On our way from Yulara to Kings Canyon Murkel and me stopped here and made a nice walk to GZ.We found the box quickly. The box is broken and we had no container with us, but we put the log sheet in a hopefully watertight silikon bag inside the old Box and put it upside down. Thanks for the cache
Quick find after a short walk from the road. Now continuing our trip to Uluru. The container began to show its age, would be good if the next visitor could bring a new one in.TFTH
On my roundtrip along Australia with Oopie we are douing always some caches.Today we ware on the way from Uluru to Kings Canyon and we did a few nice caches.CO thanks for bringing us on this nice place and make this cache.
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. Started on the 17th September in Cairns. Our plan is driving.along the eastcoast down. Then in the south on to Adelaide and from there ending the 31th October in Alice Springs.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case KarmicKev, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
OMGGood thing I didnt stop for this one last night as I was driving through.I backtracked today after kings canyon loop walk in the hot sun.I missed the 4x4 track but picked up a 2WD trackwell sort .Started heading towards it,but the track got sandy.I got out and walked the last 200 odd metres through bush and wotnot .50m in I thought I better take a WP so I can find my car lol. That turned out to be a smart move.Ended up at GZ eventually. What a great old cache.Plenty of fun.Plenty of NT cache funin the sun.Cheers
Found by The Empire + HThe journey to Kings Canyon was a great drive. The vastness of the Red Centre stretched before us, and the distant outlines of rocky formations hinted at the geological marvels that awaited. The road winds through arid landscapes, where the colors of the earth seemed to shift with the changing light, creating a painter's palette of reds, oranges, and browns. Thanks for the cache karmickev-finder.- M@empiregeocaching

Family reunion after 3 long years! Ms Emu’s parents came over from Germany and the Emus took them on a couple of road trips down the Mornington peninsula, along the Great Ocean Road, to the Grampians and on an adventure around Alice Springs, Uluru and Kings Canyon.

Together with my favorite geocacher Milonguera we traveled to Australia We went to Melbourne via Singapore and from there we explore the south, the center and the east coast.
We walked around Melbourne and had a nice meet & greet event. Than we visited Philip Island with the pinguins and the Great Ocean Road. We fed and petted kangaroos visited the koalas and continued north via Coober Pedy to Alice Springs. We hiked around the impressive Uluru and through the beautiful Kata Tjuta.
**Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for showing the location and for hiding the cache. You should come to Berlin in Germany to find a lot of interesting geocaches, visit lost places in the surrounding Brandenburg and meet nice people at many events.
I wish you a lot of fun and great adventures while searching for the next geocache!**
Ich bedanke mich bei karmickev für den Cache, das Zeigen dieses Ortes, das Legen und Pflegen der Dose und den Spaß beim Finden! Thanks for the cache!

On our way from Kings Canyon to Ayers Rock, we stopped for a few caches. This was one of them. An unexpected view. Tftc.
On the way to King's Canyon with chychu... Quick stop here to grab this cache... From our roadside parking we did some bush walking to the cache... Flynets really helped...

Sir_spectre and I went on a long overdue holiday to the Northern Territory. We had some great experiences and saw some amazing natural wonders. Not all went to plan - covid closures, flood effected roads, renovations, hot weather, some car troubles and not forgetting the huge jump in fuel costs
Any caches that needed repairs were fixed and numeous logs were replaced or added too.
Thanks to KarmicKev from mogni

Overshot the turn off point and had to turn around. Very glad to have the 4x4 here and not mogni's car, that saved walking in 36 degree heat. Always good to get a old cache. quick find.
Mogni and myself went to the Northern Territory for a 10 day holiday. We drove 5478 km's in those 10 days. The plan was to go up the Sturt highway and then go via Ayers Rock, King's Canyon and then through to Alice Springs stopping at the gorges/chasm/gaps along the way. As you can expect nothing goes to plan. Day 1 Adelaide to Cooper Pedy, made it just before the Roxby Downs turn off and blow the side wall on the tire of the 4x4, 193 km detour just to get a tire and even then it was the second tire place that had the tire the correct size. We had camels come in to the campsite in Erldunda Roadhouse, they even left hoof prints 1/2 a foot from the tent, at King's Canyon we had dingo's come through the camp ground both nights we where there and at Alice springs we had a mouse move in under the tent in their campground. Some of the aboriginal towns we passed where in lock down because of covid 19 so no going in to get fuel there, that changed some plans. The floods where way worse up in Northern Territory than i realized. Some creeks/rivers i could see the debris over 2 meters from the river bed and down one 4x4 track it washed the road away completely, the hole was 3/4 the length of the 4x4 and over 6 foot deep. The temp was 33 to 36 for 9 of the 10 days and finally cooled down for the drive home. We got 7 different caches types in the N.T. plus every different cache size. It was a good trip but not the one we planned. To many of the roads in the N.T. where damaged and not repaired ( still closed ) so that cancelled plan A but that's just a excuse to come back isn't it. Come back and see what you missed last time when the roads are fixed. We came with 19 regular " geocaching size " containers and a milk crate of small containers by day 7 all the regulars where used as replaced caches and by day 8 the smalls where gone. It was the UV rays a lot more than the floods that killed the caches and almost all the log books where saved, the micro containers seemed to have constantly full log sheets so they where replaced too.

