Looks like the cache has been roasted. It's a good spot, so we'll take it off line until we can replace it.
Yes we found this cashe and are sorry to report there is a major problem. It was hard to log the visit as the log book was only the metal spiral with no pages. The local Fire Brigade have done a "cool burn" for fuel reduction and this cashe is "toast". Found a 6" rule and a spring type of thing. As can be expected TNLN. Left everththing there in case others come looking.
found with help from Ian & Penny, Juzmac & DJcache after the crowd had departed Myrtleford .... Follow me, says DJ .... yeah, well it did look like fun, but after all the tracks we drove on over the weekend, that was the only one I heard "You're not going up there Dad!!" .... so I drove up the correct way while Ian & Penny, Juzmac & DJcache had some fun running over the cache .
lovely relaxing cache in another beautiful high country town (I love these places, i'll definately be back)
took heart badge, left 2 Animals.
thanks heaps Maccamob.... now, to attempt your city micro's ......

Whether you jog, walk or drive. . . well Maccamob you can now add 4WD to the cache description.
The 4WD track to this cache was the only one on the entire weekend that had Penny hanging on to the panic bar for dear life. (Well we could have followed energiser, but it wouldn't have been as much fun.)
Took a Harry Potter keyring. (Watch out for a "Muggle Ring" travel bug when it is released.)
Left some Stickers and a Koala Clip.
Thanks Maccamob.

Found by DJcache and family on History, Mystery, High Country.
Last cache for a great trip. I was not expecting to see low range first gear again after airing up in Myrtleford, but leading Ian & Penny and Juzmac in by an alternate route we most certainly did.
With Lynne confining access to the easier tracks the exciting but dangerous ones were left for others (in bulldozers or trailbikes) and we climbed to the top passing an old mineshaft on the way.
A great spot that I have never visited despite driving past for 23 years. Thanks Maccas (the geocalais didn't come this way)
Left Chrome Microcare Took kids watch
Left "Live life in low range TB"

Found today after leaving the HMHC event area. We topped up the tyres and our tanks and headed to the cache area with DJCache, Team energizer and Ian & Penny. We definately took the more interesting way in which would be terrain 4.5 - 5 territory and basically drove straight past the final location...
Fantastic cache maccamob!

After an exhausting day yesterday (doing the Gravity 12 hour mountain biking race, near Rosewhite), we managed to leave the campground (most people were getting towed out, the whole thing was a muddy quagmire), and make our way up the road to this cache. Everything was drippy and wet, with low clouds lurking around through most of the valley. Enjoyed not having to walk far to get the cache. As we were walking back to the car, a young kangaroo went bounding across the road in front of us, making a noise like a strangled goat. It's friends stayed where they were, eyeing us off from the undergrowth.
Thanks maccamob.
Thanks maccamob.
Found in company with Team Crackers on our way to Bright.
You have to love this area.

Found 8:55, our first for the morning and a great place to look down on the morning fog in the valleys. In typical Biggles Bear fashion the easy route into GZ was not found until he was exiting GZ [B)]
Took tea light candles and left GloStick, Thanks Maccamob.

Found by Ray and Maya at 11:00AM on the 13th of June. A nice easy find to start the day's caching. Nice views through the trees. We took the bells and left a flower arranger. Thanks from The Nomads.
Found at 3:30pm after visiting Bright to photograph autumn leaves. Realised that Myrtleford has quite good scenery as well.
The drive to the top was relatively easy, although I won't recommend doing it with a 2WD in wet conditions.
After getting the cordinates, it was a short walk to the final point and the cache was located very quickly.
Lovely spot. Thanks for bringing us here.

Some of the trees are just starting to turn now so it won’t be long before they are at their best for colour.
The road up is very dry and dusty with a couple spots that resembled bull dust. Great views from the top.
Took the junior astronaut badge.
Left IBM Cable thingy.

