Went back to find this for a second time because we love the location. There were lots of muggles around, trying to retrieve a tennis ball floating down the river and people walking (and riding quad bikes!) on the other side of the river. We waited for a clear moment and took it to another location to process it.

It was sticking out a bit when we got there so replaced it a bit further in.

T: pencil sharpener, rubber ball
L: hair clip set, mini boomerang

Found during a bit of night caching. Given the previous logs (which I read afterwards) I probably would not have tried it in the dark. Once at the location, took a while to find, but thanks to The White Family clearing this summer, it was not too difficult.

After a tour of a seemingly unnecessary one-way system we parked at N51°26.667 W000°22.510 less than 300m from the cache. That was the easy part. We walked through the park past the interesting Shot Tower and into the nature reserve where we found more remains of, presumably, the gunpowder works.

Finding the cache was much more difficult. We searched for nearly an hour, exploring all the likely spots. The whole area is very overgrown at this time of year. Eventually we saw something half-hidden in the undergrowth which matched the hint. After much trampling of vegetation we finally spotted the cache. It's now an easy find - just follow our path Big Grin.

Thanks for the cache.

This cache has been on the books since Christmas when I failed to get out of my mate's armchair (who lives nearby)due to an overload of mince pies. 4 months on, I dragged him out on a hunt for this cache. We rescued it before the rampant nettles enclosed the ammo-box and before the leaves on the trees upsetted the GPS rays. Cache is in good condition considering untouched for over 2 months. Took Starship Enterprise TB, and cement lorry and left a ticket for a ride. It is now easy to find - just follow the trail of flatten neetles left behind by us! T4TC