Very happy we bought the 4WD although would have just walked from the road if we didn't. A good secluded spot with zero chance of muggles. Cache description asked for ice-cream container to be replaced but someone has already done this and cache is in good order. Took away the rubbish and replaced with a couple of swaps. TFTC
On the way to Uluru from Kings Canyon I saw the green dot on the map. It was quite a hike from the highway but there is a track you can follow for most of it. We were towing the caravan and were not game to drive in as it looked too sandy and being bogged in sand is not great. The cache was found and is in good condition.
Cool little spot, found with PSGV1 on our way to Kings Canyon. Picked up piping bag trackable, ready to take it on an adventure! TFTC!
Found with Nukky13, picked up Wolverine Trackable to take it on its way. Cool little spot, TFTC
It’s always great to find an old cache. Stopped at the dirt track and walked easily to the remote cache. Dropped two Trackables. Thanks.
Three weeks on the road for a family holiday to Alice Springs, Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon amongst other cool destinations had us traveling all over the place. We had a great time and the weather was extremely hot with bushfires that actually prevented us from going to some destinations.
Today we made our way from Yulara to Petermann and Kings Canyon where we would spend the next few days. Along the way I stopped to find a few caches and this was one of them.
Thanks for the cache.

Finally getting around to logging all my finds since this pandemic began.
What an extraordinary site! I have dreamed and dreamed of this place since I was a child. I’ve heard many stories from Aunties and Uncles about this sacred place. It was a dream come true to visit here! We left quite late for Kings Canyon pretty late in the day but decided to stop for the caches on the way there. What is time????

Found on the long trek to Watarraka for a weekend get away.
My first real bush cache for my stay in Alice (if you don't count Gillen). Plenty of horse and camel tracks around but none seen.

The Red Centre was our 3rd stop on our 2-week tour of Australia from Chicago, and we stopped here on our way from Kings Canyon to Uluru today. Mahalo for a nice little "bushwhack" to get things going! TFTC!!
An easy find as we headed towards Alice Springs via the Mereenie loop. Thanks for a reason to stop.
@Davidwazza and I travelled to the Northern Territory from Adelaide for a 2.5 weeks road trip holiday in the infamous black jeep. We took a route through Port Augusta, Woomera, Roxby Downs, Andamooka, and then drove the Oodnadatta Track via Coward Springs, William Creek (including a Lake Eyre scenic flight), Oodnadatta, and Marla. It was then onwards to visit Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuṯa (Olgas), Kings Canyon, and then drove the Red Centre Way aka. Mereenie Loop Road to see the Tjoritja (West MacDonell Ranges), calling in to see the various highlights. We then stayed a few nights in Alice Springs, and included a day trip to see the East MacDonell Ranges, before heading home in a more direct route through Palm Valley, Owen Springs Reserve, Henbury Craters, and the Lambert Centre of Australia, and finally Coober Pedy.
Today, we said goodbye to Uluru and headed back along the Red Centre Way, turning off towards Kings Canyon.

Our final stop was Coober Pedy, and we really enjoyed checking out the various dugouts and mines.
Today, we made our way from Uluru along the Red Centre Way towards Kings Canyon. It was primarily a travel day and rest day after a late night. Once we got settled in at our accommodation, we did a walk to Kathleen Springs nearby.
This was a nice 04/2003 oldie to have found. It was our only physical find for today, and despite previous logs, we thought the coordinates were good. Perhaps the cache must have been replaced back at the right GZ in the pile of rocks? The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks karmickev for placing this cache and its ongoing maintenance.
Note that the Related Webpage link no longer works also.