On the way back home from the long haul up Feathertop with the AWG, I thought I'd have a shot at this one. The dEM clue helped considerably and soon I was at yet another fantastic view at this wonderful area of the State. The clues led me straight to GZ and the cache was an easy find at 12:15, particularly knowing Maccamob's MOs for these type of caches.
EuDes herself chose the toy Timon and we replaced that with, you guessed it, a Lost Kingdom Yowie.
I love these caches that take one to places that one would not otherwise visit. Thanks Maccamob !!!

We didnt even try to find a road up to this one, just parked on the main road and walked up. Our geo dog Baxter came with us on this one, and loved the walk to the top, his mum however is a little less fit, but I still enjoyed the walk, and the views were amazing.
Took pulling strings and left Timone (meerkat from the Lion King movie) toy.
We were going to move onto another cache in the area but found an injured Kyte (small bird of prey) and decided that it's life was more important. Plan to resume our caching of the area next week end.

When we arrived at the Mytleford caravan park I got my clipboard with "Turn over a new leaf" on top, then I looked for my caching bag - oops! - I had left it at home. After studying a 1/250 000 map and the Mytleford town map we set out for a stroll to the look-out. Bingo, I had the cache co-ords and quickly worked out that I had to go 160m due east to find the cache so pacing off down the hill I arrived in the vicinity of the cache. I looked around and said "I'll look there first" Bingo! No exchanges.
It's too late to help Muzza, but the road to the top is accessed via Halls Rd. I enjoyed the view, worked out the final coordinates, and proceeded to the GZ. The GPSr was acting up, but once it settled it led me straight to the cache.

I made a couple of attempts to find a road to this one. The first turned out to be just a walking track, and the second was not much better. I opted to walk up as it was only about 600 metres from the highway. I parked the car and headed for the start of the walk. At the beginning was a sign including a map showing a suitable route to drive. As I was already out of the car with my backpack strapped on, I thought I would do the walk anyway.
It started off ok heading straight up the hill, but soon started crisscrossing the fall line. What should have been a 600 metre climb turned out to be a 1.6 km. walk. A bit slower, but very enjoyable just the same. Having obtained the required information, I walked over to GZ and quickly located the cache.
I took a toy car and left a packet of bells, suitable for Christmas. Thanks, Maccamob, for a lovely walk, some great views, and for the cache.

Found 13.00 by Team Crackers. Had more trouble finding our way to the summit than finding the cache. A few sightseers around so after gathering clues we admired the views until they left. Found cache in about 5 minutes,(Wifes first find). Took note pad Left pull strings.
Thanks Maccamob.
Thanks Maccamob.
Again taking full advantage of daylight savings I drove down after work via the Buckland Gap and found the cache at 1920 AESST. The trickiest part was choosing the correct road to get me up to the lookout.
Took a photo and left a couple of pairs of earplugs I had in the car. The rhinos decided to stay and graze in Wodonga ce soir (or maybe I just forgot them).
How do maccamob disguise their containers so well?

FOUND!! By Vic SES team which I was in during Search in this area, I had to quickly advise the team member about GeoCaching after the person found it without a GPS!
Nearly was taken away but once I told them about why it was there they put it back. Anyway good to know our line searching can really allow us to find things.
I checked the location and the cache which had been opened then put it back.
No log put into notepad due to issue - but this note is no problem.

Apart from problems finding the right road and the right lookout, this was easy. We even drove all the way up to the wrong lookout because we were so sure and didn't even look at the eTrex. Beware - the road isn't very good on the way to the wrong lookout. The views are better from the right one and it was a nice clear sunny Spring day too.
Once we checked the eTrex we were soon at location 1 and already guessing which way the cache would be. We were wrong! The walk there was pretty short so the dogs felt cheated. The cache is well camouflaged (as usual for Maccamob) but was located at 2:50pm after a short (10 minute) search. We imagined the Maccamob-mobile stacked high with various sizes and colours of cache boxes each time they head for the bush.
Took small Santa Claus wooden doll and left 1994 Ford Mustang toy car.
Tonight we heard news on the TV about the searches in Myrtleford but it seems strange that an SES searcher found the cache easily. You guys must be determined!!

A lull in the weather and a nice walk up the hill to wear in some new boots. Easy find once the GPS setteled down.
