. Many obvious hidey holes, but it wasn't in any of them. I suspect this one might have been washed away in the recent floods.
Found by caughtatwork and brother-in-law at 11:30am.
This was our first cache for the day. We rocked up to the cache area and despaired when we saw the area that we might have to search.
After a moment I had a moment of inspiration and ended up standing almost on top of the cache. What a brilliant piece of luck for our first find for the day. We had stocked up on batteries for our trip to Ballarat so TNLNSL.
Beware. The large gum tree that is located close to GZ has a bee hive. There was significant buzzing, but no attacking. If you are allergic to bees, I recommend you send someone else to find the cache.
Thanks for what could have been a useful cache except for or preplanning.

Drove around in a bit of a circle before spotting the obvious GZ. Found the cache high and dry after squeching through some mud. Cache was well stocked with recharges, since I didn't need one, I TNLNSL.
Easy find this one, didn't need a recharge and the cache was full with 6 recharges.
Thanks for the cache.

Tried to find this in the rain. Searched for a few minutes but was getting toooo wet. I knew this was meant to be easy, but not in the rain. Sorry, I let the side down.

A nice easy one to start the day with. By our count this is our 50th found cache. GPS spot on.

After crawling all over the possible hiding spots, we found the cache in a spot checked already, without noticing the cache hiding there. Didn't take anything. A few people were out wandering around, but noone walked past to see us making idiots of ourselves.
This is our second attempt at this cache. First was back early in January on the way from Ballarat to Geelong, bad light and no torch with us meant we had to return.
Today there were more cars around but it was still a fairly easy find. TNLN
Thanks Embi, shame we didn't need a recharge

My parents live in Dereel (just down the road), but this is our first Ballarat cache. Decided to get at least one this weekend. Drove directly east from Magpie through a pine plantation and there it was! Found the cache after looking in the more than one star locations. Recharged myself.
The item may have local significance, but it's certainly not unusual. They're all over the place. It's going to be a liability for someone in the future.
Thanks Embi

I, too, would like to know the history of the structure. I looked in what I thought were the obvious places, and came up dry. A closer examination in more "one-star" places revealed the cache.
There was a 50c coin in the cache that Emu-M doesn't have in her collection, so we snaffled it and left some extra recharge in its place.
A novel idea for a cache; and there have been times that I could have needed the recharge, but the Chuppa Chup from "Trex's Adventures No. 1" served that purpose this time. Thanks embi.

started off in the drizzling rain but fined up by the time we got to this one.
there were trolls around making plenty of noise searching low. had a look a bit higher and found it.

Recharge has been recharged. Thanks to all who have contributed. Please no more donations. Feel free to use the contents if you need to.
Found in the company of Muzza and Alan-san. Muzza found the cache while we were charging around the undergrowth. I had heaps of battries so no swap was made at this time.
Thanks Embi for the cache what a great idea.

Found at 10:25am with Muzza and Kiwideb. After our usual scramble and false alarms, Muzza came up tops - well done Muzza. No swap made, recharge is available for the next geocacher. Thank you Embi for the great idea.
Found after a brief search, it seemed like an obvious location but we still had a few possibilities to exhaust. Took nothing, left nothing, thanks EMBI.

No need for a recharge as all our Ni-MH batteries had been on charge overnight in our hotel room in Ballarat. But of course we still stop to find this cache. Thanks Embi.

Found by Mary & David at 1245. A pleasure to set out in sunshine and enjoy the scenery. Some green showing after the recent rain, plus the autumn foliage. We knew this place as we had been to a RAAF reunion function here a couple of years back, and a nephew did his degree here. The cache was an embi classic, showing us something special. Took nothing, as we didn't need a recharge, and left a coin. Thanks, embi.