On our way from Uluru to Kings Canyon we went for the "bush walk" to find this cache. Cool location, tftc.
Great place within the bushland.
Dry box and safe walk.
No animals visible during day.

Lots of footrprints from camels but we did not see any. Easy find after a short walk from the road. TFTC
Stroll through bush .. easy find and container now a largish white screwtop. Could lose your way back to the car though. .. thanks Kev.
Nice cache. I have worked at kings creek station for 7 months and i had no idea of this path. Will definitely come back and explore more
Tenkae's Outback Adventure Day 10 - heading to the rock today after an epic adventure at Kings Canyon. Lots of signs of camels here... Took 2 tbs, left 1
Found after a short walk from road where we left our van dropped in 2 TBs to travel
Not to hard to find but a bit of walk from the main road. Hoping to find our way back to the vehicle
Had a great day hiking the Rim Walk in Kings Canyon. Such an awesome part of Australia and we are so lucky to be able to experience it. This cache is a little back from the road but it was good to get out and stretch our legs on our way back to Uluru. Thanks for the cache!
Our last cache for the day on our drive to Kings Canyon. We stopped just off the road and decided to walk not wanting to risk our hire car all wheel drive capabilities. We saw some reasonably fresh camel tracks but didn't see any camels. At the cache we found our pen leaking and made one of the worst log entries every...sorry...
We climb up the ridge line for a great view of the area. Thanks for the cool cache.

After spending four days travelling up on my own from Adelaide, I met up with FeatherWaite in Alice Springs for a few days of travelling around and caching.
We visited various places in the West Macdonnells, including Hugh Gorge, then went out to Kings Canyon, up the Finke Gorge track to Hermannsburg, into Palm Valley, then back to Adelaide, taking a week in all. We saw, and camped in some fantastic places, although the late September weather was a little warm!

Looking for a diversion we went in search of this one. Found the entrance into the bush and got to within 10m of GZ. Or so we thought. GZ is actually 20m East. Tftc.
Heading into Kings Canyon
Parked the van on the side of the road and walked the 400m to cache. As with others it was about 20m E of GZ. Really loving this scenery TFTC

We just found a pile of rocks. If this is the hide then this one needs some love. If it's elsewhere then the coords need updating. I couldn't search for long as I had a 6 year old with me that got bored after 15 minutes.
Thanks anyway KarmicKev.

Arrived yesterday from NZ and did the wonderful Kings Canyon loop walk today where we got a few earth caches and one traddie. Now heading back to meet our Kiwi Mayes who arrived today. Went zooming past the wee road and had to double back. Worth doing and 4wd not required. Loved the red dust road to get close to the treasure. Nice to see the new container and see some fellow Kiwis were the last through a couple of days ago.
This was an interesting little diversion on our way out from King’s Canyon. We parked by the side of the road and made an overland excursion to the cache site. Our travelling companions zoomed past and left us to it, so we hoped that we could find our vehicle again - which we didn’t think would be too problematic given that we had a secret weapon that the early settlers didn’t in the form of a gps! We found the cache and rejoined our Tassie companions further up the road. TFTC
Probably one of our scariest finds, having to wade through a couple of hundred metres of scrubs, hoping to avoid snakes. Came in at it from the wrong direction, stopped on the road where the GPS initially told us it was directly inland, didn't read about the road until it was too late, but found it on the way out.

On our way from Ayers Rock to Kings Canyon today. This lonely cache was along the way so we made sure to call in and find it. We found a track which lead towards it so with the caravan in tow we were about to follow it to within 100meters of GZ. From there it was an easy walk. We were looking for Camels but didn’t see any today.

Considering the limited number of caches around here, I was not going to pass through without stopping to find this one.
Bad time of the day to do it though, and there was no way the car was going off road.
Haphazardly started walking off the road and made my way across a dry creek bed, through a bunch of trees and bushes that might contain snakes, and then to the vicinity of the cache. Noticed the rocky ridges nearby, which define the area like a mini canyon.
Walked around in circles for a while, worried that I might get lost and be in a great deal of strife, but eventually made the find, signed, and got back out of the heat.
Would not last long out here without a ton of water and food. Even then you could die of heat exhaustion - Scary!
Thanks for the cache!

What a rocky and hot bush walk und suddenly you get close to the cache and realize that there’s a 4WD track leading there from somewhere ...
